From an early age, Lolu has had influence and relationship with the House. His beginnings in electronic music were around the age of 17 when he decided to make hobby his profession. Lolu Menayed is currently a DJ, producer and owner of the DIGHOP RECORDS Vinyl label. She has left her mark on the best clubs. With great distinction for his character and musical personality, he has managed to occupy an important place in the electronic scene, where his productions on labels such as Oblack, Smiley Fingers and his most stand out recent digital project called PHILU. DJ/producer Gunnar Stiller has seen Berlin transform considerably over the last couple of decades, soaking in influence as well as helping shape its development as a musical force, becoming a fixture of the city's scene along the way. Whether playing in clubs around the world such as Panorama Bar and Watergate in Berlin, Hive Club Zurich, Baum in Bogotá and Glow Bangkok or producing his own tracks for respected labels like Upon.You Records, Smiley Fingers, Voltage Musique and Ballroom Records, Stiller's technique is deep in character, an outward-reaching combination of techno and techhouse with his trademark funk-tinged basslines. In 2003 while working as manager for Berlin-based event agency No Ufos, Gunnar found himself in the heart of a perfect playground to gain insight and develop his own style, which at the time was focused on deep house, breaks and electro. Inspired by those around him such as Steve Bug, Matthias Tanzmann and Martin Landsky, Stiller quickly began to carve out his own sound that impressed not just the dancers filling the floor but also any promoter and organizer who was paying attention. Pushing himself toward further success, he founded the artist alliance Edelmut in 2004 along with a few of his friends, an endeavor which quickly gained them notoriety as they played in the city's top clubs like Watergate, Bar25 and later the infamous KaterHolzig , the latter of which invited Gunnar to become a resident DJ, a position he gladly accepted. On top of this, he became a regular player at the legendary HomeSweetHome sessions. His debut release, the Heideberg EP, and its followup the Manaus Madness EP – both on Voltage Musique – landed directly within the Top 5 German club charts, and Marek Hemmann's remix of “Manaus Madness” was voted the #10 best remix by dance music authority Groove Magazine's 2010 readers' poll. It was around this time that Gunnar joined Upon.You Records as part of their label and booking roster, releasing a lot more EPs and contributing to the acclaimed label compilation Upon.You Diary, which was compiled by himself in 2014. These where followed by collaborations and remix projects with artists like Solomun, AndHim, Layo & Bushwacka!, Alex Niggemann, Danny Serrano, Ray Okpara, Nikola Gala, Larry Cadge, Odd People, Samuel Dan, Nakadia, Dj Le Roi or Loko and more released tracks on labels like Clap Your Hands, Smiley Fingers and Time Has Changed. In the last few years, he has been booked to play at top festivals such as Sonar Festival, Amsterdam Dance Event, Melt! Crimsen is about the groove. His basslines are undeniable. His productions are full, lively and sexy. He’s a producer that knows the studio and knows the dance floor – the guy knows what works. His production career started in the refined world of chill-step under the influence o  Phaeleh. After taking cues from producers like Nathan Barato, Jamie Jones and Manuel de la Mare, Crimsen’s upcoming musical output in 2018 grows out of tech-house into new worlds. He plans more ‘song’ focused arrangements and is currently experimenting with the introduction of other genres into his electronic music work. “I’m just looking to pack more excitement into the tracks”.Crimsen approaches his DJ sets with the mindset and disposition of a producer. His energy is embodied in his full control of the sound pouring forth from the speakers as he works loops and sound effects into the sets. Playful samples and memes from current events make appearances when he takes the controls in the booth, adding an element of edge to the Crimsen club vibe. Born in India, raised in Qatar and Kuwait, Crimsen now calls Toronto home. He has conducted the dance floors of CODA, One Loft, Electric Island and Circus in Montreal. His records under his former artist alias “FunkXRish” have been released by Smiley Fingers, Chapeau Music and Claps Records. And so from these wide influences, for Crimsen it always comes back to the groove. With his latest remix release on 8Bit Records, this groove has now also led him to the well known tech house label by Nick Curly and Gorge. And that’s music to everyone’s ears.

How did these tracks influence your later career? A: It´s really hard to pick out some special tracks of the past, as there are so many I loved to play in my sets. This is a mix between older tracks, which really shaped my musicial style in the beginning of my DJ career as well as tracks which have an important weight for me. In the second half I also used some of the newer tracks I am playing in the moment. So its nice to see the development of the music I played in the last 12 years. Q: Besides DJing and producing you´re working for Upon.You. What´s your job there? A: I am not really working for Upon You as we were always a big family and it was more the passion for the label which took all of us to where we are today. Q: Which Gunnar Stiller releases are coming soon? A: There is definitely a new ep planned for Upon You as well as for Smiley Fingers. In which way did they influence your later career? A: Every track on this mix had some kind of influence in my sound, whether the drums or basslines, I can´t really specify what it is but each of them touched me in a different way. Q: You have already played in so many parts of the planet. Where is your favorite spot to DJ? A: I really love playing in argentina, the crowd has got a very special energy and really connect with my sets, it feels natural and super vibrant! Q: There is a release on SOSO out in march. Which other Betoko projects can we expect this year? A: Yes, March 24th with an amazing remix by label boss Oliver Schories! There will also be an EP on Einmusika in August, a collab EP with Mason, and a follow up EP on Smiley Fingers.

THE JOURNEY SO FAR The new Aves Volare KDB Mafia Showcase marks the end of an era and the beginning of a new chapter for the upcoming musician. Aves has spent the start of his career in Electronic, Deep and Tech House production in Australia and will now embark on this new chapter on European land. Aves started his production in a duo named 2DotZero combining songwriting, vocals and production skills to impress the likes of KDB Records & Smiley Fingers (both featured in this Podcast) and a few other reputable labels such as Hausity, Manual Music, Soleid and UGENIUS to sign their creations. In order to make these releases come to fruition, they have also collaborated with some very talented producers such as Trockensaft, Zatonsky & HOOPS. In more recent times, Aves has pursued his debut solo year with an impact. He has been working with a talented vocalist ALULA along with producers like Studio Deep & Alexey Lisin. Furthermore he has continued much more work with Trockensaft and Zatonsky to which this EP celebrates their latest release. Alexandra Pride also had a huge role in this successful collaboration. He opened a music group with David Mimram called "Sharp & Smooth" and after small amount of time they started to work along with the biggest icons in EDM industry like: Danny Tenaglia, DJ Chus, Phunk Investiagation, Murk and many more. After 3 years they split and each and one of them turn to a different musical direction. As a solo artist Alex opened a project called "Colorless" and has been working with labels like: Armada, Spinnin, Phonetic Recordings and more. 3 years later under the same name he started to fill that the progressive sound. Not moving anywhere he returned to his first love, a Sexy Deep and Tech sound. He called this project "D33P". These days he is running a sub label of the famous Phonetic Recordings that specialize in Deep House and Techno. These days he runs a club night called "Tika" with a few friends where he is also a resident DJ. He is also the resident DJ for all "New House League" nights.
