This delightful metaphor serves as a powerful reminder that we often prepare ourselves, sometimes in the smallest ways, for those transformative moments that can change our lives forever. Diving deeper, Brianna emphasizes that the journey toward deeper truth is an internal one.

Join me as I share the comically painful on-air mishap that brings authenticity to our story, and how we're preparing for our own draft day style gender reveal - a personal milestone that interweaves with topics of fear, resistance, and the pursuit of the American dream.Resistance can be as subtle as a perfectionist's hesitation or a busy schedule but it's always there, shaping our decisions. In this episode, we peel back the layers of manufactured barriers that plague us all, from the entrepreneur to the dreamer. We explore how these emotional obstacles don't just stunt business growth – showcased by the recent shutdowns of local breweries – but also affect our relationships and personal fulfillment. With anecdotes and insights, we aim to spark a shift in how we view and confront the challenges that stand in the way of our goals. As I urge my fellow dreamers to break free from the fear cycle that inhibits action and potential, we also tackle the battles of productivity that every modern-day gladiator faces. Distractions are the nemesis of willpower, but I propose it's not about brute force in overcoming them; instead, it's about recognizing and navigating these battles with a renewed perspective. So, prepare for a heartfelt, humorous, and honest exploration of life's resistances, the celebration of milestones, and the shared journey toward personal and professional growth. If you found value in today's show please return the favor and leave a positive review and share it with someone important to you! https://www.sharethestrugglepodcast.com/reviews/new/Find all you need to know about the show https://www.sharethestrugglepodcast.com/Official Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100077724159859Join the 2% of Americans that Buy American and support American Together we can bring back American Manufacturing https://www.loudproudamerican.shop/Loud Proud American Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/LoudproudamericanLoud Proud American Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/loud_proud_american/Loud Proud American TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@loud_proud_americanLoud Proud American YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCmYQtOt6KVURuySWYQ2GWtwThank you for Supporting My American Dream!

It's Abby here with a solo episode this week and you guys know I love anything that has to do with personal growth and I love reading. So I thought, why not do an episode based entirely on one of the most impactful books that I've read recently; The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest. I talk you through some of my biggest takeaways from this book that have also really resonated with other female entrepreneurs in my life.Amy, Kat and I all know that as an entrepreneur it's not just business and it's not just personal. The two go hand in hand. Oftentimes as women, if it feels like you're thriving in one area it can feel like you're depleted in the other. We hear it so often from this community that you have a lot going on and you feel stuck. You can't get out of a rut. But what if I told you that your problems aren't problems, they are symptoms of you?Throughout the episode I walk you through how you can overcome these internal barriers and turn perceived obstacles into opportunities. I go through the key points of the book including understanding what the mountain is, tools for climbing the mountain, and how to navigate the ascent. I also touch on how to apply these concepts to your business. If this message is hitting home for you and you know another female entrepreneur who could benefit from listening, we would love it if you could share this episode with her!The Mountain Is You by Brianna WiestLet's connect!Purposeful Week Planner: https://www.pursuingherpurpose.com/shopOur WEBSITE: https://www.pursuingherpurpose.comINSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/pursuingherpurpose/MEET AMY: http://instagram.com/ameskiefer/MEET KAT: https://www.instagram.com/kat.herro/ MEET ABBY: http://instagram.com/abbyrosegreen/

Crackling with the raw emotion of life's most pivotal moments, this episode is a tapestry woven from threads of joy, struggle, and revelation. When my wife and I decided to reveal our pregnancy on our podcast, before even turning to family, it was more than an announcement—it was an invitation to our community to embark on this profound journey with us. As we gear up for the 200th episode, the anticipation of fatherhood courses through every word, echoing the poignant loss of my own father and the financial tightrope we walk, all set against the backdrop of faith and destiny.Easter's tender significance this year became a launchpad for a candid conversation, where personal joys intertwined with a broader discourse on society's pulse. The announcement, wrapped in the playful imagery of a onesie and cowboy boots, soon dovetailed into a robust dialogue on the intersection of beliefs, American freedoms, and the current political climate. This is not just an episode—it's a heart-to-heart, where the personal collides with the public, and where we navigate the complexities of grief and new beginnings.Staring down the corridor of what lies ahead, I can't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the mountains we've climbed and the ones that still beckon. This part of the adventure draws lessons from the poignant narrative of "The Mountain Is You," inviting you to witness the metamorphosis that fatherhood and the pursuit of an American dream can bring about. As I sign off, poised on the brink of the 200th episode, it's a moment to reflect on the odyssey so far and to extend an invitation to continue the conversation across the expanse of social media landscapes.

Dalton and Wayne Mullins Grow Sell and Retire PodcastTop tip: When a team member brings you, the owner, a problem "Ask don't answer"To learn more about serial entrepreneur and all around great guy Wayne's secrets, listen to the podcast.B.D. Dalton conducted a discussion with Wayne Mullins, who operates out of Alexandria, Louisiana. Wayne shared his entrepreneurial journey, explaining that his marketing and business degree led him to the sales profession, which eventually enabled him to start his own business. The name of his company is based on a quote from ad agency founder David Ogilvy, emphasizing the importance of effectiveness over aesthetics in marketing.Mindset, Culture, and Entrepreneurial TensionWayne discussed the importance of mindset and continuous effort in building a high-performance culture within creative sectors, contrasting it with the common entrepreneurial mindset that views team members as a necessary evil. He emphasized that culture requires ongoing attention and effort, and highlighted the tension between alignment and autonomy. wayne suggested that to reset or reprogram an existing, perhaps successful, but culturally adrift company, an apology from leadership for allowing the culture to slip and for becoming complacent is necessary. He stressed the importance of clarity on expectations and avoiding the path of least resistance. wayne also suggested that entrepreneurs should avoid being a hero all the time and instead empower others to help solve problems.Encouraging Self-Sufficiency for Leadership DevelopmentWayne discussed the importance of shifting from being the sole answer provider to encouraging team members to think for themselves. He shared his method of asking questions instead of providing immediate answers, emphasizing the value of fostering leadership qualities among team members. He also acknowledged that this approach may initially result in more mistakes but stressed the importance of tolerating these mistakes as part of the learning process. Strategic Marketing & Daily ImprovementB.D. and wayne discussed the significance of strategic marketing, particularly in challenging times. wayne emphasized the value of strategic thinking and compared it to building a boat from a box of Legos. He also stressed the importance of daily incremental improvement. wayne shared his philosophy of daily improvement and the compounding effect of small, consistent steps. He emphasized the necessity of seeking and applying good advice, tailored to the company's current stage. He advised against getting distracted by long-term goals and instead urged staying mindful of short-term objectives.Entrepreneurial Efficiency: Daily Routine Discussionwayne shared his philosophy of maintaining a consistent daily routine, which he found to be highly efficient and effective as an entrepreneur. He revealed that he follows the same morning and evening routines every day, which he likened to "capstones" that structure his day. His routine includes meditation, reading, and physical exercise. He also touched upon the power of affirmations in his routine, even if not directly. B.D. asked about the specifics of wayne's routine, but the details were not provided in the transcript.Diverse Thought, Shared Goals: Managing Conflict in Growth-Mindset TeamsB.D. and wayne discussed how to handle conflicts within a team that has diverse thought processes but shared goals. wayne emphasized the importance of incremental progress and a growth mindset, and how these principles can unify a team regardless of personal routines or ethos. He also talked about the range of clients they work with, from startups to large corporations, all of whom are growth-oriented and willing to challenge the status quo. The conversation ended abruptly without a clear conclusion.Book Recommendations and Consistency in ReadingWayne Mullins discussed his reading habits, mentioning "The Mountain Is You" by Brianna Weist and "The Choice" by Dr. Edith Edgar as particularly powerful books. He emphasized the importance of consistency, stating that it leads to remarkable outcomes in all aspects of life. wayne also mentioned his website, ugmugmarketing.com, as the best place for connecting with him and his team. About Beatrice Caffrey: After a long career in the hospitality industry, Beatrice turned her interest to Health, Wellness and Nutrition. Going through perimenopause and then menopause herself, she realized how important lifestyle was to her feeling her best at this stage of her life. She now helps women navigate this period of their lives through nutrition, fitness and mindset. So often women put their own needs behind those of others - but in order to be of best service to those around us, we must look after ourselves first.   What We Discuss in This Episode: We discuss what Beatrice mentioned about foods and nutrition. As we age, things change for us.  What we could eat before maybe we can't eat now, but what most important foods are there for women when they get to their mid-forties into their fifties? We discuss how protein helps in the rebuilding of cells, of muscles, etc., as well as keeping full -  it takes the body a little bit longer to digest protein.  It's really great to include protein in every single meal. Beatrice mentioned one form of protein for vegans called S-E-I-T-A-N. It actually comes from Japanese and it means from protein. We also discuss “what the deal is” with weight gain in menopause and our tendency to get belly fat where maybe in the past, that wasn't an issue for us. Why does movement play an even bigger role now? We discuss the impact of alcohol on menopause symptoms? Why does mental heath matter and what role does that play as we reach midlife? Hello Everyone! In this week's episode, our host Allie Brooke talks about self-sabotage and how to overcome it. She references the amazing book "The Mountain Is You" by Brianna Wiest. We become very comfortable with self-sabotaging patterns. It's our brain's way of protecting us from certain threats. Unfortunately, it creates a vicious cycle of overthinking and limits our potential. It is important to realize our thoughts aren't us and are not the true reality. We have the power to create restorative patterns to enjoy the flows in like and not always be on the defense of the ebbs. Episode Topics What is self-sabotage? Why do our brains create self-sabotage thought patterns? How do we create healthy habits in order to cope with self-sabotage? How can we create trust in ourselves again rather than always being on the defensive? Saya membahas buku The Mountain Is You karya Brianna Wiest.

This episode I talk about how to develop your personal identity in multiple areas of life and what goes into deciding what your ideal life to live is. Being able to live a life that lines up with your true identity is how you can also start living a regret free life. You learn ways to think that lead to a regret free life with a weight lifted off your shoulders because you aren't having to rethink a decision that has already been made. The reading from this episode about core needs comes from the book The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest. For this week's activity, write down what makes you happy/comfortable and what makes you stressed/anxious. Then try to bring the good more into focus in your daily life and try to distance yourself from stressful and bad things in your life.
