Eve Nasby is the President of Band of Hands, a company now in 11 states with a disruptive business model that helps small business owners manage their staff without having to worry about the administrative burden of being the "employer of record." She has over 30 years of experience in the staffing industry and is passionate about helping businesses succeed. 98% of businesses in America are small businesses-those with less than 50 employees. And (putting it mildly), staying on top of the latest rules and regulations (like California's AB5, Gig Worker Law as a recent example), is extremely onerous and time consuming. Eve experienced this herself when she owned a small business and struggled to manage her staff and keep up with all of the paperwork. In an industry that's so old and staid, BOH is poised to blast off! She states, "You've got to surround yourself with people that aren't 'Yes people,' that are going to challenge you, challenge the way you think, and challenge the way 'things have always been done in the past' . . . that's what I'd encourage all your listeners to do. Go to somebody that you wouldn't normally ask for advice, somebody that has no idea about your industry, go and ask them a question!" With white glove service and a team of highly experienced, SHRM-certified, HR professionals BOH provides employees on the platform with benefits, financial stability, and one 1099 (not 15 different ones at the end of the year) . . . never mind the tremendous number of benefits to employers once all the headaches are off their plate. This is an absolute game-changer, especially for the HALO sector. In this episode, Eve and Pete discuss: 1. How Band of Hands helps small business owners mitigate HR and other risks so owners can focus on their passion. 2. What advantages Band of Hands offers over traditional staffing agencies and payroll companies. 3. How Band of Hands created a seamless and flexible platform for employees to move between different employers. Contact Eve at eve@bandofhands.com 619-244-3000 to learn more and get started!
Season 10 of The Bachelor AU marches on, and it's another episode that's quite different to what we've been led to expect: Group Dates have been revamped, we're visiting the Bachelors' brand-new penthouse Bach Pad, and there's an interesting triptych structure to help us follow the action. We discuss the way the show is allowing the Bachelors to be less than perfect, unveil a fresh BoH conspiracy theory regarding some post-production trickery, and Max debuts his chilling new impression of Thomas Malucelli.
David Robert Jones (8 January 1947 – 10 January 2016), known professionally as David Bowie (/ˈboʊi/ BOH-ee),[1] was an English singer-songwriter and actor. A leading figure in the music industry, he is regarded as one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Bowie was acclaimed by critics and musicians, particularly for his innovative work during the 1970s. His career was marked by reinvention and visual presentation, and his music and stagecraft had a significant impact on popular music.Bowie developed an interest in music from an early age. He studied art, music and design before embarking on a professional career as a musician in 1963. "Space Oddity", released in 1969, was his first top-five entry on the UK Singles Chart. After a period of experimentation, he re-emerged in 1972 during the glam rock era with his flamboyant and androgynous alter ego Ziggy Stardust. The character was spearheaded by the success of Bowie's single "Starman" and album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, which won him widespread popularity. In 1975, Bowie's style shifted towards a sound he characterised as "plastic soul", initially alienating many of his UK fans but garnering him his first major US crossover success with the number-one single "Fame" and the album Young Americans. In 1976, Bowie starred in the cult film The Man Who Fell to Earth and released Station to Station. In 1977, he again changed direction with the electronic-inflected album Low, the first of three collaborations with Brian Eno that came to be known as the "Berlin Trilogy". "Heroes" (1977) and Lodger (1979) followed; each album reached the UK top five and received lasting critical praise. After uneven commercial success in the late 1970s, Bowie had three number-one hits: the 1980 single "Ashes to Ashes", its album Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps), and "Under Pressure" (a 1981 collaboration with Queen). He achieved massive commercial success in the 1980s starting with Let's Dance (1983). Between 1988 and 1992, he fronted the hard rock band Tin Machine before resuming his solo career in 1993. Throughout the 1990s and 2000s, Bowie continued to experiment with musical styles, including industrial and jungle. He also continued acting; his roles included Major Jack Celliers in Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence (1983), Jareth the Goblin King in Labyrinth (1986), Pontius Pilate in The Last Temptation of Christ (1988), and Nikola Tesla in The Prestige (2006), among other film and television appearances and cameos. He stopped touring after 2004 and his last live performance was at a charity event in 2006. In 2013, Bowie returned from a decade-long recording hiatus with The Next Day. He remained musically active until his death from liver cancer at his home in New York City. He died two days after both his 69th birthday and the release of his final album, Blackstar (2016).During his lifetime, his record sales, estimated at over 100 million records worldwide, made him one of the best-selling musicians of all time. In the UK, he was awarded ten platinum, eleven gold and eight silver album certifications, and released 11 number-one albums. In the US, he received five platinum and nine gold certifications. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1996. Rolling Stone ranked him among the greatest artists in history. As of 2022, Bowie was the best-selling vinyl artist of the 21st century.

B: "Oh, I'm beyond mad—I'm furious!"A:“他说的那些话你生气吗?”B:“岂止生气,我简直气炸了!” I feel beyond happy that my BFF is coming to visit this weekend!

Confession: I am not a wine lover. But my guests on today's episode want to change my mind about that. #MoniqueColeman, a certified sommelier, and #RobertaHatchett, a bohemian lifestyle curator, are the owners of VinBoheme, a wine and decor shop based in Washington, DC. I'll be honest, I walked away from our conversation with a greater appreciation for the “art” of drinking wine. It was fun and I learned so much. This episode starts with a great discussion and ends with a mini-wine tasting.About My Guests:VinBohême is based in Washington, D.C. and owned by two women of color. The concept of “Vin” represents our love of good wine and “Bohême” is the easeful home life we all desire and deserve. We offer select wines and accessories that make for a warm and inviting home, and feature women, BIPOC and sustainable/low intervention wine and décor makers. Each item is personally selected by us and can be found on our website vinboheme.com.Monique Copeland is co-owner and resident certified sommelier of VinBohême. She is also certified in food and wine pairing and enjoys educating wine lovers looking to elevate their palate with wine at reasonable price points. Roberta Hatchett has spent the last 20 years working in marketing and advertising and has decided to add entrepreneur to her resume. She's both an aficionado of wine and décor, but holds a special passion for making a house (or apartment!) a home.Wines Featured in Episode:2018 Scotty Boy Big Tang Syrah2021 Where's Linus? Though American Leather may be an unfamiliar name in the design trade, the company is a powerhouse of furniture manufacturing, with 800 employees in a Texas facility that's capable of churning out 500 pieces of furniture a day. President Veronica Schnitzius has risen through the ranks over two decades— as a young woman she left behind cartel violence in Colombia to come to the US, and found a role at the company, where she's helped grow its business by leaps and bounds. On this episode of the podcast, she speaks with host Dennis Scully about why change comes slow to the furniture industry, the quest to design an attractive recliner, and why manufacturing is like a symphony. This episode is sponsored by Loloi and Las Vegas MarketNext week, BOH editors will be on the show to recap an eventful year.

Andrew Choi and Patrick Bouaphahn are the Co-Owners of Jinei Motto, a restaurant/bar in Chicago. Andrew is FOH while Patrick is BOH. Andrew Choi moved around a lot as a youth because he had parents in the military, but in 2015, when he was 14, he landed in Chicago. Andrew had his first job in the restaurant industry at Sushi Dock, where he and Patrick first met. Andrew and Patrick became good friends there, and were eventually let go for drinking on the job together. Andrew then moved on to FOH work at Bohemian House in Chicago and stayed there only for 6 months before working with Patrcik again at Union Sushi. Soon after leaving the restaurant industry COVID happened and Andrew decided to team up with Patrick to create Jinsei Motto, which exists inside an existing distillery, called C.H. Distillery. Jinsei Motto and C.H. Distillery are two separate entities operating out of the same space. Show notes… Calls to ACTION!!! Join Restaurant Unstoppable Network and get your first 30 days on me! French-Canadian baritone Etienne Dupuis is a big fan of television, especially Ted Lasso. So much so that he's adapted a key phrase from the comedy-meets-philosophy series — "Football is life!" — as a mantra to stoke people's interest in opera. "Now I always say, 'Opera is life!'" Dupuis shares on the latest episode of the Classical Post podcast. "Bohème, Barber of Seville, Marriage of Figaro, they just feel so close to life sometimes. Opera allows us to emotionally connect together." For Dupuis, building a larger fan base for opera means showing people that a night at the opera isn't about wearing the fanciest dress or worrying about clapping at a "wrong" moment — it's about taking part in a shared emotional experience. "If you're so sad that you're in tears or so happy and elated that you want to stand up and clap and yell bravo, it's noble to feel that way, it's part of the experience. I always say opera should be as close to the human experience as it can be." In this discussion, Dupuis talks more about how opera can return to its 17th-century roots as a relaxed social event everyone could enjoy, and what's on tap for him this season — including singing the title role in John Adams's The Death of Klinghoffer with the composer himself on the podium. Plus, he shares the ways brainstorming and synergy can lead to creative breakthroughs, why Fisherman's Friend lozenges are in fact a singer's best friend, and where to find the best pork buns in New York City. — Classical Post uncovers the creativity behind exceptional music. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
