Testimony Tuesday: Sister Savannah - Part 1 of 2

Send us Fan MailPain has a way of rewriting your story, especially when it starts early. Savannah walks us through a childhood shaped by family upheaval, poverty, sexual abuse, and exposure to violence and addiction, then into adolescence marked by depression, grief, and a growing anger at God. It's not a polished testimony. It's the kind that sounds like real life when nobody is editing the hard parts. Then comes the night that stops you in your tracks: too much weed, a scary movie, crushing paranoia, and a prayer she barely knows how to pray. Savannah describes a bright flash, a wave of peace, and being instantly clear minded, like she's seeing the world with new eyes. She believes that moment is the Holy Spirit breaking through, turning doubt into certainty and fear into faith. If you've ever wondered whether God can meet someone in the middle of a mess, her story gives you a lot to sit with. We also talk about what happens after the “moment” when life is still complicated: an unhealthy marriage, the weight of motherhood, and the shock of an unexpected divorce. Savannah shares how that heartbreak led her to Christian fellowship on TikTok, mentorship that pushed her back to the Bible, and a “trust but verify” approach to discernment that keeps her grounded in Scripture. She even describes quitting vaping abruptly, without cravings, as part of the change God works in her life. If you're navigating trauma recovery, divorce healing, Christian discipleship, or you're simply trying to rebuild faith one step at a time, this conversation is for you. Send us Fan MailLove can look like tenderness, but it can also look like honesty. We sit down with Savannah, a new believer who describes a faith that's learning to hold compassion and accountability at the same time. She shares how empathy, suffering, and a growing love for Scripture shape the way she talks to people, corrects with kindness, and refuses to use flattery as a shortcut to peace.A major turning point is her struggle with the sovereignty of God and the realization that her free will wasn't as “free” as she once assumed. We unpack why God's sovereignty is not a cold doctrine but a lifeline: if God truly rules, then his promises are not wishful thinking. That truth becomes especially personal as Savannah walks through ongoing trials as a single mother, leaning on prayer, Bible reading, and the steady presence of other Christians who remind her she is not alone. We also talk sanctification and the hard surprise of seeing sin more clearly over time, plus the guilt and shame that can follow. The conversation moves into spiritual warfare, staying anchored in the Word, and navigating noisy online spaces like TikTok without getting pulled into confusion. We close with simple, direct gospel clarity and an invitation to keep seeking Jesus. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review. Kari Lake Appointed Ambassador to Jamaica!?  It's Testimony Tuesday and the corruption is on full display. Hegseth and Joint Chiefs Chairman Dan Caine are on the Hill asking Congress for $1.5 trillion more for the Pentagon — a Christmas tree budget designed to bankroll the unauthorized Iran war and whatever comes next, whether that's Venezuela, Greenland, Mexico, or Cuba. Buried in the same hearing: the Pentagon's own CFO admitting the Iran tab is now $29 billion and counting, $4 billion more than Americans were told. Gas is up, beef is up, tomatoes are up 40%, inflation just hit a five-year high, and 70% of the country disapproves of Trump on the economy. The pigs are at the trough and the rest of us are getting screwed. Paul breaks down why the December defense vote is the real fight, why Hegseth's open defiance of Congress on Ukraine aid is impeachment-grade, and why FBI Director Crash Patel spending his testimony defending his sobriety is not a sign of a healthy republic. He hits the Mitch McConnell mid-hearing meltdown — fitness, not age, is the metric — calls out Kari Lake being shipped to Jamaica, flags Dan Osborn pulling ahead of Pete Ricketts in Nebraska, and closes with the people stepping up to be the vaccine: nurses on International Nurses Day, Ukrainian medics under shellfire, and the new Astronauts for America. Send us Fan MailShe thought she was finally doing life right: Army at 17, law enforcement, marriage, a home, a new baby. Then grief and collapse came fast a child's death in the family, a marriage unraveling under trauma, finding her father dead from opioid addiction, and losing the career she loved. When everything stacked up, Argerie Tyson didn't tell a polished story. She told the honest one.We talk with her about growing up with addiction, violence, and sexual abuse, and how that kind of trauma can twist your sense of trust, safety, and relationships for years. She shares what it was like trying to “fix herself” through self-help and New Age spirituality, why it seemed peaceful at first, and the frightening moment she describes as a glimpse of what separation from God feels like. The turning point is simple and unforgettable: she finds a Bible, calls on the name of Jesus Christ, and the terror lifts. From there, we dig into discernment and doctrine: why she believes witchcraft and the prosperity gospel run on the same engine of works and control, and why the real miracle isn't health, wealth, or a better “manifested” life, but God raising the spiritually dead by grace. If you care about biblical Christianity, spiritual warfare, leaving the New Age, and the sovereignty of God in salvation, you'll find both warning and hope here.Subscribe for more conversations like this, share this with a friend who needs clarity, and leave a review so more people can find it. Send us Fan MailA soft voice can still be a refusal to hear the truth, and we don't want to confuse “nice” with “faithful.” We start by calling out the spiritual marketplace behind prosperity gospel preaching and modern “prophet” culture, then we pivot into something far more personal: Tyson's testimony and the kind of encouragement that lands right where it's needed. We talk about what it looks like to examine ourselves without spiraling into shame, how forgiveness grows out of remembering how much we've been forgiven, and why worth isn't something the world gets to assign. From there, the conversation sharpens around biblical truth and division. We challenge the idea that division is automatically bad by looking at how God separates light from darkness, and we name the real culprit behind destructive division: lies. That leads to a practical discipleship question many Christians avoid, whether we actually take Christ's commands like orders or keep trying to rewrite them to fit our comfort. The night also holds space for healing. A therapy practice of writing to your childhood self becomes a gospel exercise, asking how you'd speak hope to the version of you that endured trauma. We talk about how salvation changes purpose from serving self to serving others, and we share worship, nerves, and the courage to keep showing up with humility. We close by reflecting on why people chase counterfeits when they don't press into the deep things of God, then we end in prayer for boldness, sanctification, and lives that stay at Jesus' feet.If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs steady truth, and leave a review. Send us Fan MailThe prosperity gospel promises control. The real gospel takes it away and somehow gives you something better. We tell the story of how Tyson walked out of Word of Faith thinking and into a Bible-shaped faith, starting with resources like The American Gospel and teachers who won't bend Scripture to fit a moment. Along the way, we talk about why those awkward, repetitive gospel conversations with family matter more than we think. Seeds get planted at holidays, on phone calls, in messy relationships, and God can bring them back years later like puzzle pieces finally clicking into place. This conversation doesn't dodge the hard parts: childhood trauma, looking for counterfeit father figures, and the complicated work of forgiving a parent. Tyson shares what it meant to care for her mother through cancer, keep bringing the gospel even when it was rejected, and then discover a diary entry that brought unexpected closure. If you've ever wondered how to hold truth and tenderness at the same time, you'll feel the tension and the hope here.We also go deep on Reformed theology, the doctrines of grace, total depravity, and the sovereignty of God. We talk about pride, self-protection, anger, and why sanctification can look like a thousand small turns to the Lord. Tyson anchors that growth in 2 Corinthians 3:16: veils lifted, freedom found, and real change “from glory to glory.”Subscribe for more conversations like this, share it with a friend who's sorting through prosperity teaching, and leave a review if it helps. Send us Fan MailYou can hear it in her voice when she says it: “I feel different.” That single sentence opens a bigger conversation about what Christian salvation actually does, how God changes a person from the inside out, and why you don't have to “clean yourself up” before coming to Jesus. We talk about walking someone into faith, then walking with them afterward through the real work of discipleship, learning, and rebuilding a life with patience and love. The story turns raw as we trace what it looks like to be the sheep that wandered. We get honest about chasing money, chasing relief, and chasing identity, only to come up empty, and we share a jaw dropping moment where a door to temptation closes in a way you can't ignore. From there, we wrestle with chastisement, spiritual growth, and the kind of testimony that doesn't glamorize the past but shows God's mercy and protection. If you've searched for “coming back to God,” “Christian testimony,” or “how to surrender to God,” you'll hear language that keeps it real without losing hope. We also dig into the difference between happiness and the joy of the Lord, plus why Bible study is not just information but a foundation that holds under pressure. The conversation challenges legalism, pride, and the subtle ways we talk like we saved ourselves, then closes with a hard but comforting truth: God is sovereign, suffering is not purposeless, and faith often grows when we finally surrender control. If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find it. Send us Fan MailTrust is easy to say and hard to live, especially when your story includes real wounds. We sit down with Megan for a candid, faith-forward conversation about what it takes to keep trusting God when emotions flare, relationships strain, and the past tries to name you. She talks about forgiveness as a deliberate choice, the kind that refuses to let bitterness win and instead leans on God's protection over the soul. We also dig into how Bible study changes as you mature, from collecting familiar verses to finding “gold nuggets” that connect across Scripture. Megan explains why passages about fear, power, love, and a sound mind became more than comfort, they became training. From there we move into the Book of Job and the sovereignty of God, not as a theory but as a lived reality, where grief, anger, and questions still sit under God's rule and goodness. Then we tackle the pressure point many Christians feel right now: compromising biblical truth for the sake of unity and friendship. The conversation gets blunt about fence sitting faith, double mindedness, and why conviction can cost you relationships. We close by talking TikTok ministry as a modern mission field, how God redeems your personality and gifts, and what surrender looks like when you finally stop trying to control everything. If this conversation helped you, subscribe, share it with a friend, and leave a review. Send us Fan MailControl can feel like protection, until it starts running your whole life. We open up about what it looks like to heal when you've spent years trying to make sure nobody can hurt you again, and how surrendering to God can be the first real breath you've taken in a long time. The talk is candid, personal, and rooted in Christian faith, with the kind of honesty that makes you rethink where anxiety actually comes from. From there, we go straight into marriage and the hard truth that love is often proven through sacrifice. We share what it means to heal alongside a spouse, to admit the ways our words have damaged someone we care about, and to let the Lord reshape how we speak. If you've ever felt like your mouth could “annihilate” someone when you're hurt, this will hit home. We also reflect on humility, especially online, and why being teachable and gracious matters more than winning an argument. Then the conversation turns unexpectedly tender: a daughter's tears, a father's fear of separation in eternity, and a simple sentence about heaven that helped change his faith. Add in real-life caregiving, a quick detour into an Eagles concert, and a little closing humor, and you've got a reminder that belief isn't theoretical. It's lived in families, in stress, in community, and in the hope that we'll see each other again. If this resonated, share it with someone who needs hope, subscribe for more honest conversations about Christian healing and relationships, and leave a review so more people can find the show.Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!

Send us Fan MailSome stories don't tie up neatly, but they can still be transformed. We share a deeply personal Christian testimony that starts with the moment Megan comes face to face with the man who stole her innocence and, by God's grace, finds herself able to comfort him. That single scene opens a bigger conversation about forgiveness, healing from trauma, and why unforgiveness can slowly poison the person who carries it. From there, we talk about what faith looks like when it's not just a church word. Marriage shows up as a real sanctification process, the place where God exposes what needs to change in us and teaches dependence when we run out of options. Megan also walks us through the long shadow of medical trauma and the courage it took to return to a women's health appointment after nearly two decades, describing how worship songs and prayer became practical tools for peace and calm. Along the way we touch infertility, surrender, and trusting God's will when the desire is real and the answer is still unclear. We end with Scripture, identity in Christ, and a picture of storms that reframes suffering with purpose, then move into an honest Q&A about discipleship at home. Megan shares how she talks with her stepson about the gospel, why salvation is more than repeating the right words, and what it felt like when he finally said, “I'm ready.” If this encouraged you, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs hope, and leave a review so more people can find these conversations.Support the showBE PROVOKED AND BE PERSUADED!

We sit down with Megan as she tells the truth about growing up around abuse, family instability, and the quiet damage that happens when the adults around you don't protect you the way they should. If you've ever searched for faith after trauma, childhood sexual abuse survivor stories, or Christian healing that feels real instead of polished, this conversation goes there. We talk about what trauma changes beyond the moment itself: how it can fracture a family, create patterns that repeat for years, and shape the way you see yourself, your future, and even God. Megan shares what it was like being sent to live with her dad as a teen, being controlled and exploited, getting kicked out with almost nothing, and still finding a path to stability, marriage, and a life that didn't have to be defined by what happened to her.The turning point comes when she feels prompted to do the unthinkable: call the man who abused her and speak forgiveness. Not forgetfulness. Not pretending. Forgiveness with tears, anger, memory, and truth still intact. And then, when her grandmother is dying, she faces a harsh test of that decision by returning to the same house and living in the tension day after day. What does it look like to live with open hands and an open heart - especially during times of uncertainty? This month we are bringing you a special conversation about hope, uncertainty, and faith, from Dr. Chaley Knight. Chaley has been a longtime member of the Waynesburg University campus as both a student and a counselor, which is how I met her. For my husband and I's first three years of marriage, we lived in the little town just north of the PA/WV border called Waynesburg, and it brought so many great people into our circle. At the time, Juan was a youth pastor and we served the students of our church every Sunday at youth group. Chaley's three kiddos were regulars there and we came to know and love them - they are so grown up now, and since we've moved away, we kept in touch via Facebook - the upside of social media! Chaley completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from WU in 2004, earned her Master's degree in counseling psychology in 2007. While a graduate student, she served as a resident director and resided in the residence hall with students. Before officially joining the Waynesburg University counseling staff, she worked within the community as a mental health therapist and addictions counselor. Chaley recently shared her testimony at Waynesburg University's chapel the other week and I came across it on my feed when she shared it to encourage others through the joy and the heartaches of her story. The way that she spoke triggered a realization inside of me - how often we hold back our stories because we are too afraid to speak with a trembling voice. Chaley shared her story with trembling, holding back tears, but did so while pointing to the God who wrote her story and writes all of ours. He is good. He is with us. In all of the uncertainty. It should be noted that Chaley's original presentation of this message was given at Waynesburg University's Chapel as part of their Testimony Tuesday series. She graciously re-recorded her testimony for us to be blessed with on the You Were Made for More Podcast.Be sure to stay up to date with Abundant Life: You Were Made for More by visiting our blog - and if you're loving the podcast, send guest recommendations to us or leave us a star-rating/review on your favorite listening platform to spread the word about the you were made for more message. You Were Made for More Social Media: FacebookInstagram

SummaryIn this KTB Podcast/Testimony Tuesday simulcast, Pastor Adam Dragoon discusses his pastoral journey, including 15 years in Virginia Beach, navigating ministry transitions, and seeking God's will. He addresses the emotional challenges of grief and loss, the importance of revival preaching, and balancing local outreach with missions. Pastor Adam emphasizes family support's role and offers guidance to young pastors on maintaining faithfulness and a right relationship with God, while acknowledging ministry's financial realities and the legacy pastors create. The conversation with Pastor Ernie Peña explores family dynamics in major life decisions, particularly their move to Arizona, discussing the excitement and nervousness of change, the evangelist's calling, and surrendering to God's will. They emphasize the importance of obedience through honest dialogue, the theme of releasing the old to build the new, and trusting God amid uncertainty, concluding with reflections on faith and a prayer for divine guidance.Chapters00:00 Introduction to the KTB Podcast05:56 Embracing Change and Transformation11:52 Challenges of Full-Time Pastoral Work17:45 Spiritual Battles and Seeking Clarity23:59 Legacy and Future Directions27:02 Lessons from Experience and Growth31:14 The Impact of Missions and Evangelism35:02 Family Dynamics and Support38:59 Conversations on Pastoral Work41:04 Family Support in Ministry42:02 Navigating Family Dynamics During Major Life Changes44:54 Excitement and Apprehension About Returning to Arizona46:21 Building Relationships and Community in a New Role49:59 The Journey of Surrender and Faith55:50 Lessons Learned: Trusting Beyond Personal Abilities01:02:56 Living Supernaturally01:05:02 Comfort Food and Personal Preferences01:06:26 Influential Books and Their Impact01:08:04 Introversion vs. Extroversion01:09:32 Alternate Life Paths01:10:32 Music and Personal Tastes01:11:32 Nature Preferences01:12:59 Anniversary Celebrations and Reflections01:14:26 Life Lessons and Advice01:15:53 The Importance of Real Conversations01:17:47 Courageous Submission01:19:13 Letting Go to Build01:20:12 Trusting God's Plan01:21:11 Closing Thoughts and PrayerShow NotesALL PROCEEDS GO TO WORLD EVANGELISMLocate a CFM Church near you: https://cfmmap.orgWe need five-star reviews! Mary welcomes Bruce Carroll to the podcast to talk about his story, his life, his art. Bruce is a quintessential musician and artist in every facet. We talk about his early years, how they formed who he is, coming from a broken home. Becoming a Christian was the farthest thing from his thoughts, like most of us. One thread that runs through every testimony from his age group is a love of music, as though that was bound to be part of our lives. How did music enter into his day to day, what was he able to build upon to become such an iconic singer songwriter in the church? We talk about the Grammys, Dove Awards, touring, record contracts, parenting, and grandparenting. Bruce is a compassionate lover of truth, and a true blessing to the church; his heart for people comes through in all he does. We also talk about the point at which the church became an inward-looking entity instead of outward. What was the Apostle Paul's answer to a selfish church? "Have nothing to do with them." An insightful hour with one of the great songwriters of our generation.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Today Mary brings her testimony to the table on our 2nd Testimony Tuesday. While every testimony is a series of divine appointments and God's revelation to the heart of someone, Mary has a historical context to widen the scope of God's providential ways. Tracing events from her great-grandmother to today, we see that God's ways are truly not ours. In the 2nd half of the podcast, we take a look at Malachi 3 and 4 and some of the most beautiful verses in the entire Bible. We talk about the books of God, and how our tears are recorded, showing us a God Who has great care and compassion for us. Once we get to the end of Malachi 4, prophetic utterances from God come to a halt, and we don't pick up the redemption story until Matthew 1, and a new epoch arrives with a song of "glory to God in the highest". What happened in that time frame? A lot, as we shall see, as we place it in historical context. A full hour looking at some of the more lovely things about this God we serve, in awe and wonder. The big picture today on Stand Up for the Truth.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A

Mary welcomes guest Richie Furay for our first Testimony Tuesday, as we look at his full and storied life as a member of pioneering bands Buffalo Springfield and Poco.  With all that success, what drove him to his knees? How does a person reconcile or intersect the unique life of the spotlight, in the definitive 1960s no less, with the calling of a pastor and troubadour for Jesus? When he returned to Ohio for his Hall of Fame induction, he had a moment of clarity, that those two lives, and all the craziness, were both him, and God was in every moment. Sometimes we have a hard time reconciling our "two lives" as believers, we run from who we were in shame. But God. We talk to him about the early years, the fame years, and the ministry years. Richie and Nancy have been married since 1967, and as the family has grown up, their seasoning and maturity in Christ has had an impact for eternity.  Keeping up with his energy level is always a great way to spend an hour.   Stand Up For The Truth Videos: https://rumble.com/user/CTRNOnline & https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgQQSvKiMcglId7oGc5c46A
