Known for his come-from-the-clouds charges and high head carriage, he was tough, durable, and classy. At the beginning of Stymies career he struggled for his first owner/trainer. And on his 3rd claiming race Stymie was claimed by Hersh Jacobs for just 1500 dollars for his wife. Jacobs had a phenomenal eye for racehorses. Sir Barton was an American racehorse in the early 1900s. Sir Barton is known for winning the first ever triple crown and what was deemed the race of the century for his match against Man O War. But Sir Barton's story is certainly one of the strangest in Triple Crown history, taking him from obscurity to fame, and back again. However he was disregarded as a triple crown winner until the 1930s when the series was considered what is it today.
