In this special segment, I catch up with Cindy Miller, whose incredible career continues to be recognized with two more Hall of Fame inductions. Cindy reflects on what it means to be honored by the LPGA Professionals Hall of Fame and how special it is to join an elite group of athletes, including Jim Kelly, Jimmy Johnson, Ed Reed, and Neal Heaton, in the University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame—where her induction makes her the 13th golfer to be enshrined. We also talk about her exciting new book, Take Another Shot: At Business, Golf, or Life, and the powerful personal experiences that shaped it, including her family's journey through her husband Allen's struggles with depression and a suicide attempt, and how they all overcame those challenges together. Cindy shares her thoughts on the negative influence of social media, referencing Lexi Thompson's comments about how much words can hurt, and how she overcame people telling her she wasn't good enough to play college and then she helped the Hurricanes win back-to-back National Championships, and how she wasn't famous enough to write a book yet here we are a couple of months away from hers being published.

On this episode today we are joined by Senior Pastor Paul Gruenberg, Associate Pastor Jeremy Touroo and moderator Dana Hall. Thanks for listening and we pray this podcast encourages you and helps grow your walk in the Lord! God bless!Ch. 12-14 Notes:Ch. 12 reviews human history. The 'woman' represents the nation of Israel, and the 'child' she is carrying is the Messiah. The 'great red beast' (v9) trying to kill him is Satan. The 'serpent' in Genesis 3 has now grown into the 'great red dragon' in Revelation! Ch. 13 reviews the 7 years. The Antichrist reigns during this time. The 'False Prophet' assists him. Christians, at all costs, must not take the 'mark' of the beast at the end of ch. 13. This is probably the reason most of them are 'martyred' in 6:9-11, the 5th seal. Did not cover it in the podcast, but I believe the 'mark' in some way includes the bar code. Every one begins and ends with '6' and has a '6' in the middle! Also, without the 'mark' no one can buy or sell. (13:17)"Ch. 14 is about the two 'harvests'. The first reviews the Rapture of 11:15. The second previews God's bowls of wrath in the coming chapters (15-18) of Revelation."Podcast Addendum/ correction:Jenkens/LaHaye are fiction writers of the 'Left Behind' series, not Biblical scholars. On today's episode of Renew Your Mind we continue with special guest Cindy Miller and her bible study of the book of Revelation! On this episode today we are joined by Senior Pastor Paul Gruenberg, Associate Pastor Jeremy Touroo and moderator Dana Hall. Thanks for listening and we pray this podcast encourages you and helps grow your walk in the Lord! God bless! Chapter 8-11 Notes: Chapters 8-9 are the Trumpets. The 'locusts' may be military helicopters or drones. Most saints will be gone by this time, martyred in Seal #5 back in 6:9-11. Ch. 10 may be a veiled reference to America. The 'angel' sounds like a description of our Statue of Liberty. Ch. 11's 'two witnesses' are referred to as lampstands and trees in v4. These may be two individuals who lead groups. 'Lampstands' represent churches in ch 1-3 of Revelation. `Trees` represent nations throughout the OT. The individuals may be Enoch and Elijah (neither 'died' in the OT). Churches may be Messianic Jews and Christians. Nations may be Israel and the US. This is pure speculation. Also, I believe that the 144,000 'sealed' Jews from ch 7 are one of the witnesses who are 'killed' in 11:7 after finishing their testimony. 11:15 - Then the Rapture, the climax of all of scripture, happens in 11:15 when "the kingdom of the world has become the Kingdom of our Lord!" All dead saints are resurrected and taken to heaven. It is no 'secret'! v12 says that 'their enemies beheld them'. God always allows evil to believe it has won first. This happened when Christ died on the cross before He rose from the dead 3 days later. The 'Restrainer' in 2 Thessalonians 2:6 is the 'man of sin' in v3 restraining Christians, not the Holy Spirit restraining sin in this world! He does not do that! The pronoun 'him' has been added to v6 in the English scripture. It does not exist in the original text! (See Acts 17) The Apostle Paul wrote both Romans 1:18 (restrain the truth in unrighteousness) and 2 Thessalonians 2:6 (restrainer). He uses the same word for 'restrain' in both passages. He meant the same thing! Not opposites! (Please see attached article.) All of the Biblical fathers, Josephus, Wycliff, etc., understood 2 Thessalonians 2:6 to be referring to the 'man of sin' in v3. Wycliff said in his commentaries that the 'Restrainer' was the Pope restraining true Christians!

In Part 1 of this week's show, I'm joined by LPGA Elite Instructor Cindy Miller and former Atlanta Falcons WR Brian Finneran. Cindy Miller was recognized as an Elite LPGA Professional & Instructor at the PGA Merchandise Show earlier this year. We hear about that honor. On the heels of the tragic news of Grayson Murray, Cindy shares the story of her husband Allen Miller who found himself in a similar dark place. Allen was a top Amateur player in the early 70s. He played on the PGA Tour from the mid-70s to early 80s. He competed in 5 Masters Tournaments. The expectations of his father always haunted him. No matter what Allen achieved it was never good enough. It led Allen into some dark places. He attempted suicide which led him and Cindy to the brink of divorce. Hear his story as told from Cindy's perspective. Brian Finneran was an All-American WR at Villanova. He won the Walter Payton Award for being the best player in FCS College Football in 1997. He was an undrafted free agent signed by the Seattle Seahawks. He played in the NFL from 1999 to 2010 with the Eagles and Falcons. Brian is now a Sports Talk Radio Host at 680 The Fan in Atlanta. I get his insights on the Falcons draft and our shared dismay at why they selected Michael Penix with the 8th overall pick. We also discuss Angel Hernandez doing baseball a favor by retiring, plus we hear about Brian's round of golf at Augusta National.
We are continuing the series entitled Redefining Beautiful for Woman the Image Bearer of God. Today we talk with Dr Cindy Miller about finding our value in God. Cindy has a doctorate in Pastoral Care & Counselling. She is a professor at UGST and hosts The Reflections Podcast.

In today's episode, I interview Cindy Miller, Principal at Cindy Miller Public Relations. Her career in communications and public relations has given her exposure to many industries and issues, which has led to a level of experience she can draw from to address new challenges. She started with an ad agency in Milwaukee where she was able to write copy, edit scripts, coordinate video shoots, and observe and learn from the best creative minds in the business. Regardless of the jobs she had, the highlights have always been telling the story. At Southern California Orthotics and Prosthetics, she was able to share the story of a man who was able to walk after years of immobility due to a motorcycle accident. She also had her fair share of addressing tough issues like student safety at Indiana University, or how farmers treat their animals on dairies. Some would like to think that PR is all about sharing good news, but sometimes you have to face hard topics head-on. Through it all - each challenge was met with thoughtful planning and execution -- all in the name of educating, informing, and communicating to the public.Know more about Cindyhttps://cindymillerpr.com/Connect with Cindyhttps://www.linkedin.com/in/prcindymiller/
