Jodi’s late husband, Kevin O’Donnell was diagnosed with ALS at the age of 30, and he tragically succumbed to the illness at the age of 36. Throughout the course of Kevin’s illness, Jodi became intimately aware of the impact of ALS on the patient and on the family. Critically, in witnessing her young daughter having to take on a role as caregiver alongside her, she realized the gap in resources and community available for children who similarly realize the role of caregiver for family members with ALS. From her experience and her desire to help children and family members impacted by ALS, she founded Hope Loves Company, the only non-profit in the U.S. with the mission of providing educational and emotional support to children and young adults who had or have a loved one battling ALS. Jodi started Hope Loves Company from her home, and it has since grown into a national organization that has helped thousands of children and families whose lives have been affected by ALS.

GENERATION GAB! It's the show where a millennial (Chase O'Donnell) and a gen X (John Lehr) talk about the differences of their generations. If for no other reason than to make each other laugh. This week, John and Chase interview Chase's dad, Kevin O'Donnell. He belongs to the boomer generation, so his first concert was Elton John at Dodgers Stadium. #cray. He also had a leisure suit (whatever that is) and used the phrase 'Bitchen'. Chase quizzes John and her dad on millennial phrases and it's probably the highlight of all of quarantine. Kevin, is a patron, which means he pays $ each month to support our show. Yes he's Chase's dad, yes he might be biased, but he thinks you should become a patron as well. All you have to do is go to Patreon.com/generationgab to check out the perks of donating! We'd really appreciate it and are so grateful for everyone who's contributed so far! Have a safe and healthy week. Sit back, relax and enjoy the show!

Now Queensland Deputy Commissioner Tracy Linford’s world was literally blown apart when as a junior constable a bomb went off outside the Russell St police HQ where she was stationed in Melbourne. Since then she’s worked to bring paedophile priest Kevin O’Donnell to justice, helped develop police tactics to end the Melbourne gangland killings and been involved in counter terrorism in two states. At times she’s been harassed and faced chilling death threats, but perhaps most bizarre of all were the actions of a love-struck crim. See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
