Today's episode I have my beautiful, smart, God fearing “mom friend” Anna. She is a mother of two adorable children. We “mom talk” it UP in this episode but our main topic was about her beautiful mother, Lisa Yarbro, who they call Mona, who passed away from a very rare cancer during Anna's post partum journey. Truly everything that Anna talks about today is a testament to the kind of mother Mona was. I know she is beyond proud of Anna and where she is in her journey of life and motherhood. She is a TOTAL inspiration. I wish I could speak as eloquently and confident as she does. THANK YOU Anna for driving here , sharing your story, opening up about ypour journey, and talking with me about important topics. you HAVE to come back because we have so much more to talk about! We talk about many things including Anna's fertility journey, her beautiful mom's fight against cancer while being pregnant with first child, her relationship with God, post partum while grieving, moving to a new city, how to really enjoy life and trust in God no matter how hard something is, what she has done for herself to become a better mom for her babies, gentle parenting and raising respectful kids, how we handle tantrums, “critical thinking” teaching, how to get to the other side of post partum depression, the importance of being outside in nature and feeding yourself nutritious foods, you have to take care of yourself to be able to take care of your kids, we talk about mom rage, grounding, how important sleep is, pelvic floor therapy (shout out Amy), energy in women's bodies, spirituality, generational eggs, the MAHA movement, detoxing heavy metals and parasites, food dyes, toe walking and different ticks, you name it, we went there.INSTA— @annaygantDETOX— camillathemomzilla.thegoodinside.com
The beautiful mommy of Harvee, Brittany, has come on the pod to talk about her “why” for starting her company Vonu. Vonu has many products now, but their first product, the Burplee, was so helpful for me with Joh Henry and I SO wish I had it with Chessa and Raylan. It could've helped me make the decision to not give them mylicon and/or gripe water. At least now I know and now you'll know :). We talk about our typical morning routines with the kiddos, friendships in your thirties, how we met, what and why she started her company Vonu, what VONU stands for, how quickly the success was and how it truly has helped so many babies with gas pains and tummy time, the “crunchy” lifestyle, she shares her incredible birth story, why/how to advocate for yourself with your birth plan and anything health, their new diaper bag called “Stackpack” that isn't a bottomless pit like most other diaper bags, generational knowledge, maternal death rates for black women, laws in North Carolina about home births, her advocating for her sister in the hospital, vaginal birth benefits, America's health and infertility issues, endometriosis, how she's healing her body from within and the changes she's made that have made a difference, her surgery, “Good Energy” by Casey Means, “The Mountain Is You” by Brianna Wiest, “Well Considered” by Just The Inserts, Reddit, birth control, homeschooling, why having these conversations are so important and MORE. Happy Monday! Today's episode, I have the gorgeous, inspirational mommy of Lylla, Kenzie Densford! This was actually my first episode I recorded so it was interesting to edit this later on and realize how much I have learned since our conversation. For example we talk about epidurals and how it affected her negatively and now I know that an adverse reaction to an epidural is actually anxiety and depression. ANYWAYS, this episode is good ole regular mom talk episode where we dive into a lot of different subjects. Kenzie shared about what the process of getting pregnant looks like for same sex couples, the donor process, IUI vs IVF, how tough post partum is, being a working mom and having to pump, her birth story, epidurals, breastfeeding journeys, how breastmilk is liquid GOLD, breast strikes, 4 month sleep regression, the loss of her father and how he gave her a gift from Heaven, why we shouldn't call the “donors” the “fathers”, we discuss our faith and trust in God's plan for our lives, and Kenzie gives advice to those who may be going through something similar. What an honor it was to have her on. Kenzie, thank you for being so vulnerable! I know it isn't easy, but hearing you've already made such a difference in people's lives just through instagram posts, I can only imagine the positive difference you will make through this podcast. I cannot wait to keep following you and Casey's journey as moms and see where life takes you!! CANT WAIT TO HAVE YOU BACK ON :)Kenzie's Insta: https://www.instagram.com/kenziedensford/
Alexis Sweda Rose is on the podcast to share her heartbreaking story of the loss of her beautiful baby, Brock Tyler, through stillbirth at 29 weeks. Honestly, this is a very hard episode to listen to or watch but I cannot commend Alexis enough for her bravery and vulnerability in sharing her story. It is her goal to spread awareness of stillbirths, the importance of keeping these babies names alive in support of your friends or family who have gone through this and will go through it the rest of their lives, the importance of having full confidence in your medical team, the confidence in knowing if you call your doctor with a medical question they may find silly, that they fully support you and give you the advice and comfort you need. I can't recommend my OGYN enough as you hear on my previous episodes. I know from personal experience, if you are pregnant this can be a hard listen, but Alexis does give advice on things that she was told were “normal” in which in fact they were not normal. She also openly shares about her marriage and how this loss has made them stronger than ever and gives great advice to those who are also going through this. We talk about Alexis's wedding day and the crazy windstorm that came through and a sign that was given from God, her pregnancy, her prenatal care, the whole story of losing her dear baby, Brock Tyler, at 29 weeks, how the hospital handled the death of her child moments after he died, and more. There are moments of laughter and happiness because Alexis is a bright light and her husband Matt is a hoot. Shout out to Matt!Alexis, you are an incredible mom and I will pray continuously for you to hold out hope for a complete different story your next pregnancy. You both are already such wonderful parents. You can see that by the love you two have for your son, Brock, and the lengths you went/will go to, to remember him forever. Thank you for sharing your story. I know this will help someone or multiple people in many ways. You are a light, my friend! If you would like to contact Alexis or follow her beautiful journey of life, her instagram is — @swedathansugarIf you believe in the power of prayer, please pray with me that Alexis and Matt can have a successful, full term pregnancy, and have a much different experience. Let's also pray for every single parent who has faced the unbearable and lost a child in any circumstance. Let us also pray for the friends and family of those who have lost a child and help them to stay present in their lives, no matter how sad or uncomfortable it may feel. Let's pray for all the doctors out there who have one of the hardest job in the entire world. God is good all the time, and all the time God is good. Amen.
Part 1 of 2 episodes where I am having my first ever conversations with people about vaccines. In this episode, I chat with one of my role models and inspirations, Brandy L., who has helped pave the way for us mom's who are really just now diving into this whole healing and wellness journey. I am so honored she came on the podcast and shared information regarding homesteading , homeschooling, and, the dreaded topic, vaccines. She shares her daughter's vaccine injuries, what our pediatricians feared us into believing, antibiotics and how 90% of ear infections can actually be healed naturally, strep throat, chiropractors, toe walking/ticks, PBX detox drops and spray for gut health, heavy metals, and parasites, we talk about toxic mold in houses, the MTFR gene that can make you more likely to have adverse reaction to vaccines and make you not able to eat certain foods, we chat about homesteading and how anyone can do it, sourdough, kombucha, raising chickens, more. Like I said, this was the first time I had ever really shared my experiences or talked about vaccines at all with someone. I was admittedly nervous because I am no expert and I'm not in the medical field but I've been ready to dive into the topic. I encourage you to listen no matter what you feel about vaccines and even if the topic makes you anxious, as it does for me. There's no judgement or labeling here on Camilla the Momzilla. This is me inviting you to come along this journey of healing, health, wellness, and finding the truth so that my kids don't have to be the ones to do this. It's time to step out of our comfort zone and set our kids up for optimal success.Thank you SO much Brandy!Insta— https://www.instagram.com/healingandhomesteadingmama/WHERE TO GET THE DETOX—https://detoxmom.thegoodinside.com/pbpbx-trial-offer-168014-lp/detoxmom.thegoodinside.comThe Detox Pack safely helps to remove:• Toxic Heavy Metals• Pesticides• Mycotoxins (from mold)• Microplastics• Various other environmental toxins• Radioactive Materials• (Antipathogenic & immune system booster)Passing parasites while detoxing is NOT uncommon, parasites use toxins to hide from the body's natural defenses!*It is recommended to detox for a full 6 months with PBX for best results (After that daily use of the detox pack is recommended since toxin exposure is constant)*Detox Pack is pet friendly! This is part 2 of my first conversations ever with someone about vaccines. If you listened to Part 1 with Brandy, you can literally see my confidence level has completely changed while talking with Alexandra. This is proof of me overcoming my fears of learning the truth about vaccines or being worried to offend or say something the wrong way. I can now confidently ask the questions I have and hear other people's opinions without being fearful of what their answer might be. In this episode you hear me giving the full story on a terrible experience I had at my previous pediatricians office that I shared with very few people. I open up to Alexandra, who has been in research for years, and I learn SO many things that I truly believe everyone and every parent should know.We talk about her story of her background in research and what made her start her instagram page, what inserts are, the importance of informed consent, how vaccine schedules are made, corruption, what incentives are, I share my story with choosing to vaccinate my children, how all of this can affect post partum, adverse reactions, what eczema is and how it's more than just a rash, a mother's instinct, jaundice, she shares some stories she has gone through with multiple pediatricians, the real reporting of adverse reactions, safety studies, vaccines during pregnancy, how to have these open and honest conversations with friends and family about your choice for your child, and more.It can be very hard to take the first step and take that blind fold off to see the truth but let me tell you, it is worth it for the future of our children, children's children, and so on. Thank you Alexandra for helping pave the way for me and thousands of other parents!Alexandra's Info—Insta— https://www.instagram.com/justtheinserts/Website— https://justtheinserts.com/?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0CMTEAAabI2rZ4ZID52UAxDlZMooI5QqJsFt4O511q5DNvgGtFtwM9KfEL0DbIL84_aem_NOu4wChxwXG3CnmVbS7mWwBook— https://justtheinserts.store
My pelvic floor therapist's website says it best; “there is a good chance that you have already been told that pelvic floor issues are “normal,” “part of getting older” or “just how your body is after childbirth.” We are here to tell you that there is help and hope. At Moses & Johnson (MOJO) Therapy Associates, we treat the issues that are talked about the least but often impact our daily lives the most.” I have the wonderful and beautiful Ellen, a PFT and new mommy, on to talk all about pelvic floor, who is it for (aka everyone), what areas of life it can help you with such as fertility, pregnancy, post partum, sexual intercourse, PAIN, etc. We dive into many things, like our own stories + how specifically it has helped us, all the muscles in your pelvic floor, Ellen talks about the benefits of dry needling, we talk about potty training, why it hurts to have sex and what we can do to fix that, ending period cramps, pros and cons of kegels, how PFT is more than helping with the physical stuff…mental health too. Pelvic floor issues are common, not normal, and it's time we all know about it, it's time we give people in pain hope, it's time to change these certain hardships we face. I truly cannot thank Ellen enough for coming on and sharing the important things about PFT. We both believe it should be a requirement after delivery and Ellen shares a little about how MOJO's research could help make that a possibility. BIG DEAL. I can't wait to have Ellen back and possibly some other PFTs to come on and share more about this.MOJO's website— https://www.mojoph.comInstgram— https://www.instagram.com/mojopelvichealth
The beautiful mother of 3 and one of the most incredible women I know, Amy Young, is on this episode with me and I cannot thank her enough for her vulnerability in sharing her story about her daughter's diagnosis of spina bifida and how she is doing today. She shares the incredible clinical trial they were a part of in Texas which helped change her daughter's future mobility, amongst many other things and how that experience affected her family in many positive ways. This family is truly an inspiration. Halfway through we unknowingly do a deep dive into our faith and Amy shares how her relationship with Jesus and how her constant growing faith and desire to know Him and his story even more has completely changed her life for the better and I couldn't agree more. Thank you Amy and cannot wait to have you back on to check in on you and sweet Madison! If you are in need of a great spray tan, Forever Young Spray Tan is Amy's mobile spray tan company! my name is Camilla and i am the face of MOMZILLA. I am a mom of 3 beautiful children, the wife of a plumber with some musical talent you could say, a wedding and birth videographer, a family photographer, and a mom who has struggled with post partum depression and anxiety. I started this podcast with the intention of bringing all moms together, sharing our stories, bc we all have them, and really helping moms not feel alone. Over the last 5 years of motherhood, I have embarked on a journey of transparency, vulnerability, optimizing mental and physical health, and setting up my self and my children for a healthy, successful future. I am also a Christian who is completely thankful for my Lord and Savior and striving to be more comfortable with talking about my faith with others but I am no where near perfect, just yearning to be the best person, mother, wife, daughter, and friend I can be. I would be honored to have you come on this journey of motherhood with me as I learn new things from every guest appearance, have conversations that you may or may not normally have, and learning the best ways to eliminate toxins in our every day lives whether in our home or what we put into our bodies. I know these topics can be intimidating. BUT we can do this together. We will take this day by day, step by step, one thing at a time and if you are a mom or a future mom looking to do the same, then this is the podcast for you. Welcome to season 2 of Camilla the MOMZILLA. This episode I am filling y'all in on my third pregnancy and delivery story, along with how my post partum journey is going but if you'd rather here about how this season will be, skip to the halfway mark and I get into ALL the deets. Cannot wait for you to come on this journey of motherhood with me! LESGO.

YALL. What an incredible episode today with the beautiful, smart, and fellow mom, Kim, who works for the wonderful formula company Bobbie. After my breastfeeding journey ended with my son, Bobbie was who I turned to and I've never been more confident in what my baby was eating. I loved that Bobbie not only normalizes formula feeding but supports breastfeeding as well. Kim and I had an incredible conversation about the company's goal to help parents feel confident in whichever way they choose to feed your baby, the ingredients Bobbie is proud to have and the ones they're proud to NOT have, what it takes to be an “organic” formula, the formula shortage, Kim shares her own personal breastfeeding/formula feeding journeys, and more. I recommend every mom and future mom to listen in!! Thanks Kim, you rock!!Bobbie: https://www.hibobbie.comInsta: https://www.instagram.com/bobbie/PS, now you can find Bobbie @ Target!!

Seriously, you're not. In this episode we talk about how friendships that are in different stages of life can be hard, we talk about what mindset you should have if you feel like your life isn't where you expected it to be, we talk about miscarriages, how important having a support system and good medical team is, how there needs to be more awareness and sensitivity when asking personal questions, some questions first time moms may have, aaaaand a lot more LOL. Episode 7 is hereeee. It's a good one y'all. I have the beautiful Virginia (my two year old called her Mrs. Vagaina....LOL) with us today to talk all about pelvic floor therapy. I had no idea what it was (even after arriving at my first appointment) until my wonderful OB suggested it. It has absolutely changed my life mentally and physically. In this episode we talk about my journey with PFT, what exactly a pelvic floor is and how important it is for everyone (not just moms), the symptoms you may have that are signs it's time to make an appt, keegals, what's "common" but not "normal", how PFT can help with all kinds of things such as jaw pain, back pain, pregnancy, anything post partum, even fertility, and so much more. I hope you learn as much as I did. Thank you Virginia for gracing us with your presence and having the most calming voice of all time. Yooooo. On this week's episode, I have my long time friend, Tori Milligan on to chat about being a working mom in the medical field, her 3 very different birth stories, 2 traumatic ER visits with two of our babies (shout out to Aja Jenkins), and more. I can't wait for her to be back on to talk about other topics such as pregnancy loss and losing a parent while you're parenting your own kids. Thank you for being vulnerable for us all Tori, love you so much mamacita.Jackson's Birth Video: https://vimeo.com/265474233Blake's Birth Video: https://vimeo.com/315333094Moms, I highly recommend the Owlet Baby Monitor. Listen to the end of this podcast to hear how the Owlet saved Jackson's life by alerting them of a problem. Here is the link to the monitor: https://www.target.com/p/owlet-dream-sock-baby-monitor/-/A-85337790#lnk=sametabHOWEVER, I personally do not recommend the camera it has with it. From personal experience, it gets very warm when turned on and that's very worrisome and brought me more anxiety. Also, your phone has to be on instead of having a separate part which I am not a fan of because my phone dies so quickly. I recommend this camera: https://www.target.com/p/vtech-digital-5-34-video-monitor-with-nightlight/-/A-80913091#lnk=sametab

Anyways, can't wait for you to hear what a post partum doula is all about and how incredible this woman is. Alright alright alriiiiiiight. This is the first episode I ever recorded...unfortunately you'll be able to tell a bit by my nerves, my bad positioning of the mics, and the video cutting off the last 5 minutes ...lol but HEY. It's all good because this episode you have the infamous Kelly Ginn here to talk all about PCOS, how it affected her and how it can affect other women, and, of course, how her pregnancy is going! KG is a beautiful, smart, one of a kind woman who runs her wedding photography business in Memphis with her PIC John, who is indeed, her baby daddy too now. You'll be able to find KG on Insta @kellyginn22 and follow her other account that is ALL about PCOS @pcOHshit. Thanks for listening!!
OMG I am SO excited to finally launch Camilla The Momzilla podcast. For my first episode, I thought who better than to be my guest than my own mom, Pamela! We talk about why I wanted to start this whole shebang, we discuss everything post partum, and we talk about all our pregnancies, deliveries, breastfeeding, etc. You even find out how I was conceived...hence the title of this episode lol and we talk about the struggles moms face every day. And of course, being my mom, she gives me an introduction to fill you in on what I'm about! I can't wait to have her back on in the future to dive deeper into some topics like colic, being a working mom, and still birth. Thanks for listening!
