Yeoooo 3 in the Key Crew is back. They discuss the Knicks acquisition of OG Anunoby - does it make NYK a top tier Eastern Conference contender? At halftime, they switch from the hardwood to the gridiron to discuss the nail-biting College Football Playoffs. Is Michael Penix Jr. the next great? And will they have enough to beat Michigan in the Championship this year?Lastly...what the heck is going on in Detroit? Those guys are fresh off of an 18-game losing streak. Kaim, Jeremiah, and Grant debate how many wins the team will finish the year with.
Merry Christmas Family!Kaim, Jay, and Grant dive into the Suns's Big 3 (or lack thereof). They know a little something about Big Three's. Will the Phoenix superteam stay healthy..and what'll happen if they do?For Halftime, the crew dives into some of their own relationship views regarding the most volatile element ever introduced to relationships…social media. Social media is a big piece of our culture, well should it be a part of our relationships? How much is too much? (Stick around for the crew dipping their toes into the Anthony Edwards infamous text messages.)Lastly, the Clippers are heating up…They were reeling in the wake of the James Harden acquisition. But…they've turned it around. Eight game winning streak and top-six in the West - what's their ceiling from here? We love ya'll! And remember - everything is hoops.https://linktr.ee/threeinthekey Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@3InTheKeyFollow on Spotify: https://shorturl.at/ACNX2Follow on Amazon Music/Audible: https://shorturl.at/lyAOVFollow on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/3-in-the-key/id17162656203 in the Key Website: https://3inthekey.buzzsprout.com/
Anddddddd we're back!Today the crew discusses the In-Season Tournament fall-out after the Lakers resounding (123-109) victory over the Pacers. They discuss Tyrese Haliburton's ascension into the spotlight and what this victory means for LeBron James. Is he the GOAT?Ja Morant is slated to come back Dec. 19! The crew discusses whether that return will be enough to turn the Grizzlies poor start (6-16) around. The question still remains though, can Ja avoid brandishing the firearm on social media? Or is it ingrained into his personality?Bonus: What the hell is wrong with Draymond Green?Lastly, The Minnesota Timberwolves (1), the Oklahoma City Thunder (2), and the Orlando Magic (2) are atop the NBA Standings for what feels like the first time in forever. Why aren't players like Ant, Paolo, and SGA MVP front-runners? How are these young teams taking the league over (spoiler: lockdown defense)? And will this continue into the playoffs. The crew discusses and even wonders if SGA is better than LeBron James at this point in their careers. We love ya'll! The 3 in the Key crew is back!In the first half, we discuss the NBA's polarizing officiating this season. Another chapter in the CP3-Scott Foster beef was written in the past week and the crew discusses. The NBA world groaned as the Lakers advanced to the semifinals of the NBA In-Season Tournament after being granted a questionable timeout in the final minutes. Lastly, stars (and coaches) seem to be getting thrown out at an alarming rate this year - is this a fixable issue? Or are the players bringing it upon themselves? At halftime, we dive into Josh Giddey and his alleged improper relationship with a minor. He is currently under investigation by the Newport Beach Police Department and the NBA. The crew does the best they can to get to the bottom of the situation with the facts available. They discuss locker room dynamics, on-court track talk, and the potential consequences if the allegations are confirmed by authorities. In the 2nd half, we analyze the NBA's In-Season Tournament (IST) so far this year. There are four teams remaining. Who will come out on top? The crew attempts to answer their question without letting fanhood cloud their judgment. Tyrese Halliburton has seemed to take the leap to superstar and LeBron James seems more motivated than he has in years. Giannis and the Bucks are finding their groove after a slow start and the Pelicans have their top 3 players healthy for the first time in what feels like forever. All four remaining teams have a shot, and win or go home basketball is a treat for the fans. We love ya'll! And remember - everything is hoops.Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@3InTheKeyFollow on Spotify: https://shorturl.at/ACNX2Follow on Amazon Music/Audible: https://shorturl.at/lyAOVFollow on Apple Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/3-in-the-key/id1716265620
Jeremiah, Grant, and Kaim are back to discuss how this season is looking around 20% of the way through the season. In the first half, they discuss the Beard being traded to the Clippers and the subsequent ascension of the 76ers and plummet of the Clippers. Addition by Subtraction? Has Tyrese Maxey established himself as a top-5 guard in this league? If it's the 4th quarter…Will Batum be in? Will Harden and Russell Westbrook coexist on the West Coast? We shall see. The boys dive deep into their NBA Knowledge and by the end of the half, you'll know who Filip Petrusev is too!Over halftime, the 3 in the Key crew discusses Tristan Thompson's viral quote regarding his cheating on reality tv star Khloe Kardashian. Tristan says he feels disgusting after such acts - do the boys see where he's coming from? Khloe asks, “Why do you do it again?” and we try to figure out the answer to that very question. Is cheating the end of any relationship or can things be patched up? 3 in the Key gives their perspective. We finish off with a halftime highlighting one of the league's biggest surprises in this young season - the Houston Rockets. The Rockets are on track to be a playoff team, boasting a top 5 defense in the NBA so far. The Ime Udoka effect at work - we wonder if Udoka affects Houston's off-the-court culture as much as he impacts it on-the-court. Does Houston have a championship core brewing? Harden's favorite city seems to be moving on without him and time will tell how far they'll go.We love ya'll! The 3 in the Key Crew discusses the ins and outs of the 2023-2024 NBA Season. Kaim, Jeremiah, and Grant dive into what they're most excited to watch this season. In the first quarter, they discuss Ben Simmons - will he return to All-Star form, will Anthony Edwards take the leap into superstardom (and potentially out of Minnesota), and are the Thunder headed for a top 5 finish in the West with the addition of Chet Holmgren? The 2nd quarter goes over the topics that the NBA community isn't paying as much attention to as they could. The Charlotte Hornets seemingly have an inability to stay out of the news. How will the mid-season tournament go for NBA players and fans this year, and will the LeBron James and the Lakers be able to recreate their Western Conference Finals magic? We shall see!We love ya'll! And remember - everything is hoops.Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@3InTheKey
The 3 in the Key Crew is back to discuss the ins and outs of the 2023-2024 NBA Season. They rejoin forces to discuss the biggest hits and misses of the NBA offseason with their 3rd quarter segment: "Bucket or Brick". They discuss the Celtics dominant off-season, Freak-Time in Milwaukee and whether the Hawks are poised for a year heading to the lottery. Will the Warriors regret choosing CP3 over Poole? Come for a bit of NBA knowledge, and leave with an economics lesson in inflation. In the fourth quarter, Kaim, Jeremiah, and Grant make their predictions for how the season will end. Who's going to the Finals and who's going to ultimately hoist the Larry O'Brien Trophy? Jokic's dominance frightens some the crew, while others try and predict if LeBron will successfully attain ring No.5. The East is far simpler than the West...right? Stranger things have happened. We love ya'll! And remember - everything is hoops.Subscribe on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@3InTheKey
