As best I could I tried to prioritize my mental health in my 20's and have definitely reaped a lot of benefits from doing so. One specific thing has been cultivating an amazing morning routine. The one I use is The Magic Journal. Learning about money - Financial literacy is a vital life skill. I share how I learned about managing my finances and the importance of saving and investing. Exploring different career options - I emphasize the importance of trying different jobs and finding what you are passionate about. Also sharing how I found my calling and how it has changed my life. Failing at something - Failure is a necessary step in the learning process. I talk about how failing helped her build resilience and understand that it's okay to make mistakes. Exercise - Regular exercise can have a significant impact on our physical and mental health. I started working out in my mid 20's and it has been a major game changer. Ian talks about overcoming the odds in the acting industry and how he pursued his career with grit and passion. Starting a career in acting can be a challenging journey, especially when faced with limited resources and societal biases. Despite having only $800 to his name and living in his car, Ian Verdun pursued his passion for acting and refused to let financial constraints and industry prejudice stop him. As a black actor who is also gay, he faced discrimination from both his skin color and sexual orientation, which were not fully accepted in the entertainment industry. But he persevered and worked various restaurant jobs to make ends meet, all the while writing pitch emails to casting directors and never losing sight of his dream. After ten long years of hard work and determination, he finally started to see some progress and even created and wrote his own pilot, Life's A Drag which ended up winning an award at Series Fest! Just when he thought he was at "rock bottom" an audition came along, and to his surprise, he booked it!
