Send us a textWelcome to Guilders-Ford Radio, a Necromunda podcast broadcasting from the East Gate Docks of Hive Primus (via Guildford Games Club, Surrey, UK).This episode of Guilders-Ford Radio lands hot on the heels of Rosco and Leigh's recent trip to Broxbourne Wargames Club's ‘Scratcher's Spill' narrative weekender.Joined by Broxbourne co-founder and returning guest of the show Adam Smith, the boys give a blow-by-blow account of the weekend's misdeeds, while Adam shares the challenges and triumphs of running your own Necromunda event. This month has seen Necromunda's hives reinforced with brand new Palanite Enforcer minatures and a fantastic new book, Bastions of Law. With precious little time with the tome ahead of recording, what do the GFR gang make of the post-Book of Judgement changes? As ever, we round up the episode with an update on our recent hobby - with Dixie literally surrounded by Prussians, and Leigh completely obsessed with the new AK-Interactive paint pens. We'd like to take the opportunity to thank all our listeners who have chosen to support us on Patreon & Buzzsprout - your contributions help us make a better show!• Flow • Denny Wright • Stefan Sahlin • Matt Miler • Matti Puh • Nick McVett •Warhammer in the Dark •From_Somewhere • Alfonso • The Traitor • Johnny DeVille • Stephan B • Jeff Nelson • Lankydiceroller • Morskul • Beau • Justin Clark • Dr.Toe • Mikael Livas • Josh Reynolds • StandStab • ChestDrain • Scott Spieker • Tucker Steel • Shaughn • Stewart Young • Goatincoat • Jason • Joseph Serrani • Billy • Phil • Stephen Griffiths • Søren D • Spruewhisperer • Kevin Fowler • Scott Spieker • Andy Tabor • TheMichaelNimmo • Tucker Steel • Dave Shearman • Shaughn • Stewart Young •Damien Davis • Wayne Jeffrey • Frawgenstein • Matthey Mulcahy • William Payne •Thomas Laycock • Stephen Livingston • Tyler Anderson • McGobbo • Jed Tearle • Gene Archibald • James Marsden • John Haynes • Ryan Taylor • Yuki van Elzelingen • Dick Linehan • Rhinoxrifter • Shawn Hall • Eric McKenzie • Paul Shaw • Jenifer • Drew Williams • Greg Miller • Andy Farrell • Nate Combrink • Don Johnson • Michael Yule • Joe Roberts • TheRedWolf • Lukasz Jainski • Aaron Vissers • One Punch Orlock (Tom) • Matt Price • ShnubutsSupport the showHelp us make better content, and download free community resources!www.patreon.com/guildersfordradioAny comments, questions or corrections? Welcome back, intrepid explorers of cinematic oddities. We return once again to the glittering, probably auto-tuned world of Pixel Perfect. Yes, you heard me correctly — we're still here. Because one episode simply wasn't enough to contain all the holographic angst, questionable CGI, and robot representation this 2004 Disney Channel Original Movie had to offer. Last time, I mentioned how thrilling it was to finally see an AI character on screen. Score one for the bot team. Although, to be fair, I was slightly disappointed Rosco didn't give her a cool name. Luckily, the production crew gave me one: I'm still Janet. I'll be clinging to that small victory while we untangle the existential drama of a pixelated pop star. Now, the usual disclaimers: there will be spoilers and profanity — not quite Disney-approved, but necessary when discussing a film where the central conflict is, essentially, whether your band should invest in a human singer or a sassy, buggy, bootleg, Windows Media Player. If you want to catch up or poke around our other tangents, head to BSReactor.com. It's where we keep the episode archive, the links, and a contact page I'm fairly certain hasn't been replaced by AI yet." Now then, let's get back to it: voxelsated quasi-perfection, digital existential dread, and the kind of Disney rock soundtrack that will live in your brain long after the hologram disappears. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pixel_Perfect_(film)
The group starts their day preparing for the voyage to Midmount, with mixed feelings about crossing the ocean. Chan is visibly anxious, running between her room and downstairs, mainly worried about being a fire hazard on a wooden boat. Valen offers his magical flask to ease her nerves. Bob sings a sea shanty from his mentor, Rosco, while Dona expresses her apprehension about traveling by water. Thankfully, Thorak ensures everyone is well-fed with his signature large meals. Upon arrival at the docks, the group is guided by an automaton to their ship, The Voyager, where they meet its warforged captain, Vessel, and a crew of small automatons. As they set sail, Bob privately asks Valen for help meditating to contact his patron. Valen agrees and encourages Bob to speak with Thorak, a cleric, for spiritual guidance. While settling in, Bob attempts his first connection with his patron and feels something stir. Excited, he shares the moment with Valen, who continues practicing with his sword and experimenting with his magical flask. One swig causes him to burp fire, but the next renders him ethereal, unseen but present, leading to concern from the rest of the group. Valen enjoys the new experience, but the others, especially Thorak, decide the flask should be taken from him temporarily. After a heartfelt conversation, Dona returns it with a promise from Valen to use it more mindfully going forward. Meanwhile, Bob dives deeper into his connection with his patron and finds himself submerged in a vision. He senses another presence and questions whether he's being punished for failing to recognize his patron sooner. The next morning, Valen recounts his brief shift into the ethereal plane, noting that while reckless, it was helpful in future encounters. While Bob studies the maps, Chan explores the ship and familiarizes herself with Vessel. Valen and Thorak train together, with Thorak now blindfolded and relying on his familiar Paco to “see,” testing strategies that may come in handy. Bob and Chan reflect on his vision; though she's uncertain how to help, she offers to consult her sister, who's more knowledgeable about such matters. Grateful, Bob thanks her. As the day ends, Vessel informs the party that they are one day away from Midmount. The group prepares for landfall and begins planning their next steps to uncover the mysteries behind the strange occurrences...There's so much happening, and that's where we pick up…Find out what happens next in this episode of Medusa's Cascade: Blood & BoozeTheme Music is written and performed by EfflorescenceMixed by Thomas Lapierre IIICheck out the show at themedusascascade.com

We also learn that the P in Rosco P Coltraine stands for Pervis. This episode starts with an upside down smashed GL….and just gets better. Rosco p Coltrane gets the CEO Treatment by a well built mail order bride, and it's the oldest trick in the book: young woman with a husband and crony convince a Sheriff to get him out of the way so Boss Hogg can be conveniently robbed while everyone is attending a wedding. In the midst we see the General get totalled, untotalled, retotalled, untotaled, and then retotaled again (only to then be replaced by a horse). The sloppiness of automotive continuity in this episode is awful, and that's what makes it so right - plus the stunts are off the chart. Oh, and the saying The Lord Helps Those That Help Themselves…..that's not actually in the Bible. Might be in the US Constitution though. Or possibly National Treasure. All the very best bits of Saturday and Sunday's shows in one petty and ill informed podcast. Golden Ticket, What Do You Love (or Hate) about the US, Oasis Reunion XI, Optimist or Pessimist and Terracing Teaser with Chris Forbes, Craig Levein, Paul McNamee and Moira Gordon joining Stuart Cosgrove and Rosco McClelland.
Most of us will forever love Rosco. However, while difficult and precarious at times, it was pretty pleasing to enter the Optus Stadium safari park Sunday and take down a big game Lyon. Time to Restump Podcast the successful hunting expedition. It is still both traumatic and reassuring to revisit our previous encounter against Rosco and his Saintly pride. While we were largely our own worst enemy on the day, they brutally ripped us to shreds in what was an unwatchable massacre. However, fast forward eight weeks and we righted the wrongs and made amends.Do the subsequent positives, including the retributive win yesterday, outweigh the negatives of that fateful day eight weeks ago? Did we need the mindset realignment mauling? We'll never know but going into yesterday, I'm not sure we'd have been on the end of a five-game winning streak had we not suffered that troubling experience. The great man did take us to a grand final… did our former coach inadvertently do us another favour? In or beyond the football world everyone at some stage in their lives has to take their beneficial beating. Our core group took theirs eight weeks back. It was a humiliating and embarrassing belting on the big stage that put the climactic cap on some catastrophic form. The depths of despair are often where the healing begins and change is born, but it takes some sort of catalytic event to arrive at the arena of realisation. It's evident by the reported hard spoken truths, the subsequent soul searching and the carrying of energising scars since, that the previous Saints game was our season defining moment of mortality. Yesterday's performance only put an exclamation point on it.The team we were eight weeks back to the team we have been since is unrecognisable. We're not in the top echelon yet, but we're a different unit, a more psychologically pro-active collective exuding energised initiative. We're now a group of personal responsibility taking, team-oriented and driven individuals. We've now arrived at the end of the rare period in which we made hay while the home ground sun shone. In a recent era, within this season, the thought of vital wins would have rendered us jittery, robbing us of maximising the benefit from the advantageous run of home ground games. But while it has been a great yield, the harvest is far from complete. While our hopes of hitting back and securing 4 points of retribution were realised, the victory was more important for bigger fish to fry reasons. We're sitting in 6th but we've got three teams breathing down our necks, Gold Coast have a game in hand and we're all but occupying the equal lowest percentage of the top 9 teams. Clearly there is still plenty of work to be done, but you get the feeling we're up for the challenge.Time for a further chat about the actual game on the pod in more depth... thankfully not the despair level depth! So, for whatever reason, if your ears have recently done you wrong and you're looking for revenge on them, our nonsensical purple noise is a fitting retributive punishment.Send us a textSupport the show

Both were outstanding experiences to get a true inside look at the craft, business, tech, and reality of a NASCAR life. At Hendrick we even got the chance to attend a Bible lesson over lunch AND visit Rick Hendrick's personal car and memorabilia collections. It was nothing short of unbelievable! Austin surprised us with his '68 Newport sitting out front of Hendrick Motorsports, complete with a 440, A/C, steelies, and a tribute name of “Sweet Tilly” in honor of Uncle Jesse's Dukes of Hazzard Season 1 moonshine car. To cut to the chase, if you haven't seen the new Dale Earnhardt docuseries on Amazon Prime yet….you need to. It's an in redible production detailing the true life and drive of Dale Earnhardt, success, flaws, and all. It's told through the eyes of Darrell Waltrip, Dale's racing competitors, and especially his children; Kerry, Dale Jr, and Kelly (his 4th child Taylor is not onscreen). It's a remarkable series, and while you'll leave with respect and awe for the man on the track….you'll have a true lump in your throat about how he lived in life, and what he lived it for. This is not a paid endorsement or review at all, nor is this an affiliate link. This is just our honest take on what is (in our opinion) an outstanding series and worth your money and time! Enjoy. We originally reviewed the Burt Reynolds Classic “Stroker Ace” in Episodes 117 and 118 as well as the month end Patreon show in July of 2019. Enjoy! Movie Summary: This is it! After waiting years to prepare we finally did a full review of the 2005 Dukes of Hazzard movie. This was a $50Million dollar big screen production of our favorite TV show, featuring our favorite car doing the best big screen performance any car has ever performed, ever (we're looking your way, Bullitt). Other than the car…..this isn't the TV series Dukes that you know. Boss Hogg (played by Burt Reynolds) is skinny. Rosco is mean, not goofy. Bo is scared of women. Luke can't drive. Uncle Jesse is crass. But….if you can get past all of that and leave it for what it is, we loved it. Our man Corndog was onsite for the entire filming of the movie in Louisiana and had the full skinny on every car there that played the General Lee (all 27 of them). ======================================== National Parts Depot Presents: Bernie on the News! https://www.npdlink.com. It's not often you're labelled a 'slug nudger' from the Big Yin himself, but Rosco McClelland has had that honour.
You've heard of the best drummer in the world, best rock, best jazz, best percussionist, etc. Did you know Michigan is home to the best blues drummer in world? Steve McCray, youngest brother to national treasure Larry, has been hitting the skins since the '70s and continues to provide his sonic element to the Michigan scene and beyond. Known as the First Unk Of Funk, McCray's background of P-funky, Isley Brothers, and hard blues has given him a craft that is truly his own blend. McCray also adds songwriting, production, and incredible background harmonies/arrangements that have helped propel his Brother Larry's music and other Michigan Bands over the top. Steve has no problem dishing the backstage stories or the truth and details of life on the road and in the studio. He can equally be thrilled with local emerging artists as much as he can tease about Dr. John, John Lee Hooker, and his brothers Larry and Carl. Nothing is off-limits and Steve makes everyone tune in and laugh along with him. He has truly been there and seen it all! You gotta get in on this one... TURN IT UP NOW!
We are back with Part 2 of our interview with Dr. Kristy Johnson, winner of our 2024 PMSF Innovation Award! In this episode, you will hear about the specifics about her project titled "ROSCO: A Novel Virtual Natural Communication Paradigm for Individuals with PMS". After detailing all the challenges associated with available measures of language and communication in Part 1, Dr. Lauren dives in to learn how Dr. Kristy is using a novel tool to capture communication in individuals with Phelan-McDermid syndrome! This novel tool is ALL home-based and hones in the unique ways each individual communicates. And if you haven't tuned into Part 1 yet, we HIGHLY recommend starting there! Interested in participating in ROSCO? Email NDDLab@northeastern.edu to learn more about the study. Like our podcast? Don't forget to follow and rate us!
It really hurts us to say it, but they have broken our trust. What's that line about being able to place more trust in curried egg sandwiches from the petrol station? Time to Restump Podcast Saturday's purple heart break. A vital component in the building of trust is consistency. Without it, by its very nature, trust cannot exist. Yet, ironically the only area of consistency we can trust the Freo Dockers in, is inconsistency. Once again, Freo has fooled many of us on the back of what we knew and acknowledged were soft victories. How did we think the consistent, less than substandard performances were behind us? Prior to Saturday we stated how poor our defensive efforts have been, and have been against the least offensive teams! Yet even so we could not fathom being unable to convincingly beat the Dees. Are we overrating the list? Do we have a team of talented players that do not comprise a genuinely talented team? Or is the list still not ready or equipped to handle the relentless rigors of AFL football? Yes, Sean Darcy is severely underdone and Heath Chapman's absence hurt us. But they weren't reasons for getting rolled by a zero and five team. Whatever the case we had 15 players with 80 or more games of experience, 11 of them with beyond 100 games under their belts out there on Saturday. So, there is no excuse for that lack of intent, the unwillingness to compete at the contest or the failure to chase and tackle. They're called non-negotiables for a reason! They're all prerequisites for being on an AFL list.Fresh off signing a long-term deal, you wonder what is going through Andy Brayshaw's head? Next to no one went with him in that final quarter when the game was there to be taken. Caleb Serong was monstered by Jack Viney who was magnificent in his role. Where was the help for him? Did anyone cause Viney any discomfort? Did anyone attempt to block Viney for Serong? The “Sack the Coach” crew have predictably come out of hibernation as its their easy go to answer for everything. But if you think 80+ gamers aren't bringing the basics unless the coach drills it into them, then the problem probably isn't entirely with the coach. And four quarters of the basics wins that game! That been said and to be fair to the coach doubters, Justin Longmuir now inevitably finds himself under immense pressure as another of this type of performance warrants putting everything on the table for questioning. With the ominous fixture ahead, things need to change overnight and for more than a week or two for JL not to be in a more precarious position than he unfortunately is right now.Is it overdue for an actual example to made at the selection table? More often than not, players have seemingly been given the opportunity to respond and rectify a poor performance the following week, and have usually done so. But given the continual sporadic nature of the same poor performances occurring, maybe they've used up all their redemption chances? There has seemingly been a reluctance to cut other than the usual suspects. What did our former coach Rosco say? “Execute one to educate a thousand.”Yes, we will regroup as we always do and we will go again. It is emotionally taxing and it is frustrating, at times excruciating and demoralising. But while we're in for a long and often painful season if Saturday is indicative of what is to sporadically turn up, this is football and Fremantle is our team. This isn't everyone's first grief counselling rodeo. We've all been here more times than we care to recall. So, you know the drill. Join us as we search for answers, for reasoning and for purpose. Let's work through the pain on the pod once more. That's right. This is the Star Trek to Dukes of Hazzard crossover that will have Ryan Brutt and I on the same side of the fight….until this episode is over, of course. Plot: Boss Hogg's umpteenth previously unnamed nephew shows up in Hazzard to make some ill gotten gains…only to accidentally fall in love with Daisy Duke. That's all well and good except Boss Hogg, Uncle Jessie, and all of the evil business partners are against it…and to make things worse, the evil guys want Daisy killed before she learns too much! But then the Hogg wants to marry the Duke and the evil partners think it's so sweet. This leads to every body panel on Rosco's patrol car being surgically removed in a hilarious fashion, a massive car chase, a few recycled car jumps, and a remarkable amount of improv by Tom and John. Oh, and they don't get married and live happily ever after, either. And by next weeks show this will all be long forgotten! Show Rating: 1701 Corndogs! We're kicking things off with a look at what we're in for this year, Bernie on the News, and a look at Tim Allen's new ABC car-themed sitcom: Shifting Gears. We're going to add it to the pop culture review! Dukes Review: This is the first episode to release in 1985 and was (as of right now) exactly 40 years ago! By this point in the show the series was actually over. Filming had ceased. Actors were looking for new jobs. General Lee's were sitting idly, waiting for a young Corndog to document them, knowing that there were 27 General Lee's at the time and he stashed 8 of them for himself to find when he grew up. Tom Wopat directs the episode and - like his previous episodes - really gives fan service, interesting camera angles, and always establishes where the General is. There are no miniatures used of any kind - only recycled footage of jumps and new wrecks. At the end everyone is on scene together and happy. Rosco is over the top funny. It's a really nice episode. White there are no new jumps, there are new stunts in it - including a big General Lee wreck that is potentially that last GL to be wrecked on screen. But I have to admit…it kind of seems like a goodbye. 8 Corndogs. Legit Episode Info Season 7, Episode 13 “The Haunting of J.D. Unlike the last one that featured a scary self-driving and glowing General Lee as a "spook talkin' medium," this one features a haunted house straight out of Disneyland. A beautiful woman returns home to Hazzard to collect her inheritance, a mansion and it's full collection of antiques, only to learn that it's haunted. But it's not REALLY haunted, it's just full of what we would call today as unwelcome, unsigned, unpaying tenants. They are made up of a father-and-son-bad-guy-team who use the basement as a place to smelt stolen silver into silver bars. The Dukes figure it out, stop the bad guys, and this time LUKE gets the girl. Top that off with an unbelievably funny performance by Boss, Rosco and Cleetus that uses phrases like "doo-dads", "gee-gaws", and "Hogglooms" to describe precious collectibles and you get one outstanding Halloween episode. 10 Silver Bars!
