Listeners of FRAMED: An Investigative Story that love the show mention:The FRAMED: An Investigative Story podcast is an incredibly engaging and well-presented true crime series that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Hosted by Aaron, who also co-hosts the Gen Why podcast with Justin, this show showcases his clear and concise delivery, making it easy to follow along with the intricate details of each case. The first season was particularly impressive, demonstrating thoughtful and thorough research that resulted in a captivating narrative. As a fan of Aaron's other work, I was excited to dive into this podcast and it did not disappoint.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is its ability to thoroughly research each case and present it in a way that is both informative and gripping. Aaron clearly knows his stuff, providing listeners with a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in these complex cases. The level of analysis and detail presented is masterful, allowing listeners to truly immerse themselves in the story. Furthermore, I appreciate that the podcast avoids inserting personal narratives or sensationalizing the cases, focusing instead on presenting the facts.
While there are many positives to this podcast, one potential downside is that some episodes may be incomplete or cut off mid-flow. This can be frustrating for listeners who are eager to hear the full story and may disrupt the overall listening experience. Additionally, some may find certain recordings or re-enactments difficult to listen to due to issues with audio quality or acting.
In conclusion, The FRAMED: An Investigative Story podcast is an excellent true crime series that stands out among others in its genre. The amount of research and attention to detail put into each episode is commendable, resulting in a brilliantly immersive experience for listeners. While there may be some minor issues with episode completeness or audio quality at times, these do not detract from the overall quality of the podcast. I highly recommend giving this podcast a listen if you enjoy true crime stories presented in a clear and engaging manner.

For more than three and a half decades, the disappearance of 12-year-old Jonelle Matthews was a mystery – a riddle neither authorities nor her family members could solve. The residents of her cloistered Colorado hometown had scoured every inch of prairie. Jonelle's face had been on milk cartons nationwide. Even the President of the United States had appealed to the public for help. Still, every lead had fizzled. Every person of interest had turned out to be a dead end. Then, in 2019, Jonelle's remains were unearthed near the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. With the discovery came a troubling new question: Had the truth been hiding in plain sight the entire time? Was the man who couldn't stop obsessing over Jonelle's disappearance also the person who took her? From Campside Media and Wondery comes season two of SUSPECT. Former CNN reporter Ashley Fantz and executive producers Matthew Shaer and Eric Benson (Suspect, Over My Dead Body) dig into one of the most mind-bending cold cases in modern history, in an attempt to separate fact and fiction, compulsion from guilt, and true-crime fandom from a motive for murder.Hey Prime Members, you can binge all 6 episodes of SUSPECT: Vanished in the Snow ad-free on Amazon Music. The Framed Team has assembled the pieces to this jigsaw puzzle in a way that no one ever has, to reveal a picture no one’s ever seen. To the question, what exactly happened inside the Wat Promkunaram temple on a warm summer night in 1991… we have an answer, and we think we can prove it.
The rules that govern what evidence is admissible and what is inadmissible can be complicated. Often times our common sense understanding of what a relevant fact is doesn’t line up with what the law allows jurors to hear. The gap between the two views can be vast. In this case, the evidence the jury used to reach their verdict was remarkably different than the evidence we’ve covered so far. On this episode of Framed, we’re going to explore why.
The task force interviewed every single person that spent time with their three juvenile suspects. Literally hundreds of inmates were interviewed and, by our count, at least forty of them provided relevant information to the task force. We aren’t going to go over every single statement from every single snitch, but we will go through enough of them to help you see the bigger picture.
On this episode of Framed, we’re going to focus on our material fact witnesses. The girlfriends, and ex-girlfriends. The close confidants, the classmates, the acquaintances, and the rivals.
On this episode we’re going to focus on those individuals who fall somewhere between witnesses and suspects; a group often referred to by law enforcement as “persons-of-interest.”
"It's time to give it up. I want you to start telling me what happened on August 9th, what your involvement was, and who all was there at the Temple. Let's just get this out and get it over with."
"It wasn't me! It must have been the guy I loaned my rifle to..." A new suspect enters the interrogation room.
On October 23, 1991, the task force received some good news. The crime lab had identified the murder weapon. It was a Marlin twenty-two-caliber long rifle. The owner of the weapon was brought in for questioning.
A tip came in on the hotline that promised to bust this case wide open. In three days time, the task force had five suspects in custody... but each suspect had a different story to tell. In a case where everything depends on what people say, how do you decide who you're going to believe?Music for Season Two was created by The Captain (TrueCrimeGarage)
The deadliest mass shooting in Arizona's history occurred on August 10th, 1991. Nine victims were executed in the Wat Promkunaram Buddhist Temple, located in Waddell, Arizona. Twenty-one shots were fired in total. The gunmen didn’t miss once. By the time the bodies were discovered they were cold to the touch. The shooters had long since fled the scene, leaving, as it seemed, without a trace. As news of the slayings spread, temple members gathered outside the crime scene, anxious to know the answer to one question. Why? Why did they have to kill them?Music for Season Two was created by The Captain (TrueCrimeGarage)
On August 10th, 1991, nine victims were arranged in a circle and executed in a Buddhist Temple outside of Waddell, Arizona. The Framed Team spent two years combing through every piece of evidence, every misstep, and every alibi to try and figure out what exactly happened in the Wat Promkunaram Temple and, maybe more importantly, why it happened. Framed Season 2 premieres on January 6th.
