Cette semaine, on se jette avec enthousiasme dans la dix-neuvième saison de Silence on joue et comme à chaque début de saison, nous devons jongler entre les jeux sortis pendant l'été et ceux qui font déjà l'actualité. On commence donc avec Mafia : The Old Country, quatrième épisode de la série qui explore l'univers du crime organisé. On revient ici aux origines, dans une Sicile magnifiquement modélisée (mais vide) au début du vingtième siècle. Ca parait ambitieux. Ca ne l'est pas. On continue avec le retour attendu de la Bloober Team après le très bon remake de Silent Hill 2. Avec Cronos, le studio continue à respecter à la lettre le cahier des charges du survival horror, mais avec cette fois un univers original convaincant. On part ensuite à la montagne avec Herdling et sa harde de «calicornes». Sur les pas de Journey, ce voyage initiatique avec plein de bestioles choupis est une réussite. A whirlwind of diplomacy whipped through Washington yesterday. Today, we're sorting through the aftermath of the series of historic meetings between President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a coterie of European leaders. Playbook's Adam Wren and Dasha Burns sort through the big takeaways, what really changed and what lies ahead for Ukraine, Russia and the U.S.

"God will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Revelation 21:4 In the stillness of the night, when shadows seem to stretch endlessly, remember this: every sunset is a prelude to a new dawn. "The Hope of Revelation" reminds us that hope is always on the horizon. As Revelation 21:4 beautifully states, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain.” Therefore, I believe that brighter days are ahead of you. In Revelation 21, John describes a vision of a new heaven and a new earth. In that moment of divine revelation, he saw a world transformed, filled with God's glory and love. Just as John was given a glimpse into the future, you too can trust that God is crafting something magnificent for you. When one chapter closes, it is merely the beginning of another, filled with endless possibilities. Remember, “What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to Christ that lies within us.”  Ephesians 1:18 says, "I ask that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you may know the hope of His calling, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints." You might feel as if you've reached the end of the road, but God is saying you're only at the beginning of a new journey. Where you see obstacles, I see opportunities. Trust that I am making a way for you, even when you cannot see it. Hold on to faith, for I am with you every step, guiding and providing for your needs. Do not lose hope — the best is yet to come because God is preparing a dazzling new day just over the horizon. Hold on to this truth: “Every ending is a new beginning.”  In every closing door, God whispers hope for beginnings that are brighter than you ever imagined. Therefore, I encourage you to trust in God's timing and the gentle nudge in your heart, for it guides you toward new paths lined with promise. When endings feel heavy, remember that every sunrise follows the darkest night — and in the quiet spaces between, grace is already paving the way for your next chapter. Amen. Psalm 30:5 says, “...Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning.” Amen. Prayer for the Day!May the Lord fill your hearts with courage and anticipation for the new dawn He has prepared for you. Trust in His plans, and walk boldly into each day, knowing that His grace surrounds you and His love lights your way. Remember that He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it. Rest in His promises, and let your spirit be uplifted by His unfailing love. In Jesus' name. Amen.

CMSgt Sandra A Scott is the Chief of Education at the Air Force Senior Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Maxwell AFB, Gunter Annex, Alabama. Chief Scott is responsible for the development and deployment of curriculum to educate 1,800 students annually on employment of military capabilities from a joint and coalition perspective. She advises the Commandant on the overall operation of a $12M campus and collaborates with three joint/sister service schools and four international exchange instructors on senior enlisted academic programs. Chief Scott enlisted in the Air Force in February 1996. Her background includes duty positions in Traffic Management, Technical Training Instructor, Career Assistance Advisor, MAJCOM Functional Area Manager, Career Field Manager and Group Senior Enlisted Leader. Her assignments include bases in California, Alaska, Texas, Oklahoma, Germany, Delaware, Illinois, and Washington D.C. She has also deployed multiple times in support of Operations SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM and NEW DAWN. 

We are joined by Rebecca Bailey-Harris (1 Hare Court) who was the first junior barrister for Mr Standish, and Sam Longworth (Stewarts) who was the lead partner for Mr Standish. Rebecca tells us that the five principles in the judgment are:There is a conceptual distinction between matrimonial and non-matrimonial property. In general terms, this distinction turns on the source of the assets. Non-matrimonial property is typically pre-marital property brought into the marriage by one of the parties or property acquired by one of the parties by external inheritance or gift. In contrast, matrimonial property is property that comprises the fruits of the marriage partnership or reflects the marriage partnership or is the product of the parties' common endeavour [para 47];That the sharing principle only applies to matrimonial property and does not apply to non-matrimonial property [para 49];Sharing  matrimonial property should normally be on an equal basis. Although there can be justified departures from that, equal sharing is the appropriate and principled starting position [para 50];What starts as non-matrimonial property may become matrimonial property; “matrimonialisation”.  What is important is to consider how the parties have been dealing with the asset and whether this shows that, over time, they have been treating the asset as shared between them. That is, matrimonialisation rests on the parties, over time, treating the asset as shared.The final principle relates directly to matrimonialisation in the context of the facts of this case. In relation to a scheme designed to save tax, under which one spouse transfers an asset to the other spouse, the parties' dealings with the asset, irrespective of the time period involved, do not normally show that the asset is being treated as shared between them. Rather the intention is simply to save tax. Rebecca and Sam go on to talk about what might constitute dealing with the asset and whether this shows that, over time, they have been treating the asset as shared between them, and how intention is a component of that test.  They discuss that the Supreme Court specifically disapproved of  Moylan LJ saying  “the concept of matrimonialisation should be applied narrowly” in the Court of Appeal.  Therefore, although the Supreme Court says in terms matrimonialisation is neither narrow nor wide, many of us are likely to consider the test is wider than we previously understood it to be.  Rebecca and Sam wrestle with the question of whether there will be a difference in how matrimonial property that has always been matrimonial, as opposed to property that has been matrimonialised will be treated. We finish with some quick-fire questions about how to apply these principles to scenarios that crop up all the time:Inheritances – cash and property;A property purchased prior to marriage;Business acquired prior to purchase.

“Bobby V” originally enlisted in the Army as an Airborne Ranger in January of 1988. After completing Infantry Basic Training and the Ranger Indoctrination Program he was assigned to the 1st Ranger BN Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, Georgia.  As a Ranger, he participated in combat operations in support of Operation Just Cause, Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In 1994 he was reassigned as a Ranger Instructor at the 6th Ranger Training Battalion in Camp Rudder Florida.He was accepted into the Warrant Officer Program in 1997. He attended Initial Entry Rotary Wing Training, Warrant Officer Basic Course and UH-60 Black Hawk transition.   After completing the UH-60 aircraft qualification at Fort Rucker he participated in combat operations in support of Operation Task Force Hawk deploying to Albania, Macedonia and Kosovo.In 2001 after a successful assessment and selection he was assigned to A Co. (Shadows) 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia. Upon arrival to the 160th he attended the Special Operations Training Course, Survival Evasion Resistance and Escape Level-C Course. He received his Fully Mission Qualification in 2002 and Tracked Maintenance Test Pilot in 2005.  In 2007 he was assigned to D Co. (Raiders) 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia as a Fully Mission Qualified Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot. From 2008 through 2015 he was assigned to multiple companies in 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia as a Fully Mission Qualified Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot – Maintenance Examiner, the Battalion Liaison Officer to Special Operations Command Southern Command, Maintenance Test Pilot – Maintenance Examiner.  In 2015 he was assigned to D Co. AVUM-AVIM (Dark wing) 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) at Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia as the Senior Fully Mission Qualified Pilot and Maintenance Test Pilot – Maintenance Examiner.
