Don Cox joins the JMO Podcast to share stories from the past. From the Sandhills in Nebraska, Don and his fishing partner Dave Fehlhafer have been an ice fishing duo going back to the early 90's when they started competed in tournaments. The ice fishing tournament scene attracted many of the top anglers across the midwest in those days. In this interview we hear from Don what it was like to start from the bottom as beginners and work up to become champions against the best competition of the time. We dive deeper into what strategies they implemented and how they evolved as anglers along the way. Nowadays Don and Dave spend their time on the ice more recreationally, traveling and breaking down new water with some of the same vigor and haste as they did in competition. The group has grown with the addition of Don's 4 sons who all adopted the passion for ice fishing in their own right. As an Ice Team member he promotes ice fishing opportunities and shares information through social media or at industry events. The fishing adventures that Don shares on social media each winter are entertaining and informational, just like this podcast.Zulauf Construction - https://www.zulaufconstruction.com701-630-0197Ships Wheel Resort - https://www.shipswheelresort.comTwin Island Sleepers - https://www.twinislandsleepers.comSummit Fishing Equipment - https://summitfishingequipment.comRisovi Taxidermy Studio - www.risovitaxidermystudio.comFlop Box - https://mght.co/JMOWebsite - www.jmopodcast.comFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/JMOFishingPodcastInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/the_jmopodcast/

Neil Rogers is pissed off and fired up today. On Mr. Kane's show yesterday a discussion of the movie "Talk Radio" turned into 4 hours of ripping Neil, Glen, and their fans. The chronic regulars and Neil haters have have a field day. It reminded Neil of the old WGBS days. Some Guiding Light talk, Don Cox calls, and the new line up at WJNO. What will happen to Neil's ratings now that he will have to be on at the same time as Lee Fowler?
Neil, and Glen hear from Don Cox, and Johnny Dark about the rumors that Sonny Fox was fired. Nobody from sales told Neil that the new Char-Hut will not be opening until next month. Old fart story, and why snowbirds drive so slow. They were told today that they have to work next Monday. Lady caller tells Neil to shut up. Paul Harvey Jr. calls, and Ed has been calling Renieri.
Most of the WIOD show. Neil talks and Glen cackles. A couple of Ernie Sochin Spy Reports, including The Bird and Paul Harvey, Jr. Don Cox from WPOW calls again. Just how many times does Neil have to say WIOD per hour? A guy named Jeff calls to plug his pizza joint on Flagler.

Dusty Rodiek was in a group of ice anglers including Dave Genz, Kathy Roberts, Chris Bressler and Don Cox on Lake Casscade in Idaho. It just so happens he caught the biggest perch! #ittoutdoors #iceteam #lakecascade #monsterperch
Rangers returned to North America in 1976 for the first time in more than two decades, embarking on a five-stop tour beginning in the Pacific Northwest. As the USA geared up for its bicentennial and Gerald Ford was on the campaign trail in Portland, Oregon, Rangers rode into town (literally on the day) to take on the Timbers on 23 May. In the third episode of the Rangers From Sea to Shining Sea series, Shane Nicholson is joined by longtime friend of the CROpod Gary Havlin and brand new friend Don Cox to talk about the third matchday of the 1976 tour. How did Bruce Rioch's little brother almost not survive?; Was it really Jock Wallace that played peacemaker?; and Does Providence Park still have a feral cat colony?
