Project Red Cord Chronicles is a Podcast dedicated to raise awareness of human trafficking, while sharing the journey of our trauma informed programs and services. We are using it to bring hope, empowerment, and restoration to those whose lives have been ravaged by this crime. This podcast will shine a light on how innovative programs and unique outreach efforts are being used to empower everyday people to create a safe community. Overcoming hopeless situations IS possible. They helped create the Hands of Hope Banner, which was given to Whoopy Matewere, National Coordinator of The Eye of a Child, when she visited RJEC. The students explain what it means to them to be involved in this project and offer messages of hope to the children of Malawi, Africa. Don't miss this special episode of children giving hope and inspiration to other children. You will also learn how this program will grow to include storytelling, music and dance, cooking traditional dishes, instrumental learning, and eventually connecting the children to meet virtually.

    RJEC Medical Clinic Receives Funding to Expand Services

She was hired as a contracted nurse through a generous two-year grant from Three Arches Foundation and will be providing free screenings and assessments to victims of human trafficking and sexual assault. Jalisa will also be sharing information about the new mobile clinic services for street outreach, and how the RJEC Clinic will help educate the community on health and wellness through a variety of initiatives. We will start off by hosting our first quarterly Health Talk Workshop on March 11, 2023. These workshops will be led by a team of healthcare professionals and will cover topics such as nutrition, exercise, mental health, and disease prevention.     The Global Initiative was developed to share innovative ideas on how RJEC's treatment and outreach models can be used to fight the crime of human trafficking globally through teamwork, technology connections- webinars, conferences, virtual classrooms. Additionally, this initiative helps to  provide professional development opportunities for organizations, medical schools, etc to join forces and work to combat human trafficking worldwide. Listeners will meet Lisa Purdy, President & CEO- Council of International Programs and learn about their mission, programs and  unique Partnership with RJEC, including details on the internship opportunities with RJEC being offered to other countries by the Council of International Programs.  Lisa  has worked at Council of International Programs USA (CIPUSA) since 1997.  Under her leadership, CIPUSA has grown to an organization with five affiliate offices around the country that creates professional training opportunities and programs for over 300 people annually from countries around the world.
