It is not about how much you can get done each day, it is about how much you can get done over the course of a career or throughout a lifetime. We were canoeing down the Weser River. And another 8-person rowing boat, much faster than our boat was over the course of one day always slower than our canoe… Because they had to rest after one kilometer again and again… if you keep doing every day a task, even at a slow pace you can get much more done than a person that is chasing his goal… And the good thing is you are relaxed and enjoy doing your task…If you go on vacation and you should do so every year, switch off your internet connection…. I do so, my friends are complaining and I say always there was no internet connection, actually, there was one, but too slow and too expensive… And then you can relax. Afterward, you are much more productive. I recommend going to China, your social media will not work, or most internet services that you use… Nobody can reach you. Perfect, if you would do the Kailash Chora in Tibet! Rule 1There are two ways to see the world:Some people see the things they want. And some people see what prevents them from getting what they want.Rule 2Take care of each other. We are social beings and reckless behavior on the way to getting the things you want will backfire. My father was very successful and he cried during his speech to his 60 birthday when he mentioned that his friends helped him during his darkest time… And all of these friends were also very successful!Learn to help each other and ask for help when necessary. Honesty say, I can't do it can you help me?The people who like or love you will be delighted to help you. Lesson three:Be a great leader…For instance, Nelson Mandala says: First, hear the opinions of your colleagues. So that every person feels to be heard.Ask questions so that you can understand their opinions.Don't show any approval or disapproval.Second, be the last to speak your own opinion…Lesson Four Take responsibility for the things where you fail and don't blemish it on other people. Good management is creating an environment where every person is doing his best and so they attract also the best people… Bad management blemishes the people for their misfortune and applauds themselves for their success. My father said we depend on every person that is working for us and so I share our profit with all of them!Lesson fiveBe humble and be thankful for everything that you get…Lesson sixHave a heart for everyone… (1) Focus on what you want, not what gets in the way of what you want. (2) Take care of others (3) Listen first, speak last. (4) Take accountability for your actions(5) Practice humility My Video: Simon Sinek's Advice can change your life https://youtu.be/d7OdlJhtvbk My Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast4/Simon-Sinek's-Advice-can-change-your-life.mp3

Solomon exposed many dark realities of our life under the sun (injustice, oppression, envy, complacency, isolation and ultimately death). It's tempting to sit in despair over so much we can't control and so much we don't understand. But the Lord gives us glimpses of life “above the sun” to move us to contentment and even joy. We can rest knowing that our confidence doesn't lie in a justice system, but in the Chief Justice himself. We find help and encouragement within the community of faith, in which he has placed us. And because our Lord Jesus Christ abolished death once for all, we have the hope and assurance of everlasting life.

This lesson is designed to move you into a motivational state that maximizes your chances of successfully changing your habits.Key ideas:1️⃣ The procrastination cycle consists of six steps: (1) Contemplating an important task, (2) which triggers an unhelpful core belief, (3) leading to a feeling of discomfort, (4) which causes us to create rationalizations, (5) resulting in choosing an alternative task, and (6) leading to experiencing both positive and negative outcomes that reinforce the cycle.2️⃣ Cognitive-behavioral therapy-based techniques are identified as the most effective ways to overcome procrastination. These methods focus on understanding the interplay among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.3️⃣ Four strategies have been identified to disrupt the procrastination cycle: (1) Modifying the task or environment, (2) learning to dismiss rationalizations, (3) adjusting unhelpful core beliefs, and (4) cultivating the ability to tolerate discomfort through mindfulness meditation.4️⃣ The likelihood of successfully changing procrastination habits hinges on three factors: (1) The willingness to change, (2) belief in the value of change, and (3) confidence in one's ability to enact change.Download Doer: overcome procrastination

How can God use you to help others? In this study, we learn... How Jesus is the "Great Physician" What it means that he is "Wonderful Counselor" Our role as ambassadors of Christ Four aspects of all personal ministry: love > know > speak > do Thanks for listening. This is week four in our 11-week counseling series, "Instruments in the Redeemer's Hands." What's up my Kate's Take listeners! I'm thrilled to be here with you today! Today is day 91 of 100. I'm excited to share my fourth lesson with you, which is all about consistency! First, let's call on our 5 questions. These questions are the bookends to your day - answer 1 and 2 in the morning, and 3 - 5 at night. What's one thing I'm grateful for? What's one thing I'll accomplish today that will bring me one step closer to my goal? What's something that's working well for me right now? What's something that's not working well for me right now? How can I either solve what's not working right now, or get rid of it? It works in all areas of your life. Not just with goal setting, not just in business, and not just in your personal life. Whatever you want to see more of - become better at - whatever you want to grow… become consistent in pursuing that thing. Show up every single day and remember what it is you're working towards - and WHY you're working towards that thing. Consistency builds powerful momentum to help you reach your goals - in all areas of your life. I hope you found value in today's episode on my fourth lesson learned from our 100 day goal challenge. As always, don't hesitate to reach out to me and share your wins - and your struggles. I'm kate@eofire.com or katelerickson on Instagram. We're also have conversations DAILY about our 100 Day Goal Challenge in our private Facebook Group - visit EOFire.com/facebook to join us today.

Luke 15 contains three parables, and the themes are repentance and joy. The third parable about the prodigal son does something different than the previous two. Instead of using the words repent and joy, we get to see repentance and joy demonstrated by the father and son. The son is never said to repent, but we get an answer to the question, "What does repentance look like?" by examining his actions. This allows us to draw out wonderful lessons about to apply to our lives. https://youtu.be/4h1Guo_f6Ro The prodigal son is never said to repent, but we get an answer to the question, "What does repentance look like?" by examining his actions. Table of ContentsFamily Worship GuideSermon NotesGenuine repentance (Lesson One) seeks to return to the Father.Genuine repentance (Lesson Two) takes responsibilityGenuine repentance (Lesson Three) uses the word, “sin.”.Genuine repentance (Lesson Four) knows the sin is against God.Genuine repentance (Lesson Five) accepts the consequences of sin.Genuine repentance (Lesson Six) produces a change in direction.Genuine repentance (Lesson Seven) gives hope. Family Worship Guide Directions: Read the verses and then answer the questions: Day 1: Luke 15:18, 2 Samuel 12:13 cf. 1 Samuel 13:11-12, 15:15-16—Why was the son finally willing to return to his father? What application does this have for us? What are some mistakes we make with our confessions that the son avoided?Day 2: Genesis 39:8-9, Psalm 51:3-4, Luke 15:19—What did the son do in his confession that was worth imitating? How is the world removing the word sin from our vernacular? Why is all sin against God even when it looks like we are sinning against someone else?Day 3: 15:15-16 cf. Luke 15:17-19—What does it mean that we can be forgiven but still have consequences? Can you provide some examples? In what ways did the son show that he was willing to accept the consequences of his sin? In what ways does repentance give hope? Sermon Notes The title of this morning's sermon is, “What Does Repentance Look Like?” On Sunday mornings we're working our way through Luke's gospel verse by verse and we find ourselves at Luke 15:18. Please stand with me for the reading of God's Word. We will start at verse 11 for context. Luke 15:11 And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.' And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything. 17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”' 20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. You may be seated. Let's pray. Look at verse 18… Luke 15:18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. Notice the words, “I will set out and go back to my father.” And this brings us to lesson one… Genuine repentance (Lesson One) seeks to return to the Father. It seems like the son tried going just about every other place he could. He was even willing to hire himself out to a Gentile and feed his pigs. But, finally,

How do we be more on purpose, and less on point and create learning with rigour but not rigidity? How do we elevate voice, choice and initiative knowing that as we do so we create more freedom and more responsibility? In this fourth episode of our 10-part special series on Learner Agency we discuss how students bring agency to life. This is the fourth lesson for agency shared by global education expert Charlie LeadBeater in conversation with educators from three different schools across South Australia. In our conversation we blend the conceptual with the concrete, exploring philosophy, practice and product and hear how schools have journeyed towards activating agency in their community. Three brilliant teachers join us for our conversation today: Renee Wehner from Calvary Lutheran Primary School, Aaron Mabikafola of Bethany Christian School, and Nadia Lovett of University Senior College. We discuss what purposeful learning looks like and how identity meets intent - when who we are powerfully intersects with what we want to achieve. As our educator colleagues share their learning journeys, both inner and outer, we discuss the connection between values and achievement, how they endure and evolve, and how if we connect purpose, commitment, and reflection we can create high agency learning experiences that lead to increased growth and mastery. This series is a special collaboration between The Learning Future and AISSA: The Association of Independent Schools of South Australia. Each of these ten podcast episode correspond to one of 10 lessons on Learning Agency from the soon to be published Centre for Strategic Education Paper authored by Charlie LeadBeater. We hope you enjoy our second conversation, agency as philosophy, product, and practice.See more: https://www.ais.sa.edu.au/events/student-agency-lab-three-year-project/ Transcript available upon request.
