Continuing with our series called "The Servant King," (A Study of the Gospel of Mark).... In today's teaching, Pastor Ben leads us into understanding what faith looks like in the walk of a believer and the lack of belief in a person. For faith is the substance of things unseen with the hope for the things to come. The example of the bleeding woman in previous message explained by Pastor Ben shows us the beauty of faith for the believer. Why would this be significant to us and the world? What are the consequence of rejecting the gospel message? How does this effect us in our daily walk with Christ and other believers? reference scripture: John 3:36, If you are interested in attending our LIVE teachings (Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm & Sundays @ 10:00 am), you are invited to visit us at 4218 Boston Ave. Lubbock, Texas. There should still be an amazement with grace because grace is still amazing. A comfort zone is the most dangerous place a Christian can be. Always maintain the breathless wonder of Jesus.

Fatih is essential to the Christian life. We began our walk by faith, we continue by faith and we finish well by faith. In this message, Pastor Brad Weir shares about the experience Jesus had with those from his home town limiting their experience of God's power by their unbelief. Jesus was there to help, heal and teach them the way God's Kingdom and their unbelief hindered God's activity among them. And at this, Jesus marveled. We also see Jesus in the gospels marvel at the faith of a Centurion solider (Luke 7:9). Without faith one cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6), yet with it one can live a life that is well pleasing to Him. Faith matters.

Pastor Marc Sharp continues with Part 17 of the current series that is an epic journey through the New Testament Gospel of Mark, verse by verse. The book of Mark was most likely the first one written, and is generally attributed to John Mark, a close associate of Peter, and also of Paul and Barnabas. The Gospel of Mark is all about Jesus and the good news (Gospel) of the kingdom of God. Who was Jesus really, and why exactly did he come? In the last several weeks we have heard how Jesus proved his divine nature and his authority over sickness and death, learning about his redemptive work. In today's message, Jesus visits the Synagogue in Nazareth, and the people react to him with astonishment, offense, and unbelief. Why? Today's message by Elder candidate Paul Landers is a very relevant insight from the great Gospel of Mark book in the New Testament. Jesus performed a lot of miracles and taught the people with authority. Why did some of the people gladly receive what he said and believed who he was, while others just could not accept him or his word? We have the same issues in our world today. Jesus returns to his hometown of Nazareth. This is his second trip back home, and like his first (Luke 4), he is rejected by the people of Nazareth that he spent the first 30 years of his life. In their rejection of Jesus, we hear a warning for us, to not allow familiarity with Jesus lead us unbelief in Jesus. Listen as we study Mark 6:1-6

Unbelief takes offense at the seeming ordinariness and familiarity of Jesus. Unbelief doesn't look for reasons to believe, but is comfortable in its own hardened prejudice. But prejudice against Jesus, is like shooting oneself in the foot; for if one rejects Jesus where else does one turn?
