When you lose a game in the NBA, you obviously are overtaken with emotion, in the playoffs, that feeling only intensifies. We saw this reach a boiling point for reigning league MVP Joel Embiid after the Game 4 loss to the Knicks. In an interview with the media, Embiid voiced his anger and displeasure with Knick fans and their ability to show up and take over Wells Fargo Arena. It was another added excuse for the oft-injured big man who is looking at another first round playoff exit with the 76ers. The Knicks have the chance to close out Embiid tonight at home and given Embiid's comments, it's clear he's looking at how to deflect blame versus take accountability… Troy Mahabir breaks all of this down! The Clippers have a series of up and coming young and hungry teams also competing to represent the west in the NBA Finals. We will review each team's chances. The Milwaukee Bucks have had a very controversial season thus far. After a blistering start to the season the franchise fired their head coach in favor of former Philadelphia 76ers head coach Doc Rivers. It'll be a SUPER podcast as we cap off the final game of the NFL season and everything else happening in sports. On deck: (3:05) A way too early pregame show on CBS. A Taylor Tracker monitoring pop's biggest superstar's arrival in Las Vegas. And, oh yes, there is a football game being played Sunday night in Sin City between the San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs. I'll have a complete breakdown of what the keys will be for both teams, matchups to look for and who'll win the 58th version of the big game. I'll also share my thoughts on the halftime show with Usher headlining the festivities, the commercials, how this'll be the most watched television show in history, color commentator Tony Romo, among other things that surround Super Sunday. I must add my two cents on the NFL, not only playing in Brazil as we know, but when they're playing this game. A Friday? Seriously? (36:21) The trade deadline in the NBA has arrived. By 3pm today, we would expect some wheeling and dealing as teams look for reinforcements for the stretch run of the regular season. Will the Sixers make a play for Bulls guard, DeMar DeRozan with reigning MVP Joel Embiid on the shelf for the next four weeks? (43:52) #3 Kansas Jayhawks become another top team in college basketball to suffer a loss as in-state rival Kansas St. defeated them earlier this week. With all of the unpredictability of the sport this year, can we even project who the four #1 seeds are if the season ended today? (46:21) After a long All-Star Break layoff, the Edmonton Oilers were unable to match the 1992-93 Pittsburgh Penguins for the longest winning streak in NHL history as they fell a game short, losing to the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday night. The Vancouver Canucks continue their winning ways, with newly acquired Elias Lindholm making a contribution, as they're playing well above anyone ever imagined coming into this season. (50:45) With pitchers and catchers ready to report a week from now, there were two signings of note in the MLB. Royals shortstop, Bobby Witt Jr. inked an 11 year/$288.7 million dollar deal. And Jose Altuve will stay put in Houston as he signed on for a five year/$125 million dollar contract. Bruce's opening tip on James Harden and the tough start to his Clippers career 2:47 ... World B's opening tip is on Stephen Curry, who is playing great ball but needs some help 4:10... Ross' opening tip is a question to Bruce and World B on how they felt about Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla's challenge against the Raptors when his team was leading by 27 points with 3:00 left last Saturday.  Everyone thought it was kind of lame. 6:46 ... Bruce's Team of the Week is the Houston Rockets, who have won 6 straight games behind center Alperin Sengun 8:59 ... Ross' Team of the Week is the Portland Trailblazers who are remaining competitive despite playing a lot of guys with "zero" name recognition and without their two starting guards. 10:36 ... The next element in the Three Man Weave concerns Tim Hardaway Junior's candidacy for the 6th Man of the Year Award in Dallas.    He's tied for 3rd in the league with 3.5 "threes" per game. 40:30 ... The final element in the Three Man Weave is on CJ McCollum and how his absence has hurt the New Orleans Pelicans in the area of leadership as well as scoring. 43:38 ... The 2023-24 NBA season is upon us, but how can we possibly know what's going to happen? Real hoopers know there's one surefire way to tell the contenders from the pretenders, and that's the eye test! So tap in as I break down each team and tell you what I love about them, what I hate about them, and if they'll be seeing the Larry O'Brien trophy this year!  Let's talk about the Atlantic Division! The Boston Celtics have been Eastern Conference contenders for years now, but haven't been able to get over that championship hump. Is this the year Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown finally make it happen? Or will they be tripped up yet again?  The Brooklyn Nets moved on from their superteam experiment, but came away with a lot of nice pieces. Can new #1 option Mikal Bridges develop into an all-star this season and get them back to the postseason? Will Ben Simmons finally be ready to play up to his potential?  Jalen Brunson was even better than advertised for the New York Knicks last year. Can Julius Randle adjusted to being the second option this team needs to make a deep postseason run? Or will Knicks fans once again be disappointed? The Philadelphia 76ers are an absolute mess right now. Can last season's MVP Joel Embiid lead this team to wins while they figure out what they're doing with the always-disgruntled James Harden? Also, is Darryl Morey a supervillain?  We finish up with the Toronto Raptors! This team appears to be stuck in neutral. What's Masai Ujiri's plan moving forward? Are there any pieces here worth building around? The guys start with James Harden's public comments about the team's President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, from earlier this week. In addition to creating such a difficult spot for the team, removing all of his own leverage while demanding a trade, he's also permanently creating a legacy of off-court troubles after now trying to force his way out of a third team in four years. If Harden doesn't play for the Sixers this season, it raises some real questions about their viability as a title contender this year and going forward. How close does that bring the team to a potential trade request from reigning MVP Joel Embiid? He has already stated that he would go to another team if it meant winning a title, and now he's removed references to the 76ers from his social media profiles. Finally, the guys go through some thought exercises. First, they attempt to find silver linings and reasons for optimism for 76ers fans. Then, they dive into the multi-verse and give John a chance to play the role of Daryl Morey in an attempt to fix this mess.Check out the rest of the Yahoo Sports podcast family at https://apple.co/3zEuTQj or at Yahoo Sports PodcastsSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Celtics have pulled off the 3-2 series comeback with a dominant game 7 victory behind Jayson Tatum's 51/13/5 with 0 turnovers, setting an NBA record for points in a game 7. The Celtics have not always looked their best in these playoffs, but this game 7 showed everyone why Jayson Tatum is a superstar and what makes him truly different. The Sixers had some historic choke Jobs from MVP Joel Embiid, who went 5-18, and former MVP James Harden, who scored 0 pts in the 4th quarter and ended the game with 9 points. PJ Tucker scored more points in the first quarter than James Harden did all game... The Process does not look good in Philly, but the Celtics should now have an easy path to the finals. At the end of the episode, we brought on our friend Jordan Poirier to discuss the Celtics and how we feel about the team's odds moving forward. Denver is up 2-0 versus KD & the Phoenix Suns, but Kellen & Garrett think the Suns will win the series Lakers versus the Warriors... it's the battle of the lesser of 2 evils. If Steph wins one more he will pass LeBron as the best player in his generation NFL Draft thoughts Who won the draft? Eagles & Seahawks Who had some head scratchers? Your Philadelphia Eagles and Howie Roseman pulled off a coup during the 2023 NFL Draft. Not only in the draft but on the trade market, as Howie pulled off a trade for former DET RB, and Philadelphia native D'Andre Swift. The Birds had by far the best draft class, and now have restocked their RB room for only a 4th round pick. The Sixers prepare to face off with the HATED BOS Celtics, probably without their should-be MVP Joel Embiid. Rumors are it's more than a sprain, which looks even worse on Jacque Vaughn and the Nets for giving up on the series and going for Embiid's legs. Can the 76ers overcome the injury and make it out of the second round? Despite the 3-4 loss, the Phillies take the series from the HOU Astros, and make it 9 wins out of the last 13 games, and their 4th series win in a row.

The Phoenix Suns have steamrolled the Dallas Mavericks and taken a 2-0 lead going into Game 3. The Warriors and the Grizzlies are tied 1-1 after a myriad of flagrant fouls, emotions, and drama. The Sixers are in danger of being swept without presumed MVP Joel Embiid. The Celtics and the Bucks are in a dogfight after the Celtics huge bounce back Game 2 win.

Philly Sports Love and Pain

The past week has been an absolute ROLLER COASTER in Philly...and we're here for it...well, we're at least here to talk about it...lol | Sixers have their backs against the wall, missing the MVP Joel Embiid to concussion and broken face. | Eagles have a phenomenal draft and suddenly have an amazing WR room with the AJ Brown addition. | Phillies are driving people around here absolutely insane, and that's probably because they haven't watched baseball in 10 years. | Flyers are FINALLY done and have just now started looking for a new coach...what?! hahahahaha
