The Dan and Joe Film Show

As 2022 draws to a close, join us as we discuss our picks for the best and worst films of the year.

We're back just in time for spooky season, and we are joined by filmmaker Daniel Stamm who tells us all about Prey for The Devil, released in cinemas today. We also review Halloween Ends and go through what other horror-highlights are currently available on streaming right now.

Welsh filmmaker, Lee Haven Jones, joins us to talk about his critically acclaimed debut feature, The Feast/Gwledd. We also have reviews of Jordan Peele's Nope and the latest instalment in the Predator franchise, Prey.

As we are just over half-way through 2022, we look back at the last six-months and pick out best, worst and hidden gems of the year so far.

We are joined this week by Rob Savage, director of found-footage horror, Dashcam, due out in cinemas June 3rd. We also have reviews of Top Gun: Maverick and Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers.

On our latest episode, we bring back our news segment and discuss the brand new trailer for Avatar: The Way of Water plus Hayden Panettiere's return to the SCREAM franchise. We also have reviews of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness and Everything, Everywhere, All At Once.

We kick off 2022 with a bang as we are joined by star of True Blood, Stephen Moyer, who talks to us all about his latest film, Confession, which is released on digital January 31st. We also review the latest instalment in the Scream franchise and Hotel Transylvania: Transformania.

We take a look back at the past 12-months of cinema and reveal which have been our best and worst films of the year.

This year's Christmas special is a Dan and Joe Christmas Carol as we are joined by Clare Brunton, Rachel Wagner and Ryan Leston who have picked a Christmas movie from the past, present and future to get us all in the festive spirit.

Our good friend and BBC Raido Wales' film guru, Gary Slaymaker, returns to the show to discuss Clifford The Big Red Dog and West Side Story. Plus we share our spoiler-free thoughts on Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Clarisse Loughrey, David Osgar, Emily Murray, Gary Slaymaker and Hamish Calvert talk their favourite Christmas films but it's only through a bit of fesive fun that we can decide which one we should all watch.

On our last show before our end of year specials, we discuss Mank, Hillbilly Elegy and Godmothered. Plus we share our thoughts on the latest news that Warner Bros will be releasing their 2021 slate on HBO Max.

Now it's December, it's safe to talk about Christmas right? We are joined once again by Rachel Wagner to discuss all things Christmas movies as we review Dolly Parton's Christmas on The Square, The Christmas Chronicles: Part Two and Happiest Season.
