Ist Mobile-VR schon wieder out? Intel kippt Alloy: https://vrodo.de/project-alloy-weshalb-intel-die-entwicklung-der-mr-brille-einstellte/
On this episode of the Droid Life Show, we're hypebeasting the Google event that'll go down on October 4! Crazy to think that we are only 2 days away from the madness. Since we're fully expecting to see the new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, Pixelbook, Google Home Mini, and a new Daydream View all on stage at some point, we thought we'd catch everyone up on what's new. Let's also not forget that there could be some surprises, perhaps in the form of Android 8.1, a new Pixel experience update (like a new launcher), Google Assistant heading to Chromebooks, and more. We also want to talk about Amazon's new Echo line-up and Fire TV 4K, plus some other happenings from around the tech world. If you miss us live, want the audio version, or just want to catch-up on old episodes, you can subscribe here: https://www.droid-life.com/show/

On this episode of the Droid Life Show, boy do we have a ton of stuff to cover. As you know, we revealed what may be all of Google's new products that are scheduled to be announced on October 4. From the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL, to the new Google Home Mini, Pixelbook, and refreshed Daydream View, we'll talk about it all.
Google’s smartphone-powered VR platform, Daydream, represents the company’s most significant push to date in its effort to accelerate the adoption of VR. We’ve spent the last few weeks testing the platform with a Pixel phone and a Daydream View headset. Bottom line: Daydream isn’t there...

In this week's episode, we cover two topics: technology and the US presidential election, and a review of Google's three new hardware products: Home, Pixel, and Daydream View. Our first topic, which takes up a little over the first half of the episode, is this week's US presidential election. We do share our personal thoughts on the outcome briefly, but most of this segment is devoted to the role technology and particularly social media played in the election, and then the likely outcome of the election for tech policy. We specifically discuss trade, M&A activity and the media, net neutrality, and repatriation of overseas profits. Our second topics is our Question of the Week, in which Jan shares his first impressions of Google's Home, Pixel and Daydream View hardware, which he's been using for a while now. We discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each piece of hardware, as well as Jan's overall views on Google's first hardware efforts. We wrap up with our Weekly Pick, which this week is a camping stove recommended by Aaron. As usual, you'll find links to related material including where to find Aaron's Weekly Pick on the website at podcast.beyonddevic.es.
On this episode of the DL Show, we're catching up on two weeks worth of news, but we'll focus a lot of time on Google Home and Daydream View, since both are available from Google. After, we'll talk Nougat updates, Galaxy S8 rumors, OnePlus' new phone, where our V20 review is, and more!
On this week's show: More on Google Home, our Daydream View review, Samsung's foldable phone design appears in a patent, and more!
