Misogynoir is defined as the specific hatred, dislike, distrust, and prejudice directed toward Black women. Misogynoir comes in many forms and much like racism and homophobia, the hatred people belonging to this targeted group is not always overt. Jordan, even though they're wearing the same "male" suit. And Lil' Nas X, among others, is playing with the fashion boundaries by donning one or two dangly earrings. However, if we're are honest with ourselves, testing the boundaries of fashion limits can be seen throughout history. Beginning in the '20s where women challenged the standards of hem length with their skirts, then again with Prince's crop top era and overall challenging of the status quo, all the way to Dennis Rodman bizarre clothing and style choices that many athletes today emulate. | Sermon by Pastor Kim Buckman | There are two sacraments that are very consistent across most Christian denominations. Communion, remembering the sacrifice of Jesus through his broken body and bloodshed, is a very important part of your faith. The second sacrament is being baptized in water. This is a symbol of the place that Jesus took for us on the cross–a place that we deserved to take ourselves, but His Love was greater than our sin.
