You may know Scott Nygaard from his career as a guitarist in the bluegrass and acoustic scene for more than 30 years, his work as former editor and writer with Acoustic Guitar Magazine, or as one of the co-founders of Peghead Nation. You may not know his novel Evergreen, based on his transformative first year at Evergreen College in 1973. I love a coming of age story, and this is very much a tale musical growth and about the loss of innocence during a time of societal changes . We also explore Scott's most recent album, Flown South which was recorded after a serious accident, when Scott had to relearn to play guitar.You'll also be hearing music from his wonderful album Rosco with the Swedish guitarist Roger Tallroth, best known as a founding member of Väsen. Nel Consiglio dei ministri di oggi il Governo esamina un decreto legge su Pnrr e politiche di coesione per accelerare la spesa dei fondi europei. Al centro del confronto c'è il possibile stop alla nascita di "Asset ferroviari italiani", la nuova società pubblica (Rosco) pensata per separare la proprietà del materiale rotabile dalla gestione dei servizi ferroviari. La Rosco, finanziata con 1,2 miliardi del Pnrr, era una riforma chiave per aumentare la concorrenza nel trasporto ferroviario regionale e Intercity e aveva ottenuto il via libera della Commissione Ue. Nelle ultime bozze del decreto, però, la norma istitutiva è stata eliminata, mentre resta la messa a gara dei servizi Intercity. Se l'addio alla Rosco fosse confermato, l'Italia rischierebbe di dover rinegoziare il Piano con Bruxelles o di perdere i 1,2 miliardi, a pochi mesi dalla scadenza del 30 giugno per il completamento delle milestone Pnrr. Il saldo commerciale con Washington resta positivo ma si riduce sensibilmente. CEO Alberto Rosco outlined an ambitious exploration program backed by a recent $29 million financing that will fund 60,000 meters of drilling across what the company now recognizes as a complete mineral system rather than a simple silver trend.The strategic shift came through property consolidation that expanded the project from 7 kilometers to 20 kilometers of vein targets. Through systematic mapping and sampling, the geological team identified that high-grade silver mineralization sits near the contact between an intrusive body and sedimentary rocks, with this controlling structure extending westward and northward in a circular pattern. The company also eliminated a significant royalty and increased gold resources at the adjacent Capitan Hill deposit by 115% to 525,000 ounces.Rosco emphasized that Cruz de Plata's outcropping nature provides substantial cost advantages throughout exploration and potential development. Most previous drilling remained in the top 150 meters, with the 2026 program designed to extend testing to 150-300 meters depth on the advanced Jesus Maria trend while using reverse circulation rigs for rapid, cost-effective testing of new targets to the west, north, and within the intrusive itself.Management remains focused on building an operating mine rather than pursuing early monetization, drawing on the team's experience developing and operating projects in Mexico through their previous work at Argonaut Gold. "We're developing this for the long haul. The group starts their day preparing for the voyage to Midmount, with mixed feelings about crossing the ocean. Chan is visibly anxious, running between her room and downstairs, mainly worried about being a fire hazard on a wooden boat. Valen offers his magical flask to ease her nerves. Bob sings a sea shanty from his mentor, Rosco, while Dona expresses her apprehension about traveling by water. Thankfully, Thorak ensures everyone is well-fed with his signature large meals. Upon arrival at the docks, the group is guided by an automaton to their ship, The Voyager, where they meet its warforged captain, Vessel, and a crew of small automatons. As they set sail, Bob privately asks Valen for help meditating to contact his patron. Valen agrees and encourages Bob to speak with Thorak, a cleric, for spiritual guidance.While settling in, Bob attempts his first connection with his patron and feels something stir. Excited, he shares the moment with Valen, who continues practicing with his sword and experimenting with his magical flask. One swig causes him to burp fire, but the next renders him ethereal, unseen but present, leading to concern from the rest of the group. Valen enjoys the new experience, but the others, especially Thorak, decide the flask should be taken from him temporarily. After a heartfelt conversation, Dona returns it with a promise from Valen to use it more mindfully going forward. Meanwhile, Bob dives deeper into his connection with his patron and finds himself submerged in a vision. He senses another presence and questions whether he's being punished for failing to recognize his patron sooner.The next morning, Valen recounts his brief shift into the ethereal plane, noting that while reckless, it was helpful in future encounters. While Bob studies the maps, Chan explores the ship and familiarizes herself with Vessel. Valen and Thorak train together, with Thorak now blindfolded and relying on his familiar Paco to “see,” testing strategies that may come in handy. Bob and Chan reflect on his vision; though she's uncertain how to help, she offers to consult her sister, who's more knowledgeable about such matters. Grateful, Bob thanks her. As the day ends, Vessel informs the party that they are one day away from Midmount.
