This podcast covers New Girl Season 4, Episode 14, Swuit, which originally aired on February 3, 2015 and was written by Noah Garfinkel and directed by Trent O'Donnell. Here's a quick recap of the episode:Nick and Schmidt have brought their old company, Schnick Industries, to life and are trying to sell a new product. Meanwhile, Coach and Winston help Cece pay for college. This episode got a 9/10 rating from both Kritika and Kelly; Kritika's favorite character was Schnick Industries and Kelly's favorite was Jess. While not discussed in the podcast, we noted other references in this episode including:Lori Greiner - Nick and Schmidt had a pitch meeting with Lori Greiner. We also featured her as the guest star in this episode. Hewlett Packard - While bickering, Schmidt said, “You think Hewlett had to put up with this crap from Packard? Think Again.” Howard Hughes / Spruce Goose - Schmidt told Nick he can't be “loosey-goosey”, which prompted Nick to say that Howard Hughes invented the Loose-Goose. However, Schmidt corrected that the plane was called the “Spruce-Goose”. But Nick did know that the plane did fly “for over a mile at an altitude of 72 feet!” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Kai wanted to have “Ninja Turtle sex” with backpacks on with Nick. David Hockney - While discussing Cece's classes at school, Winston and Coach asked “What you gonna do, Cece, join the South African space program and be the first woman to put a David Hockney painting on the moon?” Batman and Robin - By the end of the episode, Nick and Schmidt felt like they were “Batman and Robin”, but both wanted to be Batman. Potentially the most action packed episode yet, Joe Mande and Noah Garfinkel are two of the funniest writers working, or rather, not working (because of the WGA strike). There's never been more numerous, or intense left turns than in today's episode. Figurative, literal, paranormal... the pivots are frankly shocking. And it's all done so effortlessly, until violence breaks out in the Fartvan. Listen, learn, and turn left. Support writers and support the strike, it affects all of us!

Today on A Waste of Time with ItsTheReal, Day 9 of the #12DaysOfPodcasts, we welcome the host of the user-successful and addicting smartphone quiz game HQ Trivia, Scott Rogowsky to the Upper West Side! Scott shares stories growing up in Eric and Jeff's hometown of Harrison, NY, collecting baseball cards, playing Little League, finding suburban mischief, getting by in private school in NYC, and eventually winning the student body presidency. Scott talks about approaching stand-up comedy at straight-laced Johns Hopkins University, bodying his first set in front of students, tanking his follow-up at a coffee bar in town, and his mindset in rebounding. We discuss moving to Brooklyn, meeting his comedic heroes Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Joe Mande, Noah Garfinkel and more, performing around NYC, and figuring out that while being in front of audiences was what he wanted, standing up wasn't the move. Scott gets into his live talk shows ("12 Angry Mascots" and "Running Late with Scott Rogowsky"), his time on network television, his viral videos and pictures ("Fake Book Covers on the Subway"), and when he was feeling he was done with NYC and ready to move to Los Angeles, how HQ Trivia came into his life and became an absolute whirlwind. Happy New Year! This week's episode of HWYW is smart, fun and sexually attractive.
