St. Alphonsus Liguori's meditation on the Most Holy Sacrament invites us to contemplate the love of Jesus in the Eucharist, where Our Lord remains with us even to the end of the world. In this episode of The Latin Prayer Podcast, we read Meditation Number One from St. Alphonsus Liguori's Octave of Corpus Christi: “The Love of Jesus in the Most Holy Sacrament.” This short Eucharistic meditation reflects on the institution of the Blessed Sacrament, the presence of Christ in the tabernacle, and the call to adore Him with faith, gratitude, and love. Although this meditation belongs to the Octave of Corpus Christi, it can be prayed and reflected upon at any time of the year. It is especially fitting for Eucharistic adoration, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, and meditation before the tabernacle. Luke 4:38-41 Do you feel that Jesus tires of hearing of your needs or requests? In this account Jesus demonstrates how his love responds to our requests and it heals our physical and spiritual hurts. His love carries authority and hope for us as evidenced in His sacrifice on the cross and rising from the grave.
Over and over throughout Holy Week, we see Jesus doing the hard thing because He loves us. Jesus Christ was never bolder or more clear about His true identity than in the final days before His death on the cross. He loves us enough to get in our face and call us out when we are on a path that is heading to destruction. The words and actions of Jesus may seem harsh, but in reality they were loving. Jesus was the king of tough love. But tough love isn't for the tender-hearted who desperately want to please the Father. Tough love is for the hard-hearted who need to be broken before it's too late. Thank you for joining us – father-daughter duo Marcus Warner and Stephanie Warner – on the trail to a deeper walk with God!

On the night of his arrest, Jesus did something no one expected — he knelt down and washed his disciples' feet, including the feet of the man who would betray him. In this episode, Dr. John Neufeld explores John 13:1–17, unpacking what this remarkable act of humble service reveals about the love of Jesus — a love that serves, gives, forgives, and ultimately leads him to the cross.Passion: Easter is a pivotal time in the life of a Christian. The foundation of our faith relies on the death and more importantly, the resurrection of Jesus. This 15-message series will prepare our hearts for the Easter season as Dr. Neufeld walks us through the various aspects of the time leading up to Jesus' death. What can thirst teach us about the love of Christ? When Jesus encounters the woman at Jacob's Well, he sees a person who is thirsty, yes, and yearning for so much more. As we imagine ourselves interacting with Jesus in the place of this woman, Jesus shows us we are worthy of love and offers us his life-giving love that will satisfy our deepest longings. Pastor Jordan Kologe teaches from John 4.

Jesus expounds on the command to abide in Him by telling us to remain in His love—a love which He initiates and which is experienced through ongoing obedience. As believers endure in dependence on Christ, we learn that the path of obedience is a path that leads to the fulness of joy.

The Love of Jesus Is So Wonderful John 13:1-17
John 13:21-38English Standard Version21 After saying these things, Jesus was troubled in his spirit, and testified, “Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.” 22 The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke. 23 One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was reclining at table at Jesus' side, 24 so Simon Peter motioned to him to ask Jesus of whom he was speaking. 25 So that disciple, leaning back against Jesus, said to him, “Lord, who is it?” 26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I will give this morsel of bread when I have dipped it.” So when he had dipped the morsel, he gave it to Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot. 27 Then after he had taken the morsel, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “What you are going to do, do quickly.” 28 Now no one at the table knew why he said this to him. 29 Some thought that, because Judas had the moneybag, Jesus was telling him, “Buy what we need for the feast,” or that he should give something to the poor. 30 So, after receiving the morsel of bread, he immediately went out. And it was night.31 When he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now is the Son of Man glorified, and God is glorified in him. 32 If God is glorified in him, God will also glorify him in himself, and glorify him at once. 33 Little children, yet a little while I am with you. You will seek me, and just as I said to the Jews, so now I also say to you, ‘Where I am going you cannot come.' 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”36 Simon Peter said to him, “Lord, where are you going?” Jesus answered him, “Where I am going you cannot follow me now, but you will follow afterward.” 37 Peter said to him, “Lord, why can I not follow you now? I will lay down my life for you.” 38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? Truly, truly, I say to you, the rooster will not crow till you have denied me three times.
