Ulsan Hyundai are K League 1 champions again! But at the other end of the table, there are even more relegation worries for the two Suwon teams. In this week's episode of the K League United Podcast, we hear from K League TV commentator Alex Jensen who was on duty for the game that sealed the title for Ulsan. Paul and Andrew recap their visits to the two Suwon games at the weekend and go over their survival chances. Then there's the Futbology Match of the Week, looking ahead to Matchday 4 of the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League.

On top of recaps of all six matches, we have six mixed zone interviews as well including, Ulsan Hyundai's Gustav Ludwigson, FC Seoul's Ki Sung-yueng, Incheon United's Gerso Fernandes and the Daejeon trio of Anton, Leandro and Thiago to round things off. All this and more, on The K League United Podcast!

Not only that, but Ryan and Matthew go over Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors' AFC Champions League exit.
The K League United Podcast enters its fourth week of pre-season training ahead of Season 5, with Matthew Binns hosting from quarantine alongside Paul Neat as the pair of them give their verdicts on the transfer window so far. First, Matthew and Paul look at the headline signings, with Lee Seung-woo's Suwon FC dominating discussion as to his story so far and where he will fit in, not to mention what this move could do for his career and the K League itself. Then, the duo cast their eyes to surprising signings before then looking to the moves they think were intelligent bits of business. Finally, both of them make their decisions on which sides could be considered to be "winning" the window at present. All this and more on this pre-season edition of The K League United Podcast.
K League United Editors Paul Neat and Matthew Binns host this week's K League United Podcast and look to swiftly move on from Korea's disappointing exit at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, giving their brief verdicts on how it eventually transpired for Kim Hak-bum's men. Attention then swiftly returns to K League with interviews from players at two of the K League 1's in-form sides; Incheon United and Suwon FC. Paul speaks with centre-back Harrison Delbridge about adjusting to life in Korea and the encouraging displays from his side this season. Matthew is then joined on the phone by Suwon FC striker and K League 1's leading goalscorer Lars Veldwijk one year from the podcast's last interview with him after joining the side. The striker talks about how life at Suwon has helped him and the threat his side now pose. There's also a mention of THAT result against Ulsan. Finally, there's time for a number of your questions from the Eulji Lewis Mailbag. All this and more on The K League United Podcast.
The original podcasting trio of Ryan Walters, Paul Neat, and Matthew Binns is back to run the rule over a busy weekend of football in Korea. The first segment sees the three discuss a slew of shock upsets in the top flight, chief among them Suwon FC's 5-2 dismantling of the Asian Champs in Ulsan with Lars Veldwijk netting no less than four times and assisting the fifth! As we're so fond of saying, "there ain't no party like a K2 party!" and the second division is living up to the hype with yet another team (Gimcheon Sangmu) claiming first place. The three go over the weekend's results and what they mean for the ever-changing title race. Finally, the third segment has the Korean Men's National Team in the spotlight after an opening day loss to New Zealand and a much improved 4-0 victory over Romania in the follow up match. Ryan, Paul, and Matt discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly of the first two matches and what they hope to see moving forward. Lastly, the Eulji Lewis Mailbag has questions about pet hates in K League (hello VAR!), Spanish players in Korea, and FC Anyang's plans for a new football-specific stadium. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast!
Ryan Walters, Matthew Binns, and Michael Redmond run the rule over the top two divisions as the calendar ticks over to May. In the first segment, the three dive into the wild world of K League 2 where FC Anyang remain at the top and pre-season favourites Gimcheon Sangmu remain outside a playoff position. They also discuss Jeju United's strong return to the top flight and how they're getting results. The second segment sees FC Seoul under the microscope again to assess whether or not this may be their dreaded 2018 season all over again. Paul Neat then joins to chat with Dajeon Hana Citizen midfielder Edinho about his time in Korea and the club's expectations this season. The show rolls on with the third segment looking at Suwon FC's massive overhaul this winter and it's... less than desirable results. Finally, youth players take centre stage not just because of the early U22 substitutions, but also because some youngsters have made a name for themselves quite early on in 2021. Lastly, the Eulji Lewis Mailbag sees questions ranging from roster rules to potential transfers this summer and everything in between. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast!
Ryan Walters, Matthew Binns, and Peter Hampshire welcome columnists from across Korea and the globe to preview all 12 K League 1 teams! Beginning with promoted sides Jeju United and Suwon FC and working their way up the 2020 table, the columnists go over notable moves, key players, young players to watch, the biggest questions for each team, and give a reason to watch. After going over all of the teams in the top flight, the hosts open up the Eulji Lewis Mailbag with questions about potential title challengers, transfer window winners and losers, and a bit about Aussies in Korea. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast!
It's a two man booth as Paul Neat and Ryan Walters go over the early returns in the K League transfer window. It may still early January, but a number of big names have already made their moves, and as Patreon subscribers well know, there are plenty of rumors to mull over as well. The two pick some the headline grabbing official transfers to discuss such as Na Sang-ho to FC Seoul, the exodus at Ulsan, and the smart business being done by Suwon FC and Gangwon FC. They then make up their ideal transfer out of thin air, and unsurprisingly ASEAN players get a mention. All that an more in this EXTRA edition of the K League United Podcast!
Ryan Walters welcomes by Matthew Binns and George Slade to the virtual Kim Do-hoon Bunker to break down the K League 2 playoff matches of the season. They start in Changwon where Gyeongnam FC moved on after a 1-1 draw against Daejeon Hana Citizen with a disputed VAR call taking center stage late in the game. The conversation then shifts North where Suwon FC also benefitted from being the higher seed and was promoted to K League 1... after a contentious late VAR call. After getting most of the VAR whinging out of the way, they do briefly discuss why Suwon went up and whether or not this playoff system is the right one moving forward. The second segment brings reprieve from VAR in the form of AFC Champions League. Ryan, Matt, and George go group by group assessing each K League team's performance thus far. They start with the rollercoaster that has been FC Seoul from their 5-0 dismantling of Chiangrai United to back-to-back losses. Moving on to Group F, they talk about Yoon Bit-garam's meteoric rise on the international stage and the Horangi securing top spot in the group. Group G brings up the Suwon Samsung Bluewings unenviable position of having to beat Vissel Kobe by multiple goals in order to advance. And finally, they discuss the first Korean team eliminated from the contest: Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. Lastly, the three open up a full Eulji Lewis Mailbag with questions ranging from formations to ACL, and back to – you guessed it – VAR. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast.

Ryan Walters is joined by Matthew Binns and Paul Neat for the first time in a long time to discuss an electric opening to Final Rounds A and B in K League 1. With a total of 25 goals and three separate hat tricks, there's plenty to discuss in a look back on Round 23 in the top flight. The three discuss Jeonbuk drawing level on points with Ulsan after a narrow win over Sangju combined with (surprise surprise) Ulsan bottling it at the end against Daegu. The three also take a look ahead to Round 24 and give one thing to watch in each Final Round A match. The second segment shifts focus to Final Round B where no one is safe from the drop as Incheon United continue the greatest of escapes. An emphatic 6-0 victory (their biggest margin in history) over Seongnam lifted Incheon off the bottom of the table and put everyone all the way up to seventh place in doubt of their survival chances. Lastly, the hosts take a look at the two-horse race for the K League title between Jeju United and Suwon FC. With both sides on impressive unbeaten runs, can anyone stop them? Ryan, Matt, and Paul also discuss the playoff picture and what each team needs to do in order to stay on the right side of the dividing line. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast.

Ryan Walters and Matthew Binns are joined by Bucheon 1995 columnist George Slade to take a look back on K League 1 Round 13 and K League 2 Round 12. They each give their main takeaways from a high scoring weekend that saw some lopsided results in K1, and narrow victories in the increasingly tight K2. Matthew sits down with Suwon FC forward and South African international Lars Veldwijk in the second segment to discuss his move from Jeonju to Suwon. The two discuss the trend of players moving directly to Korea from the Eredivisie, the reason he left Jeonbuk, fitting in to a very good Suwon side, and what promotion would mean to his new club. The third segment sees Ryan, Matthew, and George look ahead to the weekend to preview the upcoming matches in both divisions and which games to keep an eye on in particular. A number of teams next to each other in the table square off in K1 and K2, and there's plenty of mention of a certain manager that probably should be on the hot seat right now. Finally, they catch up on previous Eulji Lewis Mailbag questions from weeks past regarding Jeonbuk success and how much José Morais influences it... if at all. They also discuss K2 unsung heroes, new signings, and Choi Yong-soo's longevity as FC Seoul manager. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast.

A week after putting K1 under the microscope, Ryan Walters, Matthew Binns, and Michael Redmond turn their attention to K League 2 after 11 Rounds. They also give a clarification on youth wages. Ryan, and Michael return for the third segment to break down what's gone wrong with the underperforming sides in the second division. All that and more in this edition of the K League United Podcast.
