The Lost Princess of Oz - L. Frank Baum - Book 11 Title: The Lost Princess of Oz Overview: The Lost Princess of Oz is the eleventh canonical Oz book written by L. Frank Baum. Published on June 5, 1917, it begins with the disappearance of Princess Ozma, the ruler of Oz, and covers Dorothy and the Wizard's efforts to find her. The introduction to the book states that its inspiration was a letter a young girl had written to Baum: "I suppose if Ozma ever got hurt or lost, everybody would be sorry." The book was dedicated to the author's newborn granddaughter Ozma Baum, child of his youngest son Kenneth Gage Baum.         New "Kahnversations" Podcast with Actor Alanna Ubach!   In this episode of "Kahnversations," we interview Alanna Ubach. Alanna Noël Ubach was born in Downey, California, USA and is of Puerto Rican and Mexican decent. A chameleon-like actress and voice over talent, she is best known for her roles in MEET THE FOCKERS, RANGO, the Peabody Award- winning MEN OF A CERTAIN AGE, HUNG, LEGALLY BLONDE, WAITING, and her portrayal of Jo Frumpkis in Bravo's first scripted series,  GIRLFRIENDS' GUIDE TO DIVORCE. She was recently seen in the Netflix film TO THE BONE, alongside Lily Collins and Keanu Reeves, and has a voiceover role in Pixar's upcoming COCO. She has voiced several cartoon roles on series such as EL TIGRE, WELCOME TO THE WAYNE, TEAMO SUPREMO and HANDY MANDY!   Ubach is hardly recognizable from one character to the next, leveraging her broad width of versatility on stage, screen, and animation. She began acting professionally at the age of five. Quoted as "an exceptionally talented and protean actress" by The New York Times and Variety, Ubach made her Off-Broadway debut at the age of fifteen in CLUB SODA. She later starred in KINDERTRANSPORT at the Manhattan Theater Club and PATRIOTIC BITCH, a one woman show at New York's Harold Clurman Theater. Fred Stoller appeared on almost every standup comedy show in the late 80's and early 90's.  From the Tonight Show (with yodelers) to David Letterman (the day the space shuttle Challenger exploded) to the 13th Annual Young Comedians Special on HBO (with Rob Schneider and David Spade).  You've also seen him in Dumb & Dumber as the guy who gets punched out at the phone booth and in Seinfeld as Fred, the guy who doesn't remember meeting Elaine.  Now a successful guest star on numerous TV Shows like Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, and Handy Mandy.  Fred recently wrote a Kindle single about his experiences as a writer on Seinfeld for one year entitled "My Seinfeld Year" If you're a Seinfeld fan it's the best $1.99 you'll ever spend.  Fred also has a movie that he wrote called Fred & Vinnie which is currently playing at film festivals nationwide.  Fred has been one of my favorite comedians since before I even started doing standup so getting to interview him was an honor.  I hope you like it.
