On tonight's episode of The Gastroenteritis Blues, Steve, Dan and Emily are reunited to discuss the Sixers' 1-2 week as they've continued their West Coast road trip. What have they thought of Tyrese Maxey's continued impressive play? How about Charles Bassey's emergence in the Nuggets game? How badly has the team missed Joel Embiid lately? They then debrief from Dan and Steve's podcast with Sam Amick about Ben Simmons, and discuss the latest news on the Simmons front. What do they make of the conflicting rumors this week re: the Sixers' possible interest in former Sixer Jerami Grant? How might the deck shuffling in Sacramento affect the Simmons trade landscape? If they were both available, would our hosts prefer Tyrese Haliburton or De'Aaron Fox in return for Simmons? Drama is back in Sacramento following a report from Sam Amick and Shams Charania in The Athletic detailing Luke Walton's future as head coach of the Kings, and it sounds like his tenure could be coming to an end sooner than anticipated. Earlier today, Shams Charania of The Athletic put out a piece detailing the early season troubles of the Sacramento Kings. He also mentioned that De'Aaron Fox isn't fitting well next to Tyrese Haliburton. Given that the Sixers had trade talks with the Kings a few months ago involving Ben Simmons and both of these players, it seems like this would be the perfect time to reengage in those discussions. #Sixers #Kings #BenSimmons #DeAaronFox #TyreseHaliburton #SixersNews #NBA #NBANews Philly Take with RB Merch Store: https://philly-take-with-rb.creator-spring.com/ Subscribe to Philly Take with RB on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCZ6xo8_BSzZJVYfWEqEt1Gw INSTA: https://www.instagram.com/rbphillytake/ TWITTER: https://twitter.com/RBPhillyTake

Happy Veterans Day! The Kings fall in their worst loss of the season last night in San Antonio Is there something to De'Aaron Fox having his two best games sans Tyrese Haliburton? The Sacramento Kings recorded their first loss of the season that wasn't particularly close at any point in the second half. Going into San Antonio, the Kings were favored despite lacking Tyrese Haliburton, but they came out with lackluster effort and energy. Will Griffith of the Kings Herald joins the show for the first segment to talk about why it's too early to say "this is just like last year", even though it was admittedly horrible. We also dive into Fox's breakout performance, the half-court struggles on offense, our thoughts on Walton's early season, and Marvin Bagley refusing to play. For the second half of this episode, I brought on Bruno Passos (@bouncepassos), who covers the San Antonio Spurs, to give his perspective on the Spurs' best shooing night of the year as he drives home from the stadium. I pick his brain on how much of it was simply San Antonio making shots compared to the Kings failing on their end. He hilariously identifies a primary issue with Sacramento's offense after limited exposure to the team this season and gives his thoughts on the Spurs' play-in chances this season. Also, does he think the Spurs could have any interest in trading for Marvin Bagley? Thaddeus Young for Mavin Bagley + a 2nd? Could San Antonio be in the conversation for acquiring a big name in the trade market? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

On today's episode, Jason kicks things off with a few thoughts on the report that the FBI is investigating Deshaun Watson over his alleged sexual misconduct towards over 20 massage therapists. If the victims' attorney is to be believed, Watson could soon be facing human trafficking charges. If it wasn't clear already, it should be now: Watson's trade demand from the Houston Texans is the least of his problems. Later, Jason does a deep dive into Tim Tebow's release from the Jacksonville Jaguars. Tebow was always a long shot to make the final 53-man roster, even with Urban Meyer in his corner. And yet, so many in the media took his release as yet another opportunity to dance on his proverbial grave. But if you take a step back, you'll see that Tebow is still a winner in all of this. If you would've told a teenage Tebow that he'd win the Heisman trophy and two national championships in college, get drafted in the first round and win an NFL playoff game and eventually play professional baseball, you don't think he'd consider himself a success story? In many ways, his 'failure' was actually a blessing in disguise. Finally, Jason shares a quick thought on the Sacramento Kings' NBA Summer League championship. The win doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot in the grand scheme of things, but it did showcase Davion Mitchell's defensive prowess. With Mitchell and second-year guard Tyrese Haliburton in the fold, is it possible we could see a De'Aaron Fox-for-Ben Simmons trade to balance out the roster?
