By the shed blood of Christ, the Lamb of God, eternal death has passed over us. Now we pass with Christ through death into life everlasting. For Christ the crucified One is risen! The stone has been rolled away from the tomb, revealing that the tomb could not hold Him (Mark 16:1–8). Now our Redeemer lives eternally to save us from sin and Satan and the grave, and we can live in the sure hope of our own bodily resurrection with Christ. “After my skin has been thus destroyed, yet in my flesh I shall see God” (Job 19:26). Feasting on the living Christ, who is our meat and drink indeed, we boldly say: “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting? . . . But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ” (1 Cor. 15:54–55, 57). Lectionary summary © 2021 The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod. Death is coming for all of us—but it doesn't have to be the end. In this powerful message, Pastor John Hill shares how Jesus offers true freedom from fear, sin, and even the grave. If you're searching for hope that lasts, this is a message you need to hear.
Easter is a big deal because it's all about Jesus—who He is, what He claimed, and what He accomplished through His life, death, and resurrection. If Jesus really rose from the dead, then His promises are true, sin is forgiven, death is defeated, and the hope of restoration and justice is real.Sermon Preached by Chris Lewis on April 20, 2025Foothill Church exists to glorify God by living as disciples of Jesus who make disciples of Jesus. https://foothill.churchLearn about our For the Sake of His Name 2-Year Discipleship Journey:https://foothill.church/FTSOHN
On this Easter morning, we will come together to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Gospel of Mark's telling of the story will center our worship as we will hear of Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome being alarmed by the scene they encounter upon arriving at Jesus' burial place. Not only has the stone been rolled away, but a young man dressed in white tells them that Jesus has been raised from the dead and that he is going ahead of them to Galilee. As we celebrate the miracle of Jesus' resurrection, we will reflect on the power of the gospel promise that Jesus goes ahead of us. Sermon on Mark 16:1-8, delivered by the Reverend David J. Powers on April 20th, 2025.
In this Easter Sermon, based on Luke 24:1-12, Pastor Scott explores the hopeful promise of the empty tomb, by way of direwolf de-extinction and Jurassic Park. This is the assigned text for Sunday April 20th, Easter Sunday.

Sermon for Sunday, March 27, 2016. This is the seventy-eightth sermon preached in English on www.thecloudchurch.org. It was preached by Pastor/Missionary Evangelist Robert Breaker, who shows the truth about Easter and its pagan origins. It also shows that Easter time should be only about the RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ, and NOT about Semiramis, Nimrod, Tammuz, eggs, and or bunnies.
