Clothing/Accessories + Colors A: Hey, can I ask your advice about something? B: Sure, what's up? A: How do these shorts look on me? Do you think they suit me? B: I don't think red is really your color. A: Really? But I love the color red! Why don't you think it suits me? B: I just think that darker colors are more your style. A: Do you mean black? B: Sure, black, dark blue or even dark green. Darker colors are easier to pair with other clothes too. A: Oh, I get what you are saying. It makes it easier to match my shorts with the rest of my outfit if they are not too bright. B: Exactly. A: Okay. B: Sorry, I just mean there were a lot of questions that were driving me crazy, and I don't have nearly as many as I did before. That's a good thing. D: I'm glad to hear that. So what lingers? B: Still a ton of stuff. *pause* This is a bit hard, you know? I get it's your job, but sometimes I think even professionals will misinterpret what I'm saying, so I'm careful with what I let out. D: Totally understandable. Just remember that this is confidential, so even if things don't go as expected, they stay between us as long as no one is put in danger. B: Good to know. D: So, name something you want to discuss. B: Iwanttobecalmiwanttobecalmiwanttobecalm… D: Excuse me? B: Sorry, just wanted to be sure I was in the right headspace before I started. Is it wrong to want your husband to be around more? D: That...sounds like a loaded question. I take it you mean “more than he is now” and that there is some sort of barrier to that? B: Exactly. D: Does he disagree with you? B: NOT exactly. It's more to do with...outside activities. D: Are they activities that you approve of? B: I don't have a choice. D: There's always a choice; it's just a matter of consequences. B: Well, the consequences here involve the wellbeing of a whole empire, so do with that what you will. D: *pause* Heavy stuff. B: And listen, I'm so proud of him taking on this responsibility, and he does it so well and capably. And it doesn't hurt that he looks AMAZING with a crown on his head. I just… I want some more US time, y'know? D: For once when talking to a superhero, I DO know, quite well. How far would you say the scale has shifted? B: Oh, he hasn't packed on weight or anything. He still can bench press D: *interrupting* I'm glad that you're clearly still into him physically...what I meant was, on the work-life balance spectrum of his time with the crown versus his time with you, where is he on that scale? B: Hmmmm...maybe 75-25? No that's too harsh. How about 60-40. D: Your first answer was your gut, and that's ok. Intuition that's unrecognized can lead to dangerous emotional impulse. Your second answer sounds like what you would settle for. But tell me...really. What do you want it to be? B: The selfish side of me would say 5-95, and that's being generous. I just… we're newly married, our honeymoon was interrupted by symbiote dragons attacking the resort, and it seems like he can't make a decision without having to worry about some intergalactic treaty or alliance hanging on his every move. I love him, and I'll be his ride or die until neither of us draw breath, but I confess I did NOT see this as part of the whole “till death do us part” thing when I fell in love with him. So the simple answer is I don't honestly know what a good balance would be, but I know this ain't it. D: That may be one of the most mature answers I've heard in a long time. I'm not going to promise that those outside factors are going to change, but I can vow that it is my ethical duty to help your attempts at discovering a better balance each time we discuss it in each session. My only caution to you is to not expect things to just magically change. B: Except you realize who you're talking to, right? D: Yes, but even still- B: Iwantabetterbalanceiwantabetterbalanceiwantabetterbalance D: As I was saying, I know you want things to get towards total devotion, but the increase in civil unrest may be taking an emotional toll on your partner. Have you talked about that with him? B: Pardon me, but, I don't think it's THAT bad. D: Well, 25-75 isn't your perfect goal, and yet, the attempts on the lives of your fellow heroes must have led to so much anxiety. B: No, no, that's not - D: But you did say he was willing to surrender if it came time to save you. I'm glad that he has made it known how much he loves you. B: Iwantabetterkingdomiwantabetterkingdomiwantabetterkingdom D: You're clearly using your abilities to influence what you can. I've been talking a lot here. Rather than creating more stress for yourself, let me know, what's your take on your husband's pushback? B: *semi-robotic* I want the kingdom to be better. *normal* I thought I made that clear with the spells and the talking and I really thought you would have picked up on this by now oh my gosh have I completely made things worse oh no oh no oh no not again… D: Well, I usually don't jump to this in a session, but your anxiety appears to be through the roof! Have you considered other forms of relaxation, or a discussion on possible medication management? B: Sorry, sorry, I just had a bit of a freakout there...we were talking about acceptable balance. I'm willing to work at it the slow...the NON MAGIC way. D: No problem. 76-24 is not the worst I've ever heard in terms of a ratio B: WHAT? D: Just a bit of humor on my end. Usually the reality is somewhere between your gut and your partner's thoughts. I'm in no position right now to tell what the number is. Only you know that. B: Oh, so the things you said before, with what I cast, and the responses after that, it wasn't so bad I didn't screw everything up there's still a chance oh my god this is amazing! D: You're...welcome? I must say, for someone who knows a lot about things I couldn't begin to understand, you sell yourself short with how much you have in your control. B: Maybe not as much as you think, doctor. D: Ok then, perhaps we'll discuss how much control you have over the situation in our next session. In the meantime, enjoy that makeup honeymoon that your constituents planned for you out of respect for your personal lives. B: Whoa...whoa...then it really made a difference? I did better? I...nevermind. You're right. Let's leave it at that. Iwanttogototeddyiwanttogototeddyiwanttogototeddy... As you speak, catch yourself speaking as if there are two of you. You who had the experience in the past and you who exist now There is not two of you. There is not three of you: one who is in the past, one who is in the present and one who might be in the future. It is not there, but that is who you are functioning . You are the Presence of the Almighty NOW. What you are saying is valid but it sends energy back into the past, it sends energy and brightness back into objects. All that energy and consciousness cannot marry NOW. Because you are going this way or that way or that way But if you stop doing that and you discover ...to connect the resonance of the Knowing with the here and Now in your body , when you're able to speak NOW , when you're able to speak what you're saying NOW inside of you, you will have realisation..however that is ..it might e a touch, it might be total - either way it is going to be wonder-full. 40:04 So when you speak, keep moving towards not projecting what you're saying as if it exists in the past and that you existed in the past. You are Existence , Totality, NOW. And you have to keep bringing what you are saying ..like two wires that don't want to meet. You have to bring them together, fuse them together.. We think so outwardly, as if we're a subject to objects ..we are so out there and what we don't realise is that what we are is connected inside our brain instant. You can see this when you look at a baby, because they are so connected. There is no past or future . You can do that now. You make those connections..do that now but just let go of the idea that you're someone making those connections... If you wanted to taske bread and butter right now, you could without any bread and butter If you want to taste your favourite food right now, you can taste it right now. If you want to know our Love right now, you can know it right now. Q: And if you want to experience anything from the past you can experience it now.. B Exactly what I a saying...the whole point though is , if you want to experience your past right now, then that's a dimension of Now , called an illusion. If you want to experience your past as the light you are Now , that's perfectly fine. Have you go to that kind of mastery? can you zip in the past in the future up, down, sideways ..anywhere you go and you remain omnipresent ? Well then you must be quite a Beingness. If you can go in the past without identification, go in the future without identification you must be God. Because if you can do that and you're able to go into the past you can change the past. You can forgive those you thought you can never forgive and you can even forgive yourself. You can do that right now. Then if you can forgive others in the past, the biggest lesson you're learning is actually you're only forgiving yourself..fully ... You 're the one that mistook you for a separate entity. These are real fast track realities..that unless you live them and Of course what appears to be the outside world does not live this , will not believe it because the function of their brain ,their body-mind has not been calibrated in such profound truth - or simple truth or real truth. Truth for Real. You can't get there (What You Are) from here ( ..thinking you're somebody, having a past) Here is nowhere else but HERE and it is not of space or time but space and time appear in it. That's YOU: spaciousness. You can't get there from here means : identify with any thoughts or feelings in any space or time ..you will never know that you're whole. You will only know a separate sense.
LnR 116 (Casual Language) Desert/Dessert (Replay from 2 1/2 years ago) A: Teacher, how to pronounce this word? B: This one, with two s's, is pronounced "dessert". It means sweet food after dinner. A: Oh, like ice cream or chocolate cake? B: Exactly. As a matter of fact, that's what we usually had for dessert when I was growing up. Though sometimes Mom made us have fruit instead of cake or ice cream. A: And what about this word? B: It's pronounced "desert". Like the Sahara Desert in northern Africa. Are there any deserts in your country? A: No, but we have lots of hills and mountains. B: That's nice. By the way, please don't call me "Teacher". Use my name, Miss Buswell. But don't call me only "Buswell", because it's not nice to call a lady only by her last name. A: Oh, I didn't know that. In my language, we call our teachers "teacher" or "professor". B: Oh, I see. Also, it's bad grammar to say, "How to pronounce." You should say, "How do you pronounce". A: OK, thanks. I learned a lot with this question!

Do you love or hate shopping? People seem to fall into one of those camps. And how does your love/hate of shopping change when you get to do it online? Or does it change when you are shopping for cloths or for tools? All of this goes into our shopping patterns, and in this lesson we do it in Portuguese. A: Tá vendo? Esse estereótipo não é verdadeiro, os homens também gostam de fazer compras, só depende do produto.A: Sueli, do you accept the stereotype that men don’t like to go shopping? B: I don’t know, you know, in the case of Ronaldo, what he doesn’t like it to looking and end up not buying anything. A: Yes, Luizão says that he doesn’t like shopping, but he spends hours and hours on the internet looking for sales, comparing prices, and reading about details. B: That’s the difference, I prefer to window shop, walk around the whole place, seeing what they have, and finding something new. This is much more enjoyable than this thing of “studying the options” on the internet. A: But Luizão enters the store, buy something in two minutes, and then he already wants to go home. B: But you know, the other day I was at Sodimac with Ronaldo. He said he needed another wrench… A: And I already know, he spent hours and hours, happy as can be comparing everything, right? B: Exactly, after ten minutes I couldn’t take it anymore and I said good bye to him and when to another department all by myself. A: You see? The stereotype isn’t true, men also like to go shopping, it just depends on the product.

Brad Post, Create the Movement: Welcome to the next edition of our podcast. Josh Rich, Create the Movement: Yes, yes. B: My name is Brad Post. I’m sitting here with Josh Rich. J: Hello, hello. B: Josh, how are you? J: Doing well. How are you? B: I’m doing great. We are going to be talking about semantics? J: Semantics. And how it impacts overall SEO efforts. B: I don’t even know if I know how to spell semantics. J: I probably don’t either. B: That’s a big word. J: That’s why we do podcasts. We don’t know about spelling things. We just talk. B: Okay. J: So, semantics are kind of, you know, the devil’s in the details basically. And so, semantics, by definition, are just like those little details that typically people don’t care about. B: Okay. J: But, Google is starting to care more, and more, about these little details. B: Okay. J: So, we all know, like, keywords are important to have on the page. So, if you want to rank well for Christmas decorations, then you have the word ‘Christmas decorations’ on your page. But it’s also important to have other common keywords that are associated with Christmas decorations. B: Okay. J: So, you want to have this, kind of, like web of keywords, if you will. And Google is getting more, and more sophisticated, and they’re, kind of, starting to weigh the semantic keywords more and more. And so, what that means is that basically it’s just an effort to make the page ranking more natural. So, that way people can’t just stuff the keywords in there as much as they want. They need to be talking about things that are related to that keyword. B: Okay. J: So, take the example of Christmas decorations. You probably want to have ‘ornaments’, ‘hooks’, ‘tinsel’, ‘Christmas trees’, even ‘Santa’, or just different things like that. You know, like I said, this is just more, and more sophisticated, that way people can’t fake it. B: Right. J: It has to be, you need to have good content on your site that’s not just about one word that you use over, and over, and over, and over, and over again to be repetitive. B: Exactly. J: So, that’s kind of why Google’s doing this. And we’ve kind of seen this shift in placing a bigger priority on that. And I think that will continue as the search algorithms become more sophisticated. And the bots become more sophisticated. And we kind of see a push to, kind of, eliminate these old, black-hat tactics. So, the big question then, is how do you know if your semantics are correct? B: Okay. J: So, one thing you can do, you can check pages that well for the keywords you want to rank for. B: Okay. J: And just read it and see what else they’re including in there. And that’s what Google will do, too. They will look at the pages that have all the traffic for that keyword, and say, “Well, all right. What do they have?” Obviously, this is what people like. This is what people are going to. So, what are they talking about the other pages need to be talking about too? So, go to your competitors’ websites if you’re trying to write for a new keyword, or just improve your ranking for an existing keyword. And see what else they’re talking about. And, you know, it might even be worth your while to take one of those semantic keywords and maybe write a blog post on it. Or, even, just devote a whole page of content on there. B: Okay. J: Because that might, you know, it might help depending on the situation. It’s hard to make a blanket statement about that. The other thing you want to do is just get some actual hard data and some numbers, and there are some tools, as there always are, for this sort of thing. You know, our favorite is always Raven Tools. It doesn’t give you a ton of data, but it will let you know if you have, you know, any blatant problems. B: Okay. J: Moz has this as well. I can’t speak to that. And there are just a couple of SEO tools that are completely devoted just to semantics. I’ve never used any of them, but I think som...
Brad Post, Create the Movement Liz Montgomery, Create the Movement Brad Post, Create the Movement: All right! This is another addition of Create the Movement podcast. My name is Brad Post. And I’m sitting here with Liz Montgomery. Liz Montgomery, Create the Movement: That’s right. B: Liz, how are you doing today? L: I’m doing excellent. Thank you. B: Awesome. Well, we talked last week, kind of about, when a new client comes to us, what we look at. Right? What do you want to talk about today? L: Well, we talked about what we assess initially with them. So, today we’re going to talk about, now that we’ve gathered all that research and information from them, and from their online presence we see what reputation they have and so on. Now, we go, “Okay. What is the best way for us to create a marketing strategy for them? And what tools do we have to do that with?” B: Okay. Perfect. L: So, we’re going to talk through those. B: Kind of the marketing strategy. I think one thing about talking about their marketing strategy is there’s a lot of services that we can offer. Right? And those are…we kind of broke it down into seven different services, for the most part? L: Yes. B: Which are: websites (kind of their overall website), and I’m looking this up because. So, kind of the way we do business we have seven different things that we look at. We have seven different core values as a business. We have seven different services. There’s seven different colors in our new logo. And so, to kind of break down the services we have: search engine optimization, paid advertising, search engine marketing, content (which is blog posting), web design, branding, social media, podcasting, video development. I think that’s seven. Right? L: I think that’s seven. Yeah. B: And a lot of it depends on the client’s budget. Right? L: Okay. Yes. Definitely. B: Because, you know, we could offer them all of those services. And the next thing you know they’re like L: “I only had $30 to spend this month!” B: Exactly! L: I don’t know if I can cover all of those services. B: So, that’s kind of the first thing we look at is, and you know, let’s talk about your marketing budget. A lot of companies don’t really have that. Some of them do; some of them don’t. They’re just like, “I don’t really know what we’re willing to spend.” So, I think we just kind of look at that and, you know, offer the services, and base it on what research we did. Right? L: So, yeah, once we have an idea of their budget, then we can say, “Okay. Here are the seven tools that we have that we can apply to your online marketing campaign, or online marketing presence.” And then, we want to look at what the business is, and which services are going to benefit them the most. So, like for, get the most bang for their buck. B: Right. L: So to speak. Right? Is one type of business going to need more social media services, or is another type need more web design? For example, I think I said the other day, like a, someone who makes dresses for dolls. A doll dress making company. B: Okay. L: They’re going to want an Instagram, a Pinterest. They’re going to need a lot of image-driven content. So, folks can see what they’re creating, and what they’re making. They’re also probably going to need an online store, if they plan on shipping online. Whereas, like, and I’ve maybe used this example before, an attorney, who is like an aviation attorney, okay? And they get all of their business from referrals. So, different airlines say, “Well, we only use these ten attorneys for the service.” And they’re on that list. So, for them, because the CEO of American Airlines isn’t going to be looking for their attorney in the search results online, right? Or on Facebook, necessarily. They’re going to that list. Then we want their website, their money, to be invested in a beautifully built, engaging website. That the design is nice. The user interface is nice. And it’s getting all of the quest...
节目组:The Screen Age 荧屏时代节目名称: 007:spectre 幽灵党E: Hi, dear audience. Nice to see you again. Welcome back to the Screen Age. I'm Elisabeth.P:I'm Pearl. Py: Wish you have a nice week day, I'm Pyro.插曲:SkyfallE: So, it's another work in the 007 series.P: Exactly, it's the 24th work since it first released in 1962.E: In this one, the director Sam Mendes chose more attracting countries to make his movie. Such as Mexico, Austria, Morocco, UK and Italy.P: Sounds great. So what does this work talk about?E:Bond is back. He is in Mexico pursuing a hit man. He kills the man but not after making a scene. When he returns to England his boss M is not happy because C is trying to shut down the 00 network P: Wait a moment please. But who is C?E: He is a government man.P: Ok, well, what happened next?M: C is trying to shut down the 00 network and replace it with a new surveillance system which will essentially put an end to privacy. M tells Bond to stand down and he has Q inject him with a tracking device. Y: Q? You said Mr Q who is acted by Ben Whishaw?M: Yes. Do you know more about this character?Y: Branch Q, The Armorer Division of HMSS, has long been a position of pride for its head, which goes by the codename of Q. It is within this division that the cutting edge of British defense technology is developed and refined for the purposes of espionage.P: How intelligent he is! So, what happened to Bond next?E: Bond reveals to Moneypenny why he was In Mexico. He asks her to help him by getting some info on certain people. He asks Q to make sure no one knows he left the UK and went to Italy to talk to the hit man's wife. After talking to her he goes to meeting of an organization and when he's discovered they try to kill him but he escapes. M: And then Moneypenny tells him who the person he is looking for is and it turns out to be someone he knows. He goes to him and asks him to tell him about the organization. P: Sounds exciting. So does Bond made it?Y: He initially refuses till Bond realized he is in fear for his daughter so Bond promises to protect her. P: So it's must be another love story.E: I'm sorry to tell you it's may disappoint you. He tries to do but she doesn't want him around. But when someone tries to grab her he saves her. Finally she agrees to help him.插曲:200 BopPy: Unoriginal I know, but whether you like Daniel Craig as Bond or not, you can't deny he has been an integral part of the series' highest points. B: Exactly. Following the magnificent Skyfall, Spectre had some huge shoes to fill, and for the most part, it delivers exactly what you'd want. An attention-grabbing, tense opening fight scene, a lovely title sequence (whether the song is good is debatable), and an elaborate sinister plot surrounding James Bond that puts him up against his inner demons more than ever. Does it surpass Casino Royale or Skyfall? J: I don't think so, but as far as reintroducing the villainous organization spectre into Bond canon after more than 40 years, the film hits the nail on the head, pulls it back out, then slams it in even harder.Py: But spectre is revealed to have been affiliated with some of Bond's biggest threats - Mr. White, Le Chiffre, Raoul Silva - all under the control of one puppeteer, the head of spectre and one of the most iconic villains of all time, Ernst Stavro Blofeld. P: It isn't much of a spoiler, as speculation was rampant ever since the first trailer (and hell, when the name of the movie was released). What's important is its execution, and Spectre leaves breadcrumbs for you to follow all the way through the belly of the beast. F: For not only is Bond under SPECTRE's crosshairs, but MI6 itself is experiencing a merger led by Max Denbeigh who wants to eliminate the 00 division and focus solely on global intelligence. It's apparent early on that Blofeld has eyes everywhere.Py: while he works primarily in the shadows, he poses a looming threat to Bond because of his sheer cunning and a past secret that unravels itself when the two finally meet.插曲:Time will tellPy: Many parts of the film feel like a throwback to classic Bond. The icy environments, the car chase and gadgetry, the use of a massive threatening henchman, a train fight that is heavily reminiscent of From Russia With Love, and of course the modern birthing of Bond's greatest adversary. P: In my opinion, the acting all around is fantastic, with Craig continuing to impress as the suave womanizing secret agent. Thomas Newman turns in another wonderful musical score. But perhaps the most impressive feature is Sam Mendes' directing. The shots in this movie are absolutely gorgeous - the action scenes are incredible to watch and easy to follow, the landscapes are fresh and vibrant, and even the simplest of scenes - Bond and Blofeld walking up to each other for the first time - are quietly introspective yet palpably tense. E: Tension lingers throughout every moment of Spectre even when not much is happening, and the suspense is high enough to hold your interest for the full 2-and-a-half hours.P: Spectre is not perfect. Much of what happens narratively is predictable, and a few lines of dialogue don't go over too well, but that's just being nitpicky. E: What you want in a James Bond movie is over-the-top action surrounding the world's greatest spy who's up against unbeatable odds thanks to a brilliant charismatic villain, and this is precisely what Spectre delivers in spades. Py: Daniel Craig may or may not return as Bond, and if he doesn't, this movie would serve as a perfect send-off. P: But as the series constantly reminds us, "James Bond will return...," and Spectre is just another chapter in the immense story of everybody's favorite super spy.E: So, my dear audiences. It's time to say goodbye.P: Wish you enjoy our introduction and opinions on 007 Spectre.Py: 最后感谢制作王泽华。E:See you next time. Bye.P, Py: Bye.结束曲:Pacific Rim节目监制:高佳宁播音:刘思媛 王敏 刘逸超 赛碧乐 寿婧瑶 李梓彤 杨旸 李昂编辑:刘思媛制作:王泽华

Going to the movies is much more involved than it used to be. You used to be able to just choose the movie. Now you decide on 3D, fancy seats, assigned seating, apps to download, meals and treats, early shows, it’s much more involved. Still, the language you need to talk about what you like and dislike about the movies, you’ve got it in this lesson.DialogueA: Você gostou do filme? B: Não, pra mim, eu prefiro o conforto e flexibilidade da minha casa.A: Did you like the movie? B: It was good, but you know, I think that I actually prefer to watch them at home, you know? A: I know, it’s cheaper, and you can sit where and how you want to. B: Exactly, and it is so boring to suffer through 30 minutes of these previews. A: But don’t you think it’s cool to see the 3D effects on a big screen? B: No, for me, I prefer to comfort and flexibility of my home.
