In dieser Folge des Elektroauto-News-Podcast spreche ich mit Florian Kraft, CEO von Renault Deutschland, über die zentralen Stellschrauben für den Erfolg von Elektroautos in einem der anspruchsvollsten Automärkte Europas. Im Fokus steht weniger das einzelne Auto als vielmehr das Gesamtsystem aus Preis, Laden, Nutzung und Erwartungsmanagement. Ein zentrales Thema ist der neue elektrische Renault Twingo. Kraft erläutert, warum Renault bei dem Modell bewusst an der ursprünglichen DNA festhält: Erschwinglichkeit, Einfachheit und Nähe zum Kunden sollen erhalten bleiben, kombiniert mit einer konsequent elektrischen Auslegung. Retro-Design ja, aber ohne technische Kompromisse. Trotz kleinerer Batterie im Vergleich zu Renault 4 und Renault 5 soll der Twingo alles bieten, was Kundinnen und Kunden im A-Segment erwarten – inklusive Konnektivität, variabler Rückbank und Alltagstauglichkeit. Der angepeilte Einstiegspreis von unter 20.000 Euro ist Teil einer klaren Kostenstrategie auf Basis der AmpR-Small-Plattform. Darüber hinaus ordnet Kraft die strategische Ausrichtung von Renault ein. Der Konzern treibt die Elektrifizierung voran, hält aber bewusst an einem breiten Antriebsportfolio fest – von Elektroautos über Hybride bis hin zu Verbrennern. Für Renault ist das kein Widerspruch, sondern Ausdruck von Marktverständnis und Risikobalance. Mut zeigt sich aus seiner Sicht nicht nur bei neuen Elektroplattformen, sondern auch darin, klassische Modelle wie den neuen Clio weiterhin anzubieten. Einen breiten Raum nimmt das Thema Laden ein. Kraft macht deutlich, dass aus seiner Erfahrung nicht die Verfügbarkeit von Ladesäulen das größte Problem ist, sondern die Kosten und die mangelnde Transparenz bei den Ladepreisen. Schnellladepreise von bis zu 1,20 Euro pro Kilowattstunde seien für private Vielfahrer kaum kalkulierbar. Elektromobilität scheitere daher oft nicht am Auto, sondern an der fehlenden Planungssicherheit im Alltag. Als Antwort darauf stellt Renault unter anderem den Mobilize Charge Pass vor, mit dem Kundinnen und Kunden an Ionity-Stationen für 0,39 Euro pro Kilowattstunde laden können. Entscheidend sei weniger der niedrigste Preis als ein verlässlicher Rahmen. Gerade für urbane Elektroautos wie den Twingo denkt Renault zudem über stärker auf AC-Laden zugeschnittene Lösungen nach. Auch die neue Elektroauto-Prämie wird eingeordnet. Kraft sieht sie als unterstützendes Instrument, nicht als entscheidenden Hebel. Der Markt habe sich weiterentwickelt, viele Menschen setzten sich heute aktiv mit Elektromobilität auseinander. Gleichzeitig spricht er offen über die Lernkurve beim Umstieg auf Elektroautos. Eine Anpassungsphase von zwei bis acht Wochen sei realistisch – Ehrlichkeit im Verkauf und Begleitung statt Belehrung seien daher entscheidend. Abgerundet wird das Gespräch durch einen Blick auf die Rolle des Handels im Wandel. Händler bleiben das emotionale Bindeglied zum Kunden, stehen aber vor steigenden Erwartungen, etwa bei Fragen zu Wallboxen, Ladeinfrastruktur und digitalen Diensten. Elektromobilität wird damit zunehmend zu einem Gesamtsystem, das erklärt und begleitet werden muss. Eine Folge für alle, die verstehen wollen, warum Elektromobilität weniger an Technik als an Rahmenbedingungen entscheidet – und welche Rolle Hersteller wie Renault dabei spielen.

The new system keeps Rivian's software platform independent while enhancing control and integration.   Rivian CEO confident for R2  CEO RJ Scaringe says development of Rivian's $45,000 R2 compact EV is on track for 2026, marking his highest confidence in the company's future. Backed by Amazon and Volkswagen, Rivian aims to expand EV accessibility through advanced, software‑led design.   Volvo EX40 to use SPA3  Volvo's upcoming EX40 will debut the SPA3 platform with cell‑to‑body batteries, new motors and megacasting for major cost and efficiency gains. Launching in 2027 under $50,000, it will offer up to 350 miles of range and support future‑ready tech.   Tesla trims Model 3 features  Tesla's new base Model 3 and Model Y remove certain comfort and powered features to cut cost and entry price. The pared‑back design lowers prices to make ownership more accessible, though with slightly reduced performance and range.   BYD sales surge overseas  BYD's September German registrations jumped 2,225% year‑on‑year, driving European growth despite softer China demand. Using Fuso eCanters and Mercedes eSprinters, the rollout supports FedEx's goal to fully electrify its fleet by 2040.   Fuell assets sold   Fuell, Erik Buell's electric mobility firm, sold its assets for just $170,000 following bankruptcy and low awareness. The sale concludes a once‑promising venture, though a new owner could yet revive the innovative brand.   Pakistan's fake “graphene” batteries issue   About 90% of Pakistan's e‑bikes reportedly use mislabeled lead‑acid “graphene” batteries, undermining EV subsidy goals. Industry leaders are urging the government to shift incentives toward true lithium‑ion systems for quality and consumer protection.

Xiaomi blijft maar bevestigen dat het in 2027 naar Europa komt. Dus dan zal het wel echt zo zijn. Volkswagen bevestigt dat de ID.Every1 ook in 2027 komt, net als de Nissan Wave (broertje van de nieuwe Renault Twingo). Of de richtingaanwijzers van de Chinese Tesla Model 3 ook naar Europa komen is nog even de vraag. Dat de Kia EV4 na de zomer 2025 in Nederland verschijnt is wel zeker. De laatste EV die we bespreken is nog niet bevestigd, maar zal waarschijnlijk wel komen, het is de Hyundai Ioniq 3 (broertje van de Kia EV3). Deze kunnen we hopelijk al op de IAA in München aanschouwen. Als achtergrondverhaal gaat het over een onderzoek waarbij in 2027 (alweer dit jaartal) de EV goedkoper is dan de brandstofauto. Dit komt door vier zaken. Tevens is het interessant om te lezen dat er een voorzichtig akkoord is op een handelsdeal tussen Europa en de VS waarbij het wellicht gemakkelijker/goedkoper wordt om een auto te importeren vanuit Amerika naar Europa en visa versa. Als afsluiter onze primeurlijst van de aankomende IAA. Dla Przemka był to dzień, gdy jako ostatni w kolejce, stojąc przed wyborem kierunku studiów, postanowił odrzucić geografię, którą wszyscy jego znajomi uznali za oczywisty wybór, i złożył papiery na informatykę. Ten odważny krok był początkiem drogi, która doprowadziła go do stworzenia innowacyjnego narzędzia, z którego korzysta dziś 15 000 firm. Jak zacząć, gdy masz tylko marzenia? Przemek od młodości fascynował się technologią. Na studiach zamiast odpoczywać, spędzał noce na programowaniu, ucząc się na własnych błędach. Pierwsze projekty realizował, aby „sprawdzić, czy da radę”. Jeden z nich wynagrodzono… samochodem Renault Twingo. Choć historia spalonego auta mogła skończyć się tragicznie, Przemek wspomina ten moment jako pierwszy kamień milowy w swojej karierze. Ryzyko: Decyzje, które zmieniają życie Już jako młody przedsiębiorca postawił na swoje zasady: brak kompromisów i praca na 200%. Po latach tworzenia rozwiązań dla innych firm, przyszedł moment przełomowy — inwestor, który zauważył jego potencjał i zaproponował współpracę. „To nie zdarza się codziennie. On uwierzył w zespół, a nie w gotowy produkt” — wspomina Przemek. W ten sposób powstał Mizzox, narzędzie, które eliminuje chaos organizacyjny w małych i średnich firmach. Dla Przemka czas to najcenniejszy zasób. Stąd motto: „Działaj teraz, bo jeśli upadniesz, zawsze możesz wstać, ale nie odzyskasz straconych chwil.” Każdy krok jego kariery to dowód, że ryzyko, jeśli podejmowane świadomie, prowadzi do wielkich rzeczy. Po dwóch latach od startu Mizzoxa, Przemek zarządza narzędziem, które wspiera tysiące firm. Ale jak sam mówi, to dopiero początek. „Nie chodzi o to, ile zarobisz, ale co stworzysz. Hicimos un podcast de coches pesados… y rápidamente muchos me pedisteis éste, el de coches ligeros. ¡Y rápidamente lo hemos hecho! ¡Somos muy cumplidores! Pasamos de hablar de coches de 3 toneladas a coches de 300 y pico kg… ¡qué diferencia! Y os traigo nada menos que 15… porque he hecho unas pequeñas trampitas. Y es que hacer hoy día y con coches actuales de venta al público una lista de coches ligeros, casi equivale a hacer una lista de coches sencillos y baratos. Y es que podría deciros, sencilla y llanamente, que “los coches ligeros han muerto”. Por eso junto a coches de serie de venta en la actualidad os he traído algunos ejemplos de coche ligeros que no son actuales, pero son una referencia en este asunto. Y ya, para acabar de complicarlo todo he elegido coches actuales o muy actuales, pero… ¡un pero muy gordo!... ¡artesanales! 1. LCC Rocket. 386 kg. (1991). Con solo 386 kilogramos, anunciaba un 0 a 100 km/h en 4,4 segundos y solo se fabricaron 55 unidades. 2. Caterham Seven 170R. 440 kg. (Actualidad). La versión 170 R con motor Suzuki turboalimentado de 660 cm3 y 84 CV, marca sólo 440 kg en la báscula, lo que le permite acelerar de 0 a 100 en 6,9 segundos. 3. Renault Twizy. 450 kg. (Actualidad). Un coche diseñado y nacido para la ciudad y que debe su peso, entre otras cosas, a su reducido tamaño: 2,3 metros de largo y 1,4 metros de ancho. A pesar de ser eléctrico, era muy ligero, pero eso se pagaba en autonomía, que rondaba los 60 kilómetros. 4. De Tomaso Vallelunga. 500 kg. (1964). Cuando hablas de “De Tomaso” muchos piensan en preciosos deportivos con motor V8… lo que es cierto. Pero entre los años 1964 y 1968 nació este Vallelunga con un motor de 1,5 litros del Ford Cortina. 5. Fiat 500. 500 kg. (1957). Solo pesaba 500 kilos, pero su nombre no proviene del peso sino de la cilindrada de su motor bicilíndrico de refrigeración por aire, inicialmente 479 cm3 y 20 CV. 6. Lotus Elan. 584 kg. (1960). El mismo tío que decía “quítame un kg antes de darme un caballo” diseñó este coche. Hablamos por supuesto de Colin Chapman que fue el creador del Lotus Elan que pesaba 584 kilos, gracias a su chasis de viga central de acero y su carrocería de fibra de vidrio. 7. MINI 850. 580 kg. (1959). Quizás en este caso la ligereza fue una consecuencia, más que un objetivo. Porque el Mini era un coche pequeño, muy pequeño. Y bastante simple. Con el motor de cuatro cilindros y 850 cm3, el Mini pesaba 580 kilogramos. 8. Ariel Atom. 595 kg. (Actualidad). Tengo debilidad por los modelos fabricados por Ariel y en particular por el Atom. Hablamos de un biplaza con motor del Civic Type R, un 2.0 Turbo de 320 CV para 595 kg y consigues un “pepino” capaz de acelerar de 0 a 100 km/h en apenas 2,8 segundos. 9. Citroën AX. 640 kg. (1986). En el caso del AX la ligereza no era el objetivo principal… pero era el objetivo. Citroën quería un coche con un consumo muy bajo y para eso el peso es clave. El diseño del chasis, el empleo masivo del plástico e ideas muy originales, como el portón trasero sin estructura metálica, sino usando el propio cristal como estructura, permitieron un peso de 640 kg. 10. Spartan. 680 kg. (Actualidad). Este coche no es de las islas británicas, pero sí de una isla muy grande: Australia. La receta es parecida a la del Ariel: estructura tubular, carrocería de fibra de carbono, motor trasero 2.4 Honda de 275 CV y un peso de 680 kg en su versión básica. La aceleración de 0 a 100 es de sólo 3,3 segundos. 11. Suzuki Ignis. 935 kg. (Actualidad). El Ignis es el campeón de los coches ligeros producidos en grandes series. Hablamos de la versión básica, el Hybrid 2WD con el acabado más reducido con un peso en orden de marcha de sólo 935 kg. 12. Renault Twingo. 940 kg. (Actualidad). Aquí hacemos otra pequeña trampa porque en el momento de grabar este video la versión con motor de gasolina 1.0 SCE de 65 CV, la más ligera y que pesa solo 940 kg, no está disponible en España sonde solo se vende el eléctrico. Su aceleración de 0 a 100 km/h llega a los 15,1 segundos. 12+1. Mitsubishi Space Star. 940 kg. (Actualidad). El actual en su versión básica 1.2 pesa también 940 kg. con motor de gasolina de 1,2 litros y 71 CV. Tampoco es un “dragster” y acelera de 0 a 100 en 14,1 segundos. 14. Suzuki Swift. 965 kg. (Actualidad). Cuenta con la misma mecánica híbrida ligera de 83 CV del Ignis y acelera de 0 a 100 en 12 segundos además de tener un consumo muy bajo, en ciclo combinado: 4,7 litros cada 100 km. 15. Kia Picanto. 978 kg. (Actualidad). Y cerramos esta lista con el Picanto, al borde de la tonelada de peso en su variante más básica con motor 1.0 DPi de 67 CV pesa tan sólo 978 kg. acelera de 0 a 100 en 14,6 segundos y su consumo combinado es de 5,0 litros cada 100 km.
