Tree of Life is a Messianic Congregation in La Mesa, CA which is in San Diego County. As a Messianic Jewish congregation, we celebrate Messiah and the Judaism He represented, where the principles of Torah are observed from the heart and not merely from the head. Since we believe this is a Jewish faith for the entire world, we welcome everyone who seeks to better understand Messiah and connect with the Jewish roots of their faith. Yeshua said, “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all people.” At Tree of Life, we are a congregation with no second-class citizens! You can find us online at www.treeoflifeca.org and on Facebook!

Join Rabbi Joel Liberman as he continues his message on The Law of Lift. How do we understand the relationships between the various biblical covenants? It's similar to the law of gravity which, is around us at all times, and is in effect, until a higher law - the Law of Lift - comes into effect. The Law of Lift doesn't NULLIFY gravity, but instead, causes us to rise above the pull of gravity. As believers, we operate under a higher law - the Spirit - of which the New Covenant is a ministry of. For more information about us, please visit www.treeoflifeca.org

The jolly Jewish holiday of Purim is celebrated every year on the 14th of the Hebrew month of Adar (late winter/early spring). Purim 2022 begins on Wednesday night, March 16 and continues through Thursday, March 17, (extending through Friday in Jerusalem). It commemorates the (Divinely orchestrated) salvation of the Jewish people in the ancient Persian empire from Haman's plot “to destroy, kill and annihilate all the Jews, young and old, infants and women, in a single day.” Literally “lots” in ancient Persian, Purim was thus named since Haman had thrown lots to determine when he would carry out his diabolical scheme, as recorded in the Megillah (book of Esther). Simchat Torah, the annual rolling back of the Torah scroll, is a time-honored celebration. The holiday of Sukkot is followed by an independent holiday called Shemini Atzeret. In Israel, this is a one-day holiday; in the Diaspora it is a two-day holiday, and the second day is known as Simchat Torah. This holiday is characterized by utterly unbridled joy, which reaches its climax on Simchat Torah when we celebrate the conclusion—and restart—of the annual Torah-reading cycle. Rabbi Joel shares information and invites the congregation to view, up close, the Torah scroll on this day and shares information about the parts of the scroll and their importance. For the story Rabbi Joel shares about the boys in the gas chamber, please go here: Dancing with G-d. For more information about our congregation please see Tree of Life

Yom Teruah or Rosh Hashanah (Feast of Trumpets) is the Jewish New Year and is "trumpeted in" with the blowing of the shofar. This holiday points us to repentance (changing one's way of thinking and being), to regather to God. The shofar will sound on the Day of the Lord when God gathers all His people from the four corners of the earth to Himself at the Messiah's return. Yom Teruah takes us into the days of awe as we seek Him and look at ourselves and what keeps us from Him. For more about us, please visit www.treeoflifeca.org
