We chat about her racing story, changes in the cars, her big hit at Varney, advice she has for women in racing and a whole lot more! * Small correction in this episode, McKenna confirmed she was in the Ladies of the Oval calendar in 2021, but she confirms it was actually 2023! Support our Ladies in racing by following Ladies of the Oval, and support McKenna by following her journey in the Great Lakes Legends series in 2024!

Hair! That's the topic today. Our Ladies wanted to keep things gay. Get ready to hear Max's story about a Mascott eating his head, a terrible attempt at an Australian accent and Leo's bowlcut.

Welcome to Roll to Meddle. We have a slight change to the show coming within the next week. We are going to be adding additional actual play episode to the feed outside of the Brindlewood bay focus. Brindlewood bay is the focus and will continue to be but, from time to time we have scheduling conflicts. The rearrangement of the feed will go like this: Season 1 will be everything Brindlewood Bay. We will continue the campaign, playing through official, unofficial, and experimental mysteries. The goal is to release those episodes weekly but, you know, sometimes we will miss a week or two. We are starting Season 2 of the feed. This is where the bonus episodes and non-Brindlewood Bay actual play episodes will live. The majority of those will have some combination of Mary, Holland and Willow along with a revolving cast of guests. Season 2 actual plays will have a lighter edit, and more often than not will be mysteries or at least mysterious. We intend to have one bonus actual play a month, running 1-4 episodes each, whatever makes sense. So, Season 1 and Season 2 will both be updated regularly, often within the same week. We think that by breaking these into seasons, your feed will be easy to sort and find what you're looking for. That rearranging will be done by mid-July. Right in time for the second half of Our Ladies of Safe Harbor, the four-part Dream House scenario, and the debut of our first for real sponsor with ads so Roll to Meddle you'll be surprised that they actually let us do this. Have a safe July, and we'll talk to you soon.
In this session, L, Carla, and C channel Hatonn, who begins by telling a story about a boy who was left on a beach. Hatonn likens each of us to a drop of water in the ocean of creation. Next, Hatonn opens the session to questions: What was the purpose of the entity that showed up on the mountain in Guadalupe? Is this entity and Our Lady of Guadalupe one and the same? Are the various “Our Ladies” across localities angels, wanderers, or some mixture of the two? Do precious metals help in healing practices? Is there a guardian of the Americas? This meditation can be found at https://www.llresearch.org/channeling/1981/1025L|L Research home page can be found at https://www.llresearch.org/home.aspxDisclaimer: This is not an L|L Research production. This time on The Weekly Hook, Rashaad reviews two of his favorite relatively unknown films to hit theaters recently: Michael Sarnoski's Pig and Our Ladies by Michael Caton-Jones. Through the discussion, we talk about going through the journey of grief, finding one's self through teenage sexual experiences, what it means to deal with the futility of life and many other topics related to the films. Don't worry, this one is spoiler free(ish). So if you haven't watched the movies, have a listen and see why you should! In the new episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, two films that took 30 years between them to get made. Batman (1989) was announced twice before it finally got going. Rewrites continued throughout filming - with a $100,000 prop to fit in - and there was a bit of a casting backlash. Our Ladies could have been made much earlier: but co-writer/director Michael Caton-Jones dug in, and refused to Hollywood-ise the story. Stories of both are told in this episode. Today we have a very special episode with the Women of White Horse as they present TEET- All Female Style. The recent scary steps being taken on abortion rights in TX have a lot of women in this country worried about the future of their reproductive rights. What else are women worrying about? Our Ladies stayed up late Monday night to record this conversation and discuss what is on their minds in our current chaotic times. LISTEN!!
After a week's break because Tosin forgot the recording equipment, we are back in Cinemas with Tosin recalling and revisiting childhood trauma with Candyman (never saying that 5 times in a mirror), Sharon rather offended by Our Ladies and Shaun very impressed by Censor. At home, tosin finds out what would have happened if Taken had gone the whole hog and been made in Ireland (instead of just having an Irish lead) with Bad day for The Cut; Sharon watches a Stephen King Update in The Stand, and Shaun watches Jason Momoa punch Big Pharma in the face till they change their ways in Sweet Girl. Is Netflix killing cinemas? Each week we weigh up what we've seen in cinemas with what we've watched online at home and figure out which provided the best time. At least, we did before COVID jumped in and declared Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney + and friends the winner. Paula Hawkins's novel The Girl on the Train sold 23 million copies and was made into a film starring Emily Blunt. Now she has written A Slow Fire Burning, a who-and-why-dunnit about damaged people trying to move on with their lives, set along the Regent's Canal in London. She talks to Front Row about starting with character, creating suspense, and how she reflects on the success of The Girl on the Train. Alan Warner's 1998 novel, The Sopranos, won the Saltire Society's Scottish Book of the Year Award when it came out. It has gone on to be adapted for the stage where it won the Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Comedy in 2017. Now it's been adapted for the cinema with a new title – Our Ladies. This week's Empire Podcast is a sad, sombre, reflective affair. Not because the Empire Podteam -- Chris Hewitt, Helen O'Hara, and James Dyer -- are particularly maudlin about the prospect of discussing the week's movie news, including the revelation that The Matrix 4 is now called The Matrix Resurrections, or reviewing (with the help of newcomer Katie Smith-Wong) Candyman, The Nest, Vacation Friends, Sweet Girl, and Our Ladies. And the interviews aren't laced with melancholy either, as Mike Muncer talks to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II about his role in the rebootquel of Candyman, while Beth Webb has a good old natter with Jude Law about The Nest. No, the reason we're all a little sad is that this podcast marks the final fling, the last hurrah, the long goodbye of Empire's outgoing Editor-In-Chief, Terri White. She's leaving Empire after six glorious years in charge, and to mark the occasion we dedicate the whole of an especially engorged Listeners' Questions sections to Terri, who reveals all about her favourite covers, her biggest triumphs, her future plans, and which Sylvester Stallone characters she'd like to invite to a dinner party. There won't be a dry eye in the house. So, naturally, we'd like to dedicate this week's show to Terri. As Jonathan 'The Duke' Mardukas once said, see you in the next life.
This week on Drama School Dropout I am joined by Karen Fishwick.
