 The most downloaded episode this season goes to Jay Ball, Katelyn Dehey, and Kyle Pursell. It was a special on Veterans and their experience around different situations, including their return home, the issues they face, the stigma they face when needing mental health and how it is even harder when they get back. Kyle also explains his experience. I also really liked that they explained why thanking a veteran on veterans day is nice but maybe checking on Veterans regularly may be more important. 

In this episode, we talk about Veterans issues with Jay, Katelyn, and our guest Kyle Pursell. Kyle talks about his experience while in the service, his near death experience, as well as the stigma associated with mental health in the military. In this very important episode, returning guests Jay Ball and Katelyn Dehey discuss the impact of the War in Ukraine and how it affects so many people. We discuss the images of children crossing the border with no food, who will win, and the possible experiences of refugees based on past wars in the world. We also look at the mental health impact this will have on those fleeing the war torn country. In addition, we discuss the impact on Veterans, which many first responders are, which can be from a call to go back to serve, to PTSD symptoms, as well as how family members are coping with this stress, including possible call-ups to serve if the war escalades. We also have a great discussion on diversion courts, particularly Veterans courts, and how it can help veterans find their way.I need to share the anecdotal story: on the first day we were suppose to record, Jay though it was 7PM. He had read the time of 17:00 but only saw the 7. So we had to reschedule. This season was quite packed, with interviews with Maureen Mann, Jay Ball, Cara Tirrell, Bill Dwinnells, Sarah Turstra, and Blythe Landry. We discussed law enforcement, trauma, crisis work, holistic approaches,  money, and how all this relates to mental health. I also discussed people pleasing, the 7 dirty words in my office, bereavement, and how music is a great discussion to have with clients.
