ABOUT GABRIELE CHIAVE:Gabriele's LinkedIN Profile: linkedin.com/in/gabriele-chiave-b1959022Bio:Gabriele Chiave knows no boundaries. As a lifelong observer of the world around him, Gabriele is driven by the comprehensive nature of design and a desire to ignite meaningful interaction between product and consumer. Born to diplomat parents in Metz in 1978, he has lived in France, Dakar, Caracas, Buenos Aires, Rome, Milano and now makes his home in Amsterdam. These diverse resident experiences enable him to bring a global perspective to design like no other.Gabriele studied at the European Institute of Design in Milan, Industrial Design Academy, French Lycée Chateaubriand in Rome, French Lycée Emile Zola in Buenos Aires, Argentina and French Lycée Collegio Francia in Caracas, Venezuela. He holds a Baccalaureat in Economics and Society. In addition to spending five years at Marc Sadler Studio / IS European Design Center, he won competitions for Emergency, Rotari, Epson, Toshiba and Pirelli, and worked with prestigious Italian brands such as Alessi (organization of 7 Workshops held by LPWK/Alessi), Dainese, Foscarini and Serralunga. These experiences helped Gabriele master the subtle nuances and delightful balance between form and function, industry and art, structure and experimentation. Gabriele's ‘design upbringing' was inspired by design masters Magistretti, Castiglioni, Branzi, Delucchi, Sotsass and Mari who made Italy the worldwide leader in industrial design. Gabriele exudes this foundation at Marcel Wanders, where he has worked since 2007. Evolving to become Creative Director, he now oversees all projects in product and interior design, and art direction for some of the most renowned international design brands such as Kartell, Poliform, Flos, Cappellini, B&B, Baccarat, KLM, Magis, MAC, Target, L&V, Alessi, Christofle, Marks&Spencer and many other international companies and hotels. Gabriele whole heartedly embraces the challenge of combining industry and the arts, blending Marcel's emotion with Italianindustrial tradition. His vision for the eclectic team at this ever-expanding creative hub is to freely make beauty and technical simplicity accessible to all in order to expand the human experience.************************************************************************************************************************************The next level experience design podcast is presented by VMSD magazine and Smartwork Media. Tim Morris is a coach who helps people discover their unique design and live into it. Tim lives in Cleveland, OH with his wife and two daughters. He discovered that much of our theology of the human person is based on the Enlightenment rather than the Bible and is bringing back a Hebrew understanding of the heart. in this bonus episode, we talk about the heart, why it's important to understand your design, and why it's hard for some people with God-given gifts to use them in the church. Listen to Tim's story in episode # 79 of Halfway There. Topic we discussed: What the Evangelical idea of the heart is currently Why this understanding of the heart is dangerous How the Hebrew understanding of heart is liberating Why believing “the heart is deceitful” only is problematic The one belief that will hinder you from accepting the truth about your heart How Tim helps people understand the design of their heart What happens when people discover their heart The false definition of joy How you discern your heart, emotions that should be let go, and the Spirit Tim's work with apostles and prophets (yes, they exist!) The 5 Fold and how Tim helps them Great quotes from Tim: Your heart speaks through intuition. When you actually lean into your design and step out – which means you have to step into courage – it is the hardest thing you'll ever do because God designed you to be dependent on him. Joy is the fruit of engaging your desire. Tim Morris is a professional coach called to empower visionary leaders to turn their ideas into a movement. He has developed a program called Design Discovery that is “a framework to know the superpowers, tools they uniquely use, environment they come alive, the specific people they are called to serve, and the fruit they are designed to produce.” Tim shares his experience learning listening prayer, why your heart can be trusted, and how to discover your design. Tim is also my coach and has been instrumental in helping me overcome the obstacles in my way to achieving my goals. Design Discovery helped me find my sweet spot and now Tim is helping me grow in it. If learning to live in your design is intriguing to you, listen to this episode and then reach out to Tim for more information. Stories Tim shared: Why he loves apostles, prophets, and evangelists and his calling to empower them The youth pastor who led him to give his life to Christ The church service that left him depressed for several years The moment when God spoke to him about the trustworthiness of Scripture How to master listening prayer (Silence, Imagination, Flow, Test) Why the heart is a trustworthy guide to who you are His journey into Design Discovery and how Tim uses it to unleash the heart Discerning God's will for your life through desire How he came to understand spiritual warfare Great quotes from Tim: If the enemy can take an apostle down, he can take them all down. God is more normal than you can imagine, and more supernatural than you can imagine. Desire is the leading part of the heart. Emotions, mind, and will follow behind. One of the other legit sources of God's communication to us is via our heart's desires. Christians should be the most desirous people on Earth.
