I know you might think I am not taking my own advice with this episode but just listen, Linda! I was so hurt by some of the commentary on social media that I felt compelled to drop an episode, reminding us of who we were, where we've come from and how we need to be when in community with one another.Growth can sometimes allow us to forget our journey and when we forget where we've come from, we find it easy to judge those who are sitting in seats we used to occupy. Maybe we never occupied those seats so we don't understand the view. Whatever the reason, humility, compassion and grace are potent ways of being! In this episode, I talk about what it's like to truly heal and grow and how we can be better to others as we are being kind to ourselves. I share tips on how I use my growth to navigate long-term relationships and offer tips on how you can do the same.I truly hope you'll find value in this episode and if you do, I hope you will share it! Now I won't get religious on you BUT there are some things God has placed in you that we need you to get on the outside. Sometimes this can be hard because trauma is unkind. Trauma can have you feeling stuck. Trauma can have you talking to yourself crazy and it can even have you in a space where you're struggling to show up as the person you know you are capable of being.Dr. Raquel Martin defines trauma as anything that overwhelms the body's ability to cope. For me, trauma was my divorce, the loss of my mother, strain in familial relationships, the loss of friendships, losing jobs, dealing with workplace trauma and so many things. I have been through so much but I made up in my mind I would not allow myself to look like what I've been through and the rest was history. As I am healing, I feel stronger for having survived all the things and for persevering. I've reconnected with my strength and I feel more grounded than I ever have in purpose. I want this for you also. Take a listen to this episode and do me a favor...at the end there's an assignment. Will you complete it? Will you tap into your gifts and show your trauma it didn't stop you? I know you have it in you and I would never discount who you are based on what you've gone through.Share this episode, leave a review if you haven't already and don't forget to subscribe. Healing What May Be a Mediocre Mindset

Sometimes showing up is enough, especially when it's all we have to give. But sometimes we have more we can offer ourselves and have simply gotten used to giving less and not being challenged, leaving us frustrated when it's not enough to meet our goals. Extraordinary results requires extraordinary effort and the people who truly love us will often encourage us to push past our limit to aspire towards greatness, IF they can do so without meeting our wrath.I am most certainly guilty of becoming defensive when I've been pushed in certain situations. Perhaps it is the fact that I know the person is right and I feel guilty. I have been guilty of making up stories about their intention and drawing conclusions about their own effort to excuse the effort I wasn't giving in situations. You know...some of the games we play to be right.Healing a mediocre mindset requires allowing ourselves to acknowledge many things can be true. It's accepting that you can be doing better than you were doing and you still have more to do. It's coming to grips with the fact that mediocre effort will only yield mediocre results and we cannot be mad when we don't earn a trophy we didn't compete for!Because of hubby challenging me, I am pushing myself a bit more these days as I work towards developing a new personal best. May this episode support you in doing the same! With Love,Tiff This instrumental track was created by Shorne Callahan of Tampa, FL. for Heal Shit podcast

Heal Sh*t family...what's good? Welcome to 2023! Our year of possibility, hope, opportunities and growth. I pray your year has started with a whole lot of yes', you've been approved, you've been accepted and all the things your heart desires. Y'all, I am excited to be on this journey with you.As I jump into 2023, I am preparing myself for all of the blessings I've seen in my dreams and visions. I am opening my heart for abundance and I am expecting great things. I chose two words to kick off my year- discipline and consistency, and I have made a vow to myself to be disciplined and consistent in all that I do.  I recognize success is truly a mindset and if I intend to meet my goals, I will have to get my mind right and keep my mind fixed on the desires of my heart.Have you prepared your mind for the life you desire to create? If not, this episode is for you. Even if you have, this episode will affirm your work and encourage you to keep going. Your mindset is going to be one of the main reasons you succeed this year! I claim this for you now.As mentioned in the episode, the sermon from Mike Todd was confirmation I am on the right track. I'd encourage you to watch it also. It's 20 minutes and it's definitely the extra push you need to get moving. I would also encourage you to make daily to-do lists or in other words, write your vision daily and be rigid about keeping your word. You won't have to sacrifice forever but you are worth the time it will take to meet your goals.I'm speaking nothing but prosperity, love, happiness, abundance, health and peace for you all 2023 and beyond...Tiff This instrumental track was created by Shorne Callahan of Tampa, FL. for Heal Shit podcast

This episode will offer guidance for leaders who want to learn how to effectively navigate these relationships, providing tactical strategies to earn trust, offer grace and manage performance. At the same time, this episode is meant to plant a seed for those who are traumatized and need a little accountability regarding their behavior. On 8/13/2022, hundreds of students from over 20 HBCU's across the country had the opportunity to experience the first iteration of a mental health tour I was fortunate enough to create called Mind Over Matter during Amazon's HBCU conference, Beyond the Yard. Now the tour is beginning to make its rounds to college campuses around the country and I could not be more excited. This tour was created to bridge the gap in accessing mental health resources for Black students and to make mental health easy to understand and manage. Three therapists, Shanta Jackson, Jason Phillips and Monroe Howard Shackelford have agreed to work with us and they will be addressing anxiety, depression, imposter syndrome and so much more. These providers were also selected because of their strong social media presence, offering students platforms and people to follow beyond their day to day influencers so they have direct access to life-improving content. If you know of a student who can benefit from attending this event at Florida A&M University next Tuesday, 9/20/22, please email me at Eltffan@amazon.com and I am happy to help them register for this event. Attendees must be currently enrolled students at the university. I love you all so much and thank you for being a part of this community. In this heartfelt conversation between Tiffany and Lo, the ladies come together to talk about Season 2 and provide an update on why it's been so long since they were able to record together. Season 2 of the podcast was created to tell a little bit of Tiffany's story and to shed light on some of the traumatic situations she experienced earlier in life that led to problematic thought processes and ways of being. Through telling these stories, Tiffany hoped to illustrate how easy it can be to want to give up, stop believing in people and become the person you were not created to be but she, instead, tells a story of choosing to heal in spite of. That's what this season ended up teaching everyone. The ladies also talk about how all the healing work they've done over the last year prepared Lo for her second experience with cancer and Tiffany for her new growth and the opportunities before her. It's an emotional conversation but it wasn't edited because real healing takes place during the real conversations. After you finish listening to the episode, please take a moment and pray for both of the ladies and also reflect on what's been shared. It's encouraged that you also take a moment to journal about your thoughts. Although Season 2 is wrapping, the ladies may be recording some special episodes over the next few months to keep the family close as everyone is growing into new seasons. Greetings family! Today's episode is the first installment of the new series on parent-child relationships for Season 2- Healing My High School Self. In this episode, Tiffany chats with Jen about the impact of having a semi-present/absent parent and what that experience felt like for her as a teenage girl. She unpacks a little bit about the daddy issues she had early on and how they were able to heal a lot of that and build a beautiful father-daughter relationship. Although Tiffany's story may sound unique, research shows just under 50% of Black children under the age of 18 are being raised by a single mother in the U.S. This can sometimes lead to a lack in available financial resources, less quality time and care as well as future risk for socioeconomic losses/instability. Not to mention the social and emotional impact having one parent can have on children and how this might cause children to show up in different areas of their lives. This is part of the reason we've chosen to shed light on the situation. After you listen to the episode, we'd love to hear your thoughts!
