Wednesday, 18 June 2025   And whoever gives one of these little ones only a cup of cold water in the name of a disciple, assuredly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.” Matthew 10:42   “And whoever, if he should give drink to one of these least a cup of cold water, only in a disciple's name, amen, I say to you, no – not he should lose his reward” (CG).   In the previous verse, Jesus told the apostles that receiving a prophet means receiving a prophet's reward, and receiving a righteous person means receiving a righteous person's reward. Stepping down another level, He continues with, “And whoever, if he should give drink.”   Here is a new word, potizó. It signifies to give a drink or irrigate, being derived from pinó, to drink. The word is similar to potabilis, the Latin etymological root of our modern-day word potable, a word signifying fit to drink. This giving of drink is next said to be “to one of these least.”   Another new word is used, mikros, little or least. It can refer to people who are little in society or within the family (as in the little brother of...), it can be used to identify the smallest type of seed, the smallest in stature, or a little in distance.   The gradations of authority thus far tell us that “these least” is not merely referring to little children, but to anyone who is undeveloped in theology but who bears the name of Christ –   Receives Me

STORY 2: Mall of Georgia Shoplifting: 19 Arrested For Stealing More Than $5K Of Merchandise In late May, Gwinnett County Police, alongside 11 retailers and the Georgia Retailers Organized Crime Alliance, conducted a two-day retail theft operation at the Mall of Georgia. The effort led to 19 arrests, recovery of $5,313.75 in stolen goods, and the clearance of 24 outstanding warrants. Officers also issued 12 felony and 27 misdemeanor warrants. Among those arrested were Demesha Brown and Jasmine Harris, both with 12 active warrants, including a RICO charge for Brown. The operation involved 19 officers from multiple precincts. STORY 3: AROUND TOWN: Annandale Village To Name New Program Center In Honor Of Adam Pomeranz This month, Annandale Village in Suwanee will open the Adam Pomeranz Program Center, honoring its CEO for over 20 years. The $8 million facility, funded by the Keadle family, includes a gym, art and music therapy spaces, and a 300-seat auditorium. Meanwhile, Britt Ramroop was named CEO of the Gwinnett County Police Foundation, bringing 15+ years of nonprofit leadership to support officers and community programs. Former Rep. A Stuttgart, Germany native, Eisele moved to Atlanta in 1965, opening Kurt’s in 1985 and mentoring many chefs throughout his career. Known for his dedication, he worked even on the day he passed. His legacy was celebrated with an elaborate 80th birthday event featuring dishes inspired by his life. Eight Clare projects have been awarded a combined total of over €806,000 of a Government fund designed to recognise the contribution of communities hosting International Protection Applicants and Ukrainian Refugees. Among those set to benefit are Bunratty Search and Rescue, which is receiving €86,000, while Tullyvarraga Hall in Shannon has also received €150,000. Upgrades to the Nature Park at the Maid of Erin Roundabout also received €100,000. However, the total figure granted to Clare represents less than 5% of the €22 million announced under the latest round of funding of the Community Recognition Fund.
