When Al Pacino became obsessed with Oscar Wilde's Salome, he didn't make it easy on himself when trying to put it on camera. Salome is a filmed version of the stage production that featured Pacino as King Herod and Jessica Chastain (Interstellar, Zero Dark Thirty, IT Chapter Two) as Salome. Wilde Salome is a behind the scenes look at trying to stage the production. While also trying to make a feature film, or at least scenes from the play. Directed by Al Pacino, it took years before it appeared on the festival circuit. And then even longer before it was available to watch at home. To try an unravel what Salome & Wilde Salome is all about is entertainment journalist Emily Murray, who is one of the few people that saw the documentary on the big screen when it had a one-night-only showing in the UK back in 2014. Emily explains why she went to see it, how she was hoping for more as to why Al was obsessed with the play and what she thinks to Jessica Chastain's performance. All About Al: The Pacino Podcast is written, presented and produced by Mark Searby. Many of us have had experiences with bottling up emotions, and kids are no exceptions to this. Kids aren't as capable of properly communicating their emotions so when there's a backlog of feelings like frustration and sadness, this can make them act out so they can vent. This can be equally frustrating for parents too but it is possible to connect with your kids in a way they can easily understand. For this episode, I'm joined by Emily, a member from the Hand in Hand Parenting group and she will share with us one of their five listening tools for parents-- playlistening! Play is an important aspect of kids' lives and it can be used as a better response to unsavory behavior over shame and encourages you to meet aggression with affection. Hand in Hand Parenting has been instrumental in my journey to become a better parent for my daughters, and I hope this will help any of you having similar struggles so don't forget to listen in!   Episode Highlights: Playlisten as a form of connection through play There is a time to be silly and there is a time to seriously connect Why playlistening wasn't appealing to Emily at first Children are good and they want to be good Why play can be hard for parents The benefits of playlistening    Connect with Hand in Hand Parenting: Website | Hand in Hand Parenting Facebook | Hand in Hand Parenting Community Group   Are you ready to change your family dynamic through connective parenting? Changes proposed in the Bill threaten the viability of high-country farming for pastoral lessees. The Bill proposes to amend the Crown Pastoral Land Act 1998 and the Land Act 1948, to end tenure review and redesign the regulatory system to deliver improved Crown pastoral outcomes. But farmers say the Bill is poorly drafted, placing unreasonable limitations on day-to-day farming activities for pastoral leaseholders. Our guest this week is the wildly entertaining and talented Emily Murray of The Pink House. Her mission is to translate her sparkling life as a no- strings- attached London girl into a home that is now filled with a husband and two children.  But rather than write a blog about the ups and downs of being a mom, she decided to figure out how to create a home that hasn't forgotten who she is.  In doing so, she has embraced imperfection and small sticky hands smearing chocolate on the sofa. And so, after years as a lifestyle journalist for print magazines, she decided to start a blog about gorgeous interiors, all the while acknowledging that life is messy and never perfect.  And that blog, by the way, just won the very-big-deal AMARA Interior Blogs award for best newcomer.   We have been so looking forward to talking with Emily and you're about to find out why!
