The energy she needed to step into wasn't about proving anything. It was about remembering who she is and what she stands for. I gave her a “pep talk” that I think every parent (and stepparent) could use before navigating a similar moment.It reminded me of 2020, when I stood firmly in my truth, even when it wasn't popular—refusing to let my kids wear masks because I saw the deeper damage being done. “You walk in like you would in any room. Today, I leave you with a quick download on how your childhood is still leading your life and making your decisions for you. In today's episode, I'm gifting you a behind-the-scenes of what it's like to be activated by me in private 1:1 work. Between calls, my clients have access to me on Voxer, which is a messaging walkie-talkie type system where we can flow back and forth in real-time. Sometimes, all they need is a transmission to get the body, mind, and soul back into alignment and on the path moving toward their wildest dreams. You will hear my side of the transmission. My client is a solo momma with a prosperous Law practice who just hired an amazing Mary Poppins of a legal assistant to elevate her business and life. On the back end she came down with the Vid and it was taking over her mind, body, and soul exactly the way it's intended to do. She had so many fears that the virus brought to the surface, but also it's part of the evolutionary process…when we have a major breakthrough and reach a point in our lives we've never been before instead of holding the frequency of that high we sabotage on the back end buzz kill. One of the things she was worried about was money. This is what the virus is coded for…to stir up our survival mechanisms and bring to the surface things that aren't even real for where we are right now. She wanted nothing more than to get back to work because she thought her business would fail without her there. She was worried about money, worried about not being perfect for her new hire, and worried that just being still and breathing means she's not serious about life. You will see how I walk her through the process and move her back into her body so that she could heal quicker and also alchemize the residual trauma and survival patterns still in her body. There's a common misconception that certain feelings are bad, negative, or wrong. Feelings are neither good nor bad but if we don't allow ourselves to feel them, compound them by feeling bad for feeling bad, or never process them to better understand them they become an addiction. You think you're not feeling the very feeling you're afraid to feel and yet you're always feeling the very feeling you're afraid to feel. Read that again. Our feeling create a chemical reaction inside of our bodies and like a drug they become an addiction. Our body needs a hit of certain feelings to maintain a "safe" level. This causes a heaviness--a density and we carry these feelings like heavy bags of burden and pass the luggage down to our children--generation after generation.
