The calendar changing to November means it is now Christmas season in the Chaps household, which leads to some pushback on the pod. The guys also go down their typical Costco rabbit hole in an attempt to either get sponsored by Costco or just become an all Costco podcast. You can find every episode of this show on Apple Podcasts, Spotify or YouTube. Costco has long been the gold standard for big box store food courts, with the $1.50 hot dog + drink being the The guys also discuss this year's Halloween plans, a crazy video game where you have to keep a suicidal baby alive, and Black Friday deals.
All 3 Podfathers are back together to break down the biggest questions in the parenting game. Is it okay to have sex while your kids lullabyes are playing? Should you plan a fake trip that you turn around from to scare your kids straight for future road trips? Did Large curse Alabams football by sending his son there? All very fair things to ponder before the guys rebuke a certain longtime gameshow host and break down more seminal days for receiving mail.
Large and Clem have the reins this week after a very eventful weekend that left Clem brokenhearted as well as hard of hearing. The guys dip into the nostalgia of the old toy catalogs sent around Christmas time, bid adieu to Angela Lansbury, think about which celebrities they want to see perform before they pass, and dive into the mailbag on how to survive a 16 hour car ride with your family to Disney.
That's right, someone paid less than $1000 to have their wedding catered by the big box GOAT. The Podfathers get into all that but first discuss: - Results of last week's peanut butter war (which can be found on the Barstool Grown Up YouTube) - McCartney becoming the first person to ever win the tokens hanging over the edge game from Dave & Busters - Large becoming a boxing ref and a parent concerned about sex ed - Clem is excited for the introduction of McDonald's Happy Meals For Adults
To put it simply, this week's episode of Podfathers goes off the rails. Clem's kids are running crazy while they are off for Rosh Hashanah, Chaps has his mom over, and Large is rebuking one of his kids for eating nothing but Subway for weeks at a time. At some point, the discussion turns to peanut butter followed by Crocs talk and potty training an 8 week old. I wish I could give you guys more info but my brain still hurts from whatever the heck just happened. So listen up and just remember, we are all in this together.
The Podfathers dive into the 2022 nominees for the Toy Hall of Fame which includes Bingo, Lite Brite, Nerf, and Pound Puppies. Some are voted in, some are voted out, some are rebuked. Large also talks about his trip to Vegas where he got to see Mick after a few weeks at college, Chaps is back on the Discovery+ train, and Clem bribed his kids into becoming Mets fans like any good parent would. With food and souvenirs.
Clem is about to plummet down the Poor Rankings after booking a Disney vacation. However before he heads down to Florida, he shares the tips he picked up before bankrupting his family while also getting some pointers from Large and Chaps. The guys also dive into Chaps' latest binge on Discovery+, Large's latest wild week of traveling, and more poop talk than anyone was ready for.
The Podfathers dive deep into the parenting bag to break down the best items for items for a garage freezer after Clem finally picked up a chest freezer for his house. The guys also embrace debate about a school baptizing 100+ kids without their parents' consent and which night is harder to sleep through; the night before the first day of school or Christmas Eve before rounding things out on Content Corner.
School is coming back and apparently so is spanking with paddles. The Podfathers embrace debate on corporal punishment in school, whether or not there are assigned seats at their dinner tables, dive into if it's okay to adopt only one of your new wife's two kids, and Large gives an update on the emptier nest at his home.
An episode of Bluey has been removed from Disney+ due to it being about farts. The Podfathers discuss what Bluey has to do in order to fight The Mouse. But before that, Large gives a recap of Rough N Rowdy with Frank The Tank and Duggs, Chaps was getting back to his southern roots, and Clem gives the house a much needed refresh.
The Podfathers get extremely fatherly this week with Chaps battling a case of hemorrhoids that can only be relieved by listening to the sweet sounds of a record player. However the big news is Large recapping how it was dropping Mick off for his freshman year at Alabama. He gets into the good, the bad, and the crying that took place along with the essential items that were purchased at Bed Bath & Beyond, which surprisingly hasn't changed much since Large went to college during the 80s.
Large however is losing his heart with his son going to Alabama for college later this week. Pop Pop discusses what it's like for his family going through this transition and if it hurts more than Canelo kicking his ass. Meanwhile, Clem is losing his mind now that the kids are home due to camp being over wayyyy too early. Large and Clem take the reins this week with Chaps having his Maine Man Weekend. The guys recap Large's dick being invaded to get a stint out of his body and the Clems visiting the location of the first Woodstock before diving into stories of a man that bought a sex doll that looks like his wife along with an airline trying to book a 13 month old on a different flight than its parents before wrapping up with a question about paying for photographers for big family events and favorite fast food pizza foods. Wow, that was a long run-on sentence.
