They also cover the week's reprints, facsimiles, and collected editions, including Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman, Teen Titans by Geoff Johns, Justice League vs. Godzilla vs. Kong, DC Finest: Joker, and The Omega Men deluxe edition. As always, Jace and Rocky rank every book and each host gives their top pick of the week.

See we all think we know who this TEEN character is on Agatha All Along... but do we really? Seems to be a bit of a mystery and the way I see it we are looking at 3 strong theories, any (if not all) of which could be correct. Let's talk about it... Theory 1: Wiccan (William "Billy" Kaplan-Altman)[1] is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character has been depicted as a member of the Young Avengers, a team of teenage superheroes, as well as Strikeforce and New Avengers. Created by writer Allan Heinberg and artist Jim Cheung, the character first appeared in Young Avengers #1 (April 2005).[4] The character's appearance is patterned on that of two prominent Marvel superheroes, Thor and Scarlet Witch (Wiccan's mother), both of whom are members of the Avengers. Like the Scarlet Witch, Wiccan possesses powerful magical abilities which make him a key member of his superhero team.Theory 2: The Child of Agatha Harkness. Agatha Harkness is a character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby, the character first appeared in Fantastic Four #94 (October 1969).[1] Agatha Harkness is a powerful witch and one of the original witches from the Salem witch trials.[2] The character debuted as the governess of Franklin Richards and as an ally of the Fantastic Four.[3] She trained the Scarlet Witch / Wanda Maximoff in the art of magic.[4] She is the mother of the supervillain Nicholas Scratch. Agatha Harkness has also been a member of the Daughters of Liberty.[5] Initially an elderly woman, she managed to become young again and increased her strength.[6]Kathryn Hahn portrayed Agatha Harkness in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) live-action miniseries WandaVision (2021), and reprised her role as the star of the spin-off series Agatha All Along (2024).Theory 3: He's Mephisto (all along)! Mephisot is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Silver Surfer #3 (December 1968),[2] and was created by Stan Lee and John Buscema and based on Mephistopheles: a demon character from the Faust legend, who has sometimes been referred to as Mephisto. Introduced as a recurring adversary of the Silver Surfer and Ghost Rider (Johnny Blaze), Mephisto has also endured as one of Spider-Man's most prominent adversaries, being responsible for Norman and Harry Osborn's respective transformations into the Green Goblin and Kindred; and for the superhero's loss of his marriage to Mary Jane Watson, considering their future daughter Spider-Girl his archenemy. Mephisto has often come into conflict with Doctor Strange, Doctor Doom, Scarlet Witch and other heroes of the Marvel Universe, being responsible both for the creation of the Cosmic Ghost Rider and the descents of Phil Coulson and Otto Octavius into villainy.Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

In which our heroes talk about how bad an idea a bunch of white men in private rooms making plans for the world can be. Which is essentially the plot of New Avenger: Illuminati. It doesn't help that they are superheroes making the decisions. Then they discuss a sweet story about Muppets coming to America and then be forced to battle corporate forces that run the country as a group of freedom fighters. And they do take the gun from his cold dead hand.Survival Street Written by James Asmus Art by Abylay KussinovNew Avengers: Illuminati Written by Brian Michael Bendis and Brian Reed Art by Jim Cheung

When the Avengers are gone, the mutant population gets depowered, and marvel universe is in disarray, who will take up the mantle to defend the earth? Writer Allen Heinberg along with artist Jim Cheung established the Young Avengers who are not sidekicks, but instead their own independent Avengers spinoff team. They are comprised of Patriot, Wiccan, Hulkling, Speed, Iron Lad, Stature, Vision and Hawkeye who all have connections to the legacy of Earth's Mightiest Heroes. These young heroes focus on proving to the world and their mentors why they have what it takes to save the day. With these characters coming to the MCU in live action we go into detail about the next generation of heroes as well as how relevant this team is written for today.

In a somewhat chaotic sixth episode, Pie and Lulu revisit their superhero comic nerd roots by rereading Young Avengers. A teenage superhero team originally created in 2005 by Allan Heinburg and Jim Cheung, members of the Young Avengers have gone on to become popular throughout the Marvel universe, starring in team books, solo stories, and epic comic crossovers. Starting back at the first run and reading all the way up to recent months, we discuss one of the most bonkers family trees at Marvel, LGBTQ+ representation in superhero comics, and the difficulties of life as a superpowered teen crimefighter, as well critiquing what has or hasn't held up in the years since we first discovered these comics. Content warnings: discussions of drug addiction, sexual assault, antiblack racism, human experimentation, depression, and suicidal ideation. You can learn more about Never the Twins Shall Meet at our website. This week we talk about the prequel to the return of Marvel's first family, in Marvel 2-In-One (Vol 1, Issues 1-12 + Annual 1) by Chip Zdarsky, Ramon Perez, Jim Cheung, Valerio Schiti and Declan Shalvey. We talk about Big Blue-eyes and his hot head friend and their journey into mysterious alternate dimensions, as they try to find the stretchy fella and that vanishing woman who have gone missing since the events of Secret Wars (2015). We talk about Victor Von Doom and his new identity and how this book brings an underlining motif of one's need to reidentify in the wake of once becoming a God. All of this and so much more in this episode of Who Watches the Watchers!? Follow us on Instagram for the love of god: https://www.instagram.com/comicbookraiders/
