Als Facebook 2014 für zwei Milliarden Euro Oculus VR kaufte, beschloss Steiner, seinen aktuellen Job zu kündigen und Vollzeit in der VR-Branche einzutauchen. 2015 gründete er mit Claus Divossen das Senselab.
