The first two attempts clearly failed. Developed and published by Robot Entertainment, this fourth(!) entry in the action-tower defense franchise was randomly selected by the Xbox Game Pass "Surprise Me" button. Following their standard procedure, Tom and Chris must spend an hour behind the controls and then decide if they will continue playing afterwards. With Chris on the PC and Tom on the Xbox Series S, how divergent will their experiences be due to the genre? Will slaying countless hordes of orcs prove entertaining or exhausting? Will the multitude of levels and game modes provide enough variety to keep them both playing after the hour is up? Find out on this episode of 1H1D! What do you think? Let us know! This morning Epic announced that Robot Entertainment's upcoming co-op dungeon crawler ReadySet Heroes, initially announced for PlayStation 4, is now available for pre-order on the Epic Games Store. This is a big deal because it seems to be the first Sony-published game to debut on the storefront, lending weight to Sony Interactive Entertainment frontman Shawn Layden's recent suggestion that some Sony games may go multi-platform in an effort to build a bigger install base. #gaminglife #like #apexlegends #gamingmemes #anime #nintendoswitch #fortnitememes #pcgamer #retrogaming #gameplay #battleroyale #pro #destiny #art #bhfyp #blackops #fortniteclips #callofduty #twitchstreamer #geek #youtuber #lol #rdr #gamingcommunity #minecraft #overwatch #sony #fun #instagram #online --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/pixel-sultan/support

Welcome to Game on Girl! Nananea returns in the first episode of season 2 of my original podcast. For this episode, we chat with Nananea about what she's been up to in the five years since we originally had her on the show. She shares her experiences as a community manager for Robot Entertainment and her story about working her way into the game industry. We also talk in-depth about a pretty significant personal announcement she made a few months ago. She shares her experience with us and describes the joy of knowing she has a truly supportive community around her. I must admit, it was a very moving discussion. Check out her Patreon and subscribe to her Twitch and YouTube channels. The Gamer Types In the second segment of the show, I talk with the content manager for The Geek Embassy, Isabela. In bringing back Game on Girl, I realized just how long it has been since I talked about the Gamer Types from my dissertation. I grill Izzie (nicely!) about what she remembers about the types and introduce a NEW gamer type that I am adding to the mix. Keep an eye out for an article detailing each Gamer Type and my modifications soon. To Discuss What is your biggest motivation for gaming? To escape? To connect? Let us know in the comments! Jon & Justin aka Sixokay & Weezul stopped by MTR to discuss their podcast 15 Minutes of Game. 15MOG is one of the most unique podcasts I've heard in a long time. Jon and Justin bring a level of friendliness to their presentation that not only educates but motivates listeners to find their niche in a vast community and grow their audience and brand. They go very deep into the realm of presentation and the nuances of first impressions to get ahead in the community management space. Along with community we had a lengthy discussion on comics that for me was quite enjoyable because it is not too often that we talk comics on air.Justin is currently working with Robot Entertainment for their soon to be released title Orcs Must Die which you can pick up on XBLA on 10/5 and on PSN on 10/12. I had a serious problem with Episode 80. The conversation I had with Robot Entertainment Community Manager Justin Korthof was too much fun. It could have lasted for two hours. Quite frankly, I'm considering breaking my no-repeat-guest rule to get him back on my show. But enough about the future, let's get to the present. Episode 80 is about all facets of community management. From video games to major motion pictures. From Geocities to Twitter followers and Facebook 'Likes'. There's also a heavy dose of comic talk including but not limited to culture, entreprenuership, movies, and walking down Sunset Boulevard with Bryan Singer. Please excuse me as I pick up that name I just dropped. And please excuse the static that occasionally pops in this one, I had a few issues in the editing booth. If you'd like to keep up with Justin, Robot Entertainment or the CM List, pay attention to the bullet list below: @SixOkay @RobotEnt @theCMList Finally, if you stuck around through the outro, this post about Inception will be of great value to you.
