Schmeev loves Boondox. He talks about it all the time. He always says "Mike, I've had it with ICP. I don't care about Twiztid. I don't have any Dead Homies. I really wanna hear about the coolest scarecrow since Jonathan Crane". Yup, we're breaking kayfabe here. All that stuff you hear in Juggalo Judgment episodes is for show. He's just that convincing. Dude should be an actor.   Anyways, Boondox teamed up with Mike E. Clark to produce his 2010 record and it's definitely southern and spooky. It also may have one of the worst Juggalo "love" songs we've come across yet. Grab your harmonica and banjos, we're about to go... South Of Hell.

Mike E. Clark is a motherfucking legend, and if anyone tells you different, you're legally obligated to kick them in the shins. The man is essentially the 3rd member of ICP and is responsible for some of the most iconic tracks in their career. During his time away from the label, he picked up some new tricks to add to his repertoire and brought them back to The Hatchet. His first order of business? No, not work on The Shining, shut up. Release a remix and mash-up album! The mad genius reworks some old classics along with some newer gems for the Juggalos to jame to. Does Mike finally convince Schmeev that there's a good remix? Does Schmeev find something good to say about Boondox? Do we really not need Prozak to be here? Find out today as we bust out the blender for... Psychopathic Murder Mix, Vol. 1.

Juggalo News Presents: The Carnival Grounds with Madd Maxxx and Reverend Television

On this episode of The Carnival Grounds, Maxxx and the Reverend discuss two of ICP's more polarizing albums, the EP the Calm and The Tempest, two of Insane Clown Posse's first efforts following the release of Hell's Pit and the end of The (first) Saga of The Six. These albums were not only famously produced solely by ICP but this was also the first time in many years that they did not have the full weight of a major record label behind them in some form or fashion, not to mention as discussed in the Soopa Villains episode, Alex had just up and left with many unpaid bills left on the books. To make matters worse, their relationship with Mike E Clark was, at best, simply less involved, or at worst, strained. As you'll come to find however, Maxxx and the Reverend feel these albums absolutely deserve their flowers as classic ICP projects. Check it out, or be forever stale.

Your Band Sucks (Banned Variant) by Dead by 28

The short explanation... Dead by 28 would frequently perform with Rap/HipHop acts back in the early 2000's, while they were signed to B4 Records. DX28 were working with Producer Mike E. Clark (known for his work with: Insane Clown Posse, Twiztid, Kid Rock). Many of the Rap Acts we played shows with would have Diss songs in their sets, and DX28 didn't want to miss out on the fun. We decided to write our own diss song, about the band that we hated the most....ourselves. The OG version of "Your band sucks" was musically a rap/industrial hybrid, however we decided to give it a proper Dead by 28 make-over this time around. This new "Banned" version features the original Puddle of Blood line-up, along with new Guitar (by Sissie Schitz), new Drums (by Blue-Beard), new Bass ( by The Grim Reefer), new production (by Keymaster).... all provided by the current line-up of Dead by 28. And we ended the song with an all new Skit featuring a very special appearance by: Devo Spice The over indulgent explanation of how this song came about: The original version of this song appeared on an album called "The 666th Symphony" by Puddle of Blood. POB was a secret "Dead by 28" side-project featuring: Chris "Dizman of Dead by 28" Grice as "Grave-Humper", Shawn "Keymaster of Dead by 28" Shaheen as "Hell-Razor" and Multi-Platinum Producer " Mike E. Clark of Detroit Legends as "Gut-Ripper". In 2003 when DX28 were working on the album "Made in Hell", it was the follow-up to DX28's and MEC's debut album "The Spawning". Made in Hell was intended to be a very dark industrial rock album and Mike E. was Producing it at the time. During those writing sessions Shawn and Chris had written many songs that just didn't fit the Made in Hell vibe, as they were to humorous and demented for that album. The material was much riskier and was intentionally pushing the boundries of freedom of speech. They were writing original material, skits, and offensive parody songs. Eventually Mike E. showed interest and joined the experiment. They called the band Puddle of Blood and they released the debut single " Devil's Night in Detroit". It was put out as a B-side on a Dead by 28's split single in 2003. Thus Puddle of Blood was formed. With Mike now sharing in the music writing process and Shawn sharing in the engineering/production process. Chris handled most of the lead vocals , with Mike E. also sharing his voice on much of the material. All 3 of them contributed to the music writing. The band eventually recruited an additional hype-man "Davey Gravey of the underground rap act "Bag of Hammers". Mr. Gravey went by the name Johnny Lobodomy, and he left the group before the album was released. POB recorded over 30 songs/skits of offensive music that included Parodies, and a musical mix of Comedy/Horror/Punk/Rap/Industrial/Dance for the album between 2003-2005 , it was briefly shelved when Mike E, began touring. Eventually Black 13 Recordings worked out an agreement with B4 Records and they released it in 2006 (with a limited pressing on 100 CD's). The CD's were sold at Dead by 28's and Puddle of Bloods concerts in 2006-2007 in the Midwest. After those original 100 copies were gone, the music was never replicated again or released digitally. In recent years, Mike E. Clark has said that the POB material felt like the funny side of DX28 that was absent on " Made in Hell" . We felt that it was a missing link in Dead by 28's history. So with it being the 20th anniversary of those Puddle of Blood recording sessions, the 3 original members decided to give the POB material a proper digital release. We have taken our favorite songs from the original POB recordings and created a flashback to DX28's past. The Puddle of Blood Experiment features all newly remastered versions of some of the original POB songs, includes new variants of songs, Remixes, and new skits. "Your Band Sucks- Banned variant" is the first single form "Dead by 28: Flashbacks - The Puddle of Blood Experiment". And it concludes with a brand new skit featuring the rantings of FUMP royalty Devo Spice. Available on August 11th, 2023 on Black 13 Recordings. Special Thanks to Devo Spice for all of his kind words.

2007 was a solid year for the Wicked Clowns. With Mike E. Clark returning to Psychopathic Records, spirits had to be high. The Tempest certainly had people talking, but there was still a little more to explore in that saga. So at the 2007 Gathering Of The Juggalos, ICP gave fans 1 last look at what was created during those Tempest sessions. With a small helping of outtakes, Juggalos were seemingly divided at the new EP, similarly how they felt about The Tempest and the 1st part of this stormy trilogy, The Calm. Do the clowns deliver more carnival goodness in a small package? Does this contain a total sleeper hit that harkens to some earlier Joker Card-era tracks? And does Shaggy 2 Dope have a track that probably shouldn't have been made, but is just too damn catchy to ignore? The answers will be answered here. Be careful, the 2nd wave is coming. This is... We talked about remixes much longer than Schmeev would have liked, and while it was fun to stroll down memory lane, it's time to move on. ICP knew this and were finally ready to drop their next LP in the spring of 2007, their first effort with the return of Mike E. Clark. After 6 years apart from the clowns, could MEC harness the same magic that he and ICP were known to create together? Were ICP continuing with what they started on The Calm or did they decide to do something entirely different? Does this have as much of a "theme" as a Joker Card?
