I believe that Cindy mentioned that some think the 144K is actual # and some think it represents many more.Chapter 15 introduces bowls of wrath & 16 talks in more detail about bowls Take us through chapters 15 & 16. On today's episode of Renew Your Mind we continue with special guest Cindy Miller and her bible study of the book of Revelation in chapters 12-14. On this episode today we are joined by Senior Pastor Paul Gruenberg, Associate Pastor Jeremy Touroo and moderator Dana Hall. Thanks for listening and we pray this podcast encourages you and helps grow your walk in the Lord! God bless!Ch. 12-14 Notes:Ch. 12 reviews human history. The 'woman' represents the nation of Israel, and the 'child' she is carrying is the Messiah. The 'great red beast' (v9) trying to kill him is Satan. The 'serpent' in Genesis 3 has now grown into the 'great red dragon' in Revelation! Ch. 13 reviews the 7 years. The Antichrist reigns during this time. The 'False Prophet' assists him. Christians, at all costs, must not take the 'mark' of the beast at the end of ch. 13. This is probably the reason most of them are 'martyred' in 6:9-11, the 5th seal. Did not cover it in the podcast, but I believe the 'mark' in some way includes the bar code. Every one begins and ends with '6' and has a '6' in the middle! Also, without the 'mark' no one can buy or sell. (13:17)"Ch. 14 is about the two 'harvests'. The first reviews the Rapture of 11:15. The second previews God's bowls of wrath in the coming chapters (15-18) of Revelation."Podcast Addendum/ correction:Jenkens/LaHaye are fiction writers of the 'Left Behind' series, not Biblical scholars. Thanks for listening and we pray this podcast encourages you and helps grow your walk in the Lord! God bless! Chapter 8-11 Notes: Chapters 8-9 are the Trumpets. The 'locusts' may be military helicopters or drones. Most saints will be gone by this time, martyred in Seal #5 back in 6:9-11. Ch. 10 may be a veiled reference to America. The 'angel' sounds like a description of our Statue of Liberty. Ch. 11's 'two witnesses' are referred to as lampstands and trees in v4. These may be two individuals who lead groups. 'Lampstands' represent churches in ch 1-3 of Revelation. `Trees` represent nations throughout the OT. The individuals may be Enoch and Elijah (neither 'died' in the OT). Churches may be Messianic Jews and Christians. Nations may be Israel and the US. This is pure speculation. Also, I believe that the 144,000 'sealed' Jews from ch 7 are one of the witnesses who are 'killed' in 11:7 after finishing their testimony. 11:15 - Then the Rapture, the climax of all of scripture, happens in 11:15 when "the kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord!" All dead saints are resurrected and taken to heaven. It is no 'secret'! v12 says that 'their enemies beheld them'. God always allows evil to believe it has won first. This happened when Christ died on the cross before He rose from the dead 3 days later.
