Jesus loves you. A lot. But just like every great relationship, there will be challenges as you grow together. Come and explore the 3 types of people who rarely step up to that challenge. And the simple way not to be one of them.
Ridiculously, some people in the end times will try to HIDE FROM GOD.It cannot be done, of course. We can solve their problem in the FUTURE by not hiding from God NOW. We can LOOK GOD IN THE FACE now. He'll be HOLY. We won't be. It is kind of brutal. To look Him in the face now is to repent, believe and receive.Let's LOOK HIM in the face now, so we Won't be hiding from His face on THAT DAYbewithme.us subscribe on Youtube follow on insta.
Adam and Eve followed Satan down the path of sin and disobedience to God. This brought shame to them and built a wall of conviction between them and God. They then hid from Him instead of meeting with Him. Have you been hiding from God? Have you ever done something so naughty that you were ashamed? A long time ago Adam and Eve did just that. “The Lord is good and his love endures forever.” PSALM 100:5, NIV. God loves us all the time, even when we do wrong.
God still loves us and will forgive us if we are truly sorry when we do something wrong. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness”(1 John 1:9).

It's impossible to avoid the temptation of hiding our sin - but no matter how much it might make us feel safe for a while - it leaves us no way to really get rid of our shame, guilt, or regret. Our good shepherd, who pursues us in spite of our rebellion, speaks to us through his voice and his word to bring us hope, healing, and restoration and restores our place and calling in him.“Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden. But the Lord God called to the man, ‘Where are you?' He answered, ‘I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.' And he said, ‘Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?'”Genesis 3:8-11To plug into our daily bible study, text "DLR" to 501-200-3122 and follow the link to sign up. Hiding is something we do when we are afraid or ashamed of something weve done. Adam and Eve hid from the presence of God when they sinned and disobeyed him in the garden of Eden. Cain fled from the presence of God after he murdered his brother Able. The Bible tells us in the book of Romans, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men. The wonderful news in the Gospel is Jesus came into the world to save sinners. At Calvarys cross Jesus laid down His life to redeem sinners. There is no need to hide from God he does not treat us as our sins deserve or repay us according to our iniquities. The post Are you hiding from God? appeared first on Preachers Corner.

Jonah continues running from God by hiding out on a ship sailing in the opposite direction from where God wants him to be. In life, we too can hide from God. If God is love and offers us his goodness, why do we hide from him? This exploratory question can reveal a struggle that we all face.
What a wonderful God we have that we can come to Him when we fail and he will forgive and forget.
'Coming to Jesus' looks at real issues, real stories, and the real Jesus. You can listen and get involved further with each story that we look at by heading over to Acorn's YouTube channel where we will reflect on the interaction with Jesus and pray. After Jonah had been thrown into the sea and was sinking in the seaweed, he was sucked into a dark void where he found he could breathe fishy smelling air. He concluded that he was alive and praised God, praying for three days and nights. The fish vomited him out on the shore of the sea and God told him again to go to Nineveh to preach God's message to that city.
If you are feeling overwhelmed by your feelings, you are not alone. We as a society have spent a long time shoving down emotions and striving to get through what we are experiencing. Overwhelm happens when we bottle up all that we are feeling and lock it away, hoping that time will heal our wounds. But that's not how feelings work. They transform into something better or bigger. In this episode, I'm sharing five steps that will make you aware of your emotions as they come to create space between us and the emotion allowing us to focus our souls on God's truth. A man hiding in shame and regret from past his decisions encountered the love of God in the middle of a mall in Arizona. Much like the woman at the well in John 4, this man realized that he was fully known and fully loved by God. Jesus comes with a genuinely life-changing message, one that calls us out of hiding. It's easy to convince ourselves that justifying, repressing or ignoring our sin is the best way to get over it. But God invites us to come to Him, reveal our mess, and to stop hiding.
