In this special episode, recorded at the Neukom Center's Rule of Law Speaker Series, Judge J. Michael Luttig, former Fourth Circuit judge and ex-General Counsel of Boeing,  discusses a looming constitutional crises facing the United States. Drawing on Lincoln, Paine, and Churchill, Judge Luttig argues that the Trump administration's actions represent not the exploitation of constitutional vulnerabilities, but unconstitutional conduct that federal courts have repeatedly struck down. He expresses particular alarm over the Supreme Court's use of the shadow docket to stay lower court decisions without briefing, argument, or written reasoning — a practice he characterizes as a crisis within the Court itself. Judge Luttig also addresses the DOJ's institutional corruption, Congress's abdication of war powers and tariff authority, and the Supreme Court's sweeping immunity ruling in Trump v. United States. Throughout, he challenges law students to treat their professional oath as a solemn civic obligation in a moment of national testing. Links: Honorable J. In this episode of Passing Judgment, Jessica Levinson is joined by Josh Gerstein from Politico, they explore accusations of conspiring to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, recent appeals, and the constitutional questions of prosecuting a sitting president. The episode highlights the Georgia Court of Appeals' decision to pause the case, logistical and legal complexities if Trump were to face jail time, and the broader implications for presidential power. Historical cases like Clinton v. Jones are referenced.2️⃣ Trump's Legal Troubles and Sentencing Complexities: Trump's legal issues are detailed, including complications stemming from his behavior during trials, contempt issues, and potential sentencing challenges, especially given his status as a former president.3️⃣ Transition Strategies of the Biden Administration: Potential strategic moves by the Biden administration to solidify policies before a Trump reentry, such as issuing pardons and "midnight regulations," are contemplated.Follow Our Host and guest: @LevinsonJessica@Joshgerstein

As American voters go to the polls, all indications point to a statistical dead-heat between vice president and Democratic Party nominee Kamala Harris and former Republican president Donald Trump. The outcome will likely turn on tens of thousands of voters in a handful of key swing states. According to leading pollsters and polling aggregators, the race in these states is too close to call.In this hotly contested race, one demographic whose political preferences are much discussed, though less studied, is Indian Americans. A new study, the 2024 Indian American Attitudes Survey (IAAS), tries to fill this gap. The IAAS is a nationally representative online survey conducted by the Carnegie Endowment in conjunction with data and analytics firm YouGov. The report is authored by Sumitra Badrinathan of American University, Devesh Kapur of Johns Hopkins-SAIS, and Grand Tamasha host Milan Vaishnav. This week on the show, Milan speaks with Sumitra and Devesh about the main findings of their new report and what they portend for the election as well as future political trends in the United States.Episode notes:1. It has been more than three months since the conclusion of India's massive 2024 general elections. And it is no exaggeration to say that the results of the election caught many, if not most, election observers by surprise. To many, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) appeared invincible in national elections especially given the widespread popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. And yet, the party suffered a significant setback, emerging as the single largest party but well short of a parliamentary majority. So, what actually happened in these elections? How can we understand the BJP's surprising showing? Has the Modi magic dissipated? And is Rahul Gandhi the new standard bearer of change? To discuss these and many other questions, Milan is joined on the show this week by Sanjay Kumar. Sanjay is Professor at the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies in New Delhi and co-director of Lokniti, India's premier public opinion research organization. Since 1996, Lokniti has carried out a National Election Study after every general election, creating a unique repository of knowledge on the political and social attitudes of the Indian citizen. On the show, Milan and Sanjay discuss the key findings from this year's National Election Study. They talk about the resonance of the INDIA alliance's campaign, divergent outcomes in the Hindi belt, Modi's declining popularity, and the emerging realignment in southern politics. Plus, the two discuss the reasons for India's exit poll debacle.Episode notes:1. Live from the Heart of America—I'm Steve Gruber— Your Soldier of Truth—the Tip of the Spear against socialists—here ready to fight for you from the Foxhole of Freedom—AND—REMEMBER TO THINK while its still legal—this is the Steve Gruber Show—   Here are 3 big things you need to know right now—   Number One— The Vegan craze is dying on the vine it appears—as Beyond Meat the fake meat product that was all the rage—is plummeting in sales—down 31%--   Number Two— How about your Bidenomics update for today—here is a shocking number—Credit Card Debt in America has soared over $1 Trillion dollars for the first time ever—and that is not a good sign for the economy—   Number Three— Is there actual proof of large scale voter fraud in Michigan just before the 2020 Presidential Election—well according to one controversial on-line publication The Gateway Pundit in a HUGE EXCLUSIVE headline—claims they have got the smoking gun—BUT is that true?   In the article that dropped yesterday the Headline declared:   NOW WE HAVE THE PROOF! TGP EXCLUSIVE: Massive 2020 Voter Fraud Uncovered in Michigan- Police Find: TENS OF THOUSANDS of Fake Registrations, Bags of Pre-Paid Gift Cards, Guns with Silencers, Burner Phones, and a Democrat-Funded Organization with Multiple Temporary Facilities in several states—   According the article it all begins on October 8, 2020—a month before the election when it claims Muskegon City Clerk Ann Meisch noticed a black female dropping off around 8,000 to 10,000 completed voter registration forms at the same time—and that for the most part they looked the same—similar signatures and bogus addresses stuck out to her according to the report—prompting her to call the police a few days later to launch an investigation—   In the report—it states that later—on October 21st—First Lt. Mike Anderson of the Muskegon PD was contacted by Tom Fabus in Attorney General Dana Nessels office—that according to a Michigan State Police report—and according to that same report Fabus asked for the Michigan State Police and Muskegon Police to conduct a joint investigation—   Meisch told investigators that the quantity of voter registration forms were highly suspicious and possibly fraudulent—   She further stated that phone numbers, addresses and signatures all looked to be wrong—and nothing appeared to match—   According to the Gateway Pundit report—the company behind the push to deliver the voter registration forms was a company called GBI strategies that operates in several states and here is where it gets really shocking—   Police conducted a raid on GBI offices in Southfield and Auburn Hills and what they found was shocking— police apparently found Dozens of new phones, Hundreds of pre-payment cards—plus numerous semi-automatic rifles with suppressors and optics plus handguns too—One Pelican case had 4 rifles and 4 pistols according to what was published—   The woman who dropped off the applications—was found and told police she was paid $1150 a week to collect voter registration forms in the Muskegon area—   However before the investigation was completed it was turned over to the FBI—and so far we have not heard anything about this—   So what do these police reports mean—will it mean that when Donald Trump is on trial for alleging voter fraud in Michigan and around the nation—that some of this material could be put forth as evidence—Maybe—   Could it lead to FOIA requests for other news outlets to begin the job of digging deeper—again—maybe but that is more likely of course—and does it indicate a wider pattern of abuse and fraud—well you certainly have to wonder—   Of course I can not vouch for the veracity of the published report—not yet—BUT it appears that all of the information collected and released so far is on the money—   One person that seems to have a clear idea of what happened won't surprise you at all—   No surprise there, I will of course stay on top of it—   In another series of videos on the internet calling into question what we have all been told about a major series of events—it appears there are clips of police officers preparing for and then going undercover on January 6th 2021—to appear as members of Antifa among other things—so lets dig into that for a moment—   And one more thing—if Donald Trump is being charged for political speech—don't you think maybe he is being singled out unfairly?

GUEST: Dinesh D'Souza, Filmmaker, 2000 MulesAfter watching Dinesh D'Souza's new documentary film 2000 Mules that shows clear and widespread evidence of voting fraud in the 2020 presidential election, the only rational, beyond-a-reasonable-doubt conclusion is: Joe Biden won the election through criminal and fraudulent means. In other words, Donald Trump should be the current president. How did this fraud take place? Consider this quote from an official website of the government:The COVID-19 pandemic led to a variety of changes in voting methods across the country in 2020, and the ways people could cast ballots varied widely from state to state. In the 2020 election, 69% of voters nationwide cast their ballot nontraditionally — by mail and/or before Election Day. This is the highest rate of nontraditional voting for a presidential election…Many states maintained traditional voting procedures, but some expanded early voting, and others automatically sent all registered voters a ballot that could be returned by mail.Millions of unrequested ballots were sent to those on voting rolls, filled out, and then placed in drop boxes throughout cities and towns before election day. What could go wrong? A lot. Please join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview as Dinesh D'Souza, filmmaker of the must-see new documentary 2000 Mules, joins us to provide evidence—including video and cell phone geo tracking data—of how the crime of the century took place.RELATED RESOURCES: 2000 Mules is showing in theaters nationwide this weekend.
