The BarcaBreakdown discuss, in a turn of events, after two years at FC Barcelona, Antoine Greizmann returned to Atletico Madrid. This comes at the final window of the transfer window on 31 Aug 2021. Barca agreed to release Greizmann on loan for $10 Million and an obligation to buy for $40 Million. We discuss what this means for the team and our initial reactions to this news. Ultimately, Barcelona's financial troubles and disastrous leadership of Bartomeu have plagued the team resulting in some very surprising news. At the end of the day, Laporta has been losing our trust as we question his election promises and where we are today. Greizmann will join the 2019-2020 La Liga Champions with Luis Suarez in an attempt to take the title 2 years in a row. Another Dutchman arrives at FC Barcelona from Sevilla, Luuk De Jong. Barca will cover his wages with an option to buy. This comes when we lose Greizmann and still have a roster of attackers on injury including Augero, Dembele, and not yet to return to live play, Fati. Lastly, we had Ilaix Moriba and Emerson depart and signed to RB Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspurs, respectively. Ilaix has been on his way out and will be leaving for $15 Million. Emerson only being at the club for 2 months comes at a surprise as Laporta had stated “Emerson will stay for many years”. The summer transfer window has come to an end, again leaving Barca and the fans wondering, what will happen next? Please like, comment and subscribe to our channel! Then the guys are joined by global soccer coorespondant, Ben from Indiana to talk the bonkers transfer window with Messi and Ronaldo both on the move and a little Ted Lasso.

Silly season is almost over.  James and Ryan go over the summer window results - while Everton didn't do a ton of business, the deadline day was not without drama.  The duo go through the details of the Moise Kean exit, take a hard look at the squad, the overall FFP implications, and go through some listener comments straight from the discord (with some level of PG censorship).   LINKS: https://linktr.ee/usatoffeepod Production: James Harper Intro: Steve Barkwill Outro: Kenboib
