Owner of Village Ford in Dearborn, Jim Seavitt, joins Guy and Jamie to discuss the significant drop dealerships are seeing in lease returns and new sales.

Lei moves the conversation over to GM's Durant Guild that is set to import higher end GM brand vehicles into China including the electric Hummer with the conversation moving quickly over to the XPeng G9.Tu was able to join a call where President/Vice Chairman - Brian Gu and head of Autonomous Driving - Xinzhou Wu and updated the participants about the current G9 and its City NGP and how they will combine it with Highway NGP in 2023 to create XNGP.The pod ends with a discussion about Li Auto and their product lineup and the quick response to customer requests and the recent additional responsibilities added to Ford Motor's Doug Field.

Retired agent Jim Casey served in the FBI for 25 years. Prior to joining the FBI, he was a police officer in Arlington, Virginia, and a Special Agent with the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Diplomatic Security. In this episode of FBI Retired Case File Review, Jim Casey reviews a Group I undercover case from early in his career when he was in the Detroit Field Office and assigned to investigate a major auto-theft ring stealing Mercedes Benz luxury cars, and equipment and vehicles from the Ford Motor Company. Two of his fugitive subjects were caught after being featured on the TV show "America's Most Wanted." Later in his career, Jim Casey served in the Indianapolis, and Cincinnati Field Offices, as well as two tours at FBI Headquarters. Most of his assignments were in counterterrorism and national security matters. He was a Director of Intelligence Programs on the National Security Council (NSC) at the George W. Bush White House. His Bureau career culminated in his assignment as the Special Agent in Charge (SAC) of the FBI’s Jacksonville Field Office. Currently, Jim Casey is the President of FCS Global Advisors, a brand-new spin-off of the twenty-year-old security firm, First Coast Security Services (FCS). After graduating from design school he was hired by the Ford Design Center where he worked in the Dearborn Advanced Studios, Ford of Europe-Torino, Italy Studio, and the design Studios in Cologne Germany. As Chief Designer of the Ford GT and the SVT Studio Camilo and his team worked on the 2005 and 2006 production of the Ford GT. Today he has his own studios in Detroit and Los Angeles where he draws and paints both automotive and fashion themed art. Camilo has hosted the Detroit Auto’s Designers’ Night, an internationally recognized event attended by the top automotive personnel and designers from around the world.
This week, Howes says the auto sales slowdown and the quickening pace of electrification will give Detroit’s automakers a chance to prove some things. Those start with showing investors new discipline amid slowing sales, like avoiding incentive wars that drain profits and tarnish brands. The 2017 Detroit Auto show has landed and what a dud it was. Nissan announced the Rogue sport and more automas info for this years show. The smaller Rogue or Qashqai should fit nicely in the line up here in America. The 2017 Titan took home Truck Trends truck the year award.
