The complete audiobook is available for purchase at Audible.com: voicesoftoday.net/THM A Theory of Human Motivation By Abraham H. Maslow Narrated by Gary D. MacFadden American psychologist Abraham H. Maslow (1908-1970) first proposed his “hierarchy of needs” theory in 1943. This theory outlines a classification system of universal human needs that individuals feel driven to fulfill in a prioritized manner, culminating in self-actualization.    Maslow structured the hierarchy to indicate that, before the next stage could be reached, the prior stage must be satisfied. While his hierarchy of needs is often presented graphically as a pyramid, Maslow himself did not use this symbol to represent his theory.

US psychologist Abraham Maslow's A Theory of Human Motivation is a classic of psychological research that helped change the field for good. Like many field-changing thinkers, Maslow was not just a talented researcher, he was also a creative thinker - able to see things from a new perspective and show them in a different light. He studied what he called exemplary people such as Albert Einstein, Jane Addams, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Frederick Douglass rather than mentally ill or neurotic people.
