One of the misconceptions about Christianity is that by becoming more Christ-like we have to give up our individualism. Nothing can be further from the truth. The body of Christ has to be unified, but that body has many different parts that serve many different purposes. God wants us to be more of ourselves, and that happens by not conforming to the world but transforming ourselves to Christ.
Hollywood is full of people who have all worldly possessions but still have a spiritual need for Christ Many of the same desperate issues facing Americans today were faced by the youth of the 1970s right before a major revival took place Your movie ticket is like your vote - Hollywood studios will make whatever brings in money, therefore, support only uplifting filmsChristians should lead the country in terms of showing the culture how to love one another and getting to know people outside their circle

What does it really mean to follow Christ-- Many in the church have regulated Jesus to the outside. Jesus has become background music.-I. Crisis-Simon fished all night, they caught nothing. Jesus tells Peter to cast the nets where he was. This was a crisis for Peter. He opts to follow Jesus-all things are possible with God.--II. Conviction-Jesus told Peter where to cast the nets and they caught enough for 2 boats. Supernatural, you must confront Jesus as God.--III. Comfort-Do not be afraid. Are we afraid of God -Jehovah--- We must take Him at His word----IV. Commissions-Jesus enlists us in His service-here He enlists Peter. Jesus has an object lesson, He is pointing to something.--V. Comittmentent -Front and center-He is apart of our lives. We love because He first loved us. We are found like a treasure.

What would you give up for a relationship with Christ- Many people have given up everything that the world values, including their lives, in the pursuit of the Great Commission and the Gospel. What we will see today is what Abram sacrificed for maintaining faith in God.
MY SONS FIGHT WITH SATAN For those of you who do not believe that spiritual warfare is real. It is indeed for real, today I had a frightening experience my son had a seizure that came out of nowhere. In the process of that seizure, he was very combative very argumentative very vulgar in his language. But when I told Satan my son will resist him and resists him in the name of Jesus Christ, his voice changed his eyes appear to be bloodshot and I am certain I was not hallucinating every time I called out on the name of Jesus and God for strength for Willie to resist Satan Willie got even more aggressive, he was kicking and biting me? Zechariah 3:2 tells us that it is the Lord who rebukes Satan. Even Michael, one of the most powerful of the angels, did not dare to accuse Satan, but rather said, "The Lord rebuke you" (Jude 1:9). In response to Satan's attacks, a Christian should appeal to Christ. Instead of focusing on defeating the devil, we should focus on following Christ (Hebrews 12:2) and trust that He will defeat the forces of evil. I want Christians to understand; It is not necessary for a Christian to rebuke Satan because God has given us His full armor to stand against evil (see Ephesians 6:10-18). The most effective weapons we have against the devil are our faith, wisdom, and knowledge about God and His Word. Christ, when tempted by Satan, answered him with Scripture (see Matthew 4:1-11). To gain victory in spiritual matters, we must maintain a clear conscience and have control over our thoughts. "For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). I am just thankful that I was nearby a when I got to the hospital, he was still combative cursing all nurses and security personnel witness all his kicking and screaming that as well, so they decide to call 911 in the police arrived he was still being combative it took three police officers you get him out the car. then at that time they were even struggling with him to get him out of the car and he was cursing them as well calling them names, but by the grace of God, I do know that when it's a medical situation such as this a medical assistant by the police that they would not able to arrest him because it was a medical situation but they did write down a case number or a case File in case it is ever needed if for me. I normally carry blessed oil in my car today I did not. but I think that was a wake-up call for me to always have a blessed oil in my car. but I'm thankful that I had a guardian angel with me, and I had a multitude of angels around me, And the blood of Jesus Christ upon me. because he grabbed the steering wheel and I was not able to turn my vehicle because of how hard he was holding it and he was holding the steering wheel with only one hand and I was using two hands trying to turn the car and believe me I'm not small I'm not a small person. I was doing my best to be calm. and I thank God that I was able to get him to release that steering wheel when I started resiting saying this and Satan you are a liar you cannot have him. and we were able to get to the hospital safely. My major concern was my PTSD that it would kick in. I am not going to lie to anyone. I was thanking God that my PTSD did not get triggered. because honestly, I do not know what I would have done. because of that seizure that he had today what is scary did I just want people to know that if you pick up the word of God you will see demons and spiritual warfare is real. but we are to resist Satan through Jesus Christ: Resist the devil and he will flee from you!” James 4:7. “And the God of peace will crush Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.” Romans 16:20. Clearly, God has allowed Satan significant amounts of power and influence over the earth, at least for now, and always within God's sovereign control. The Bible tells us that Satan prowls around like a lion in search of prey, looking for victims to devour (1 Peter 5:8). Satan is the power at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God (Ephesians 2:2). Anyone who is not under the control of the sovereign God is under the control of the devil (Acts 26:18; 2 Corinthians 4:4). Born-again Christians are no longer enslaved to Satan or to sin (Romans 6:6-7), but this does not mean we are not immune to the temptations that he puts before us. Demons are fallen angels, as Revelation 12:9 indicates: “The great dragon was hurled down—that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray. He was hurled to the earth, and his angels with him.” Satan's fall from heaven is symbolically described in Isaiah 14:12–15 and Ezekiel 28:12–15. When he fell, Satan took some of the angels with him—one-third of them, according to Revelation 12:4. Jude 6 also mentions angels who sinned. So, biblically, demons are fallen angels who, along with Satan, chose to rebel against God. Some of the demons are already locked “in darkness, bound with everlasting chains” (Jude 1:6) for their sin. Others are free to roam and are referred to as “the powers of this dark world and . . . the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” in Ephesians 6:12 (cf. Colossians 2:15). The demons still follow Satan as their leader and do battle with the holy angels in an attempt to thwart God's plan and hinder God's people (Daniel 10:13). Demons, as spirit beings, have the ability to take possession of a physical body. Demonic possession occurs when a person's body is completely controlled by a demon. This cannot happen to a child of God, since the Holy Spirit resides in the heart of the believer in Christ (1 John 4:4). Jesus, during His earthly ministry, encountered many demons. Of course, none of them were a match for the power of Christ: “Many who were demon-possessed were brought to him, and he drove out the spirits with a word” (Matthew 8:16). Jesus' authority over the demons was one of the proofs that He was indeed the Son of God (Luke 11:20). The demons who encountered Jesus knew who He was, and they feared Him: “‘What do you want with us, Son of God?' [the demons] shouted. ‘Have you come here to torture us before the appointed time?'” (Matthew 8:29). The demons know their end will be one of torment. Satan and his demons now look to destroy the work of God and deceive anyone they can (1 Peter 5:8; 2 Corinthians 11:14–15). The demons are described as evil spirits (Matthew 10:1), unclean spirits (Mark 1:27), lying spirits (1 Kings 22:23), and angels of Satan (Revelation 12:9). Satan and his demons deceive the world (2 Corinthians 4:4), promulgate false doctrine (1 Timothy 4:1), attack Christians (2 Corinthians 12:7; 1 Peter 5:8), and combat the holy angels (Revelation 12:4–9). The demons/fallen angels are enemies of God, but they are defeated, enemies. Christ has “disarmed the powers and authorities,” and He has “made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross” (Colossians 2:15). As we submit to God and resist the devil, we have nothing to fear. “The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world” (1 John 4:4). Please keep Willie Leon Ayers in your prayers.

Episode 111 How should Christians use the Law of Moses today? How should Christians use the Law of Moses? This seems to be a major issue in our time. The law was given to Israel through Moses and takes a large place in the Old Testament. But most of us are not of Israel, so how should we use the Law? In our last program we introduced this subject but today we want to go farther. Most of us are very familiar with the teaching that the law came through Moses, but grace through Jesus Christ. But what does that mean to us in practical terms? Do we just completely discount the Law of Moses? What meaning does it have to us? How should we use the law in our personal lives, with our family, and in the church? How should we use it with those who are not in Christ? Many today are trying to go back and keep certain parts of the Law of Moses. Is this right? Why was the Law of Moses given? To specify the moral requirements of a Holy God To reveal sin (Rom. 7:7-13) To minister Christ (Ceremonial-sacrifices, Tabernacle) To structure the nation of Israel until Christ came (Gal. 3:19-25) When Christ came He fulfilled the Law (Matt. 5:17-20) He kept all of the commands of God perfectly He fulfilled all of the prophecies concerning the Messiah He gave Himself as the perfect sacrifice for sin once for all He made the way that the righteous requirement of God could be fulfilled in us (Rom. 8:1-4) How then is the law to be used today? To convict the sinner (I Tim. 1:8-10) As a basis for teaching the moral requirements of God (Matt. 5-7) As a basis for civil law How is the law not to be used? As a basis for our acceptance before God ((Rom. 3:19-20) As a legal (literal) requirement for conduct (Col. 2:11-23) In the New Covenant God writes His law on our hearts by the presence of the Holy Spirit (Heb. 8:7-13) God writes His word on our minds by the Holy Spirit The Holy Spirit will interpret and apply spiritual truth from the Law of Moses Spiritual men and women will use the Law of Moses to minister Christ Should Christians today keep the holy days (Sabbath, Feasts) (Rom. 14) Not to be approved before God or to be more spiritual (Gal. 5:1-6) Could be used as a form of teaching (ministry of Christ) The spirit in which we use these things is critical (must not be legal or condemning) The supreme test: Does our use of the Law of Moses minister grace? (John 1:17) Does our ministry always lead a person to union with Christ as our complete sufficiency? (Col. 2:10) Is our ministry using the Law of Moses a ministry of life or death (2 Cor. 3) Additional resources at http://www.ntchurchsource.com/ Theme song “Will Your Anchor Hold” sung by J. I Am a New Creation: Created In His Image1. The Old is Gone - Dealing with Satan's temptation and guilt 2 Cor 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.Rom 6:4 Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. That's what water baptism is all about – when we get into the water, it represents us dying and being buried to our past sins and old sinful lifestyle and coming out of the water, we come out clean and we have a brand new start – an outward declaration of an inward changeThe enemy would say to me, “If you were new you wouldn't have those bad thoughts”, the truth is my spirit was saved but my mind needed to be renewed and I had to learn who I was in Christ Many people think God is against them because of their failures and mistakes The inner image we have of ourselves will cause us to fail or succeed in life2 Cor 10:4-5 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of ChristProv 23:7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.2. The New Has Come - Knowing who we are now in ChristJn 8:32 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.Js 1:25 (nlt) But if you look carefully into the perfect law that sets you free, and if you do what it says and don't forget what you heard, then God will bless you for doing it.By getting in the word, we see ourselves the way God sees us God doesn't see you as you are now, He sees you as you will be after the word does a work in youGod calls those things that are not as though they areMatthew 16:18 I say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Had s shall not prevail against it.Simon – means unstable one, shaky like a reed. Jesus told Simon that his new name was to be Peter - solid like a large rockOur new identity is so valuable, Satan constantly attacks ItSatan wants us to believe lies about ourselves, that we are our failures, weaknesses, sins and mistakes but we are not any of that, we are what God says we are because we are in HimMk 16:7 go and tell his disciples, including Peter, that Jesus is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you before he died.”Tithe and Offerings - I Am Getting All My Needs Met By JesusPhil 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We never have to worry about finances because we honor God with the titheWhen we tithe we say that we trust God first and foremostMatt 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Overview- The Terrible End Of Judas The Betrayer. Matt 27:1-10. In our sermon today we start out finding out what happens to Jesus after the bogus trial that the religious leaders hold for Him in the court of the high priest. But right after Matthew tells us what happens to Jesus after the trial, he switches to the account of the terrible end of Judas the betrayer. We find out that Judas becomes remorseful, and that he even gives back the money, all because he realizes that he betrayed the innocent man Jesus Christ. But does Judas repent of what he did to Jesus and die a saved man? So did Judas come into a right relationship with God before he died, or not. Or did Judas not really repent of his betrayal of Christ, and end up going to Hell for what he did to Christ? Many people are torn on this big question, so I put a tremendous emphasis on answering it in today’s sermon and we read about what scripture says concerning Judas and what happens to him. May God bless you as you seek Him today Pastor Ed
