Horror Month brings Tread Perilously to the USA Network's 1990s Swamp Thing series and an episode called "A Jury of His Fears." When Anton Arcane is electrocuted following Swamp Thing's latest dismantling of his underwater lab, he finds himself in an in-between state. Unfortunately for Arcane, that place between living and dying presents itself as a courtroom -- and he's the defendant! A jury of his previous victims convenes to decide if the ends justified Arcane's means. Will Anton atone for crimes at least one part of his soul is willing to admit he committed? Will the program itself atone for the hate crime it commits? And will anyone learn the lesson of the Swamp Thing? Noted slashfic author Alan Moore gets referenced once or twice, as does Len Wein. Justin reveals why so many conspiracy theories are believable while Erik decides to believe Quincy Jones's answer to the Kennedy assassination. The films of Edgar Wright get examined. The pair recall the various phases of the USA Network. Justin praises Marvel's Cloak & Dagger for its translation of superhero costumes. Anton Arcane receives the full Fashion Police treatment. Erik recalls the working film studio at Universal Studios Florida and the hostilities toward Denmark resume.

Tread Perilously's tour of failed TV pilots continues with the 2011 Wonder Woman pilot. Its reputation is justly deserved. Diana of Themyscira (Adrianne Palicki) lives a triple life. She's a high-powered executive at Themyscira Industries, a superhero known as "Wonder Woman" and Diana Prince, a lonely woman looking for a man to make sense of all of her troubles. While the company tries to introduce a new Wonder Woman doll, Diana sets her sights on disreputable pharmaceutical executive Veronica Cale (Elizabeth Hurley), who is starting some sort of super-solider program. She also butts heads with Los Angeles detective Ed Indelicato (Pedro Pascal). It all comes down to a warehouse fight and a surprise appearance from her ex, Steve Trevor (Justin Bruening). Erik and Justin end up talking about Supergirl and the Wonder Woman feature a great deal. Erik points out geographical detail and Justin marvels at his ability to use L.A. shortcuts. They also talk about The Shield, which should give you an idea of how much they did not enjoy the Wonder Woman pilot. Erik accuses Kelley of skimming the Wikipedia article on Wonder Woman as the beginning and end of his research. He also explains to Justin the phenomenon of "Surprise Darkseid." Tread Perilously's love affair with Marvel's Cloak & Dagger continues and Justin points out how David E. Kelley failed to make a single choice in developing this Wonder Woman series.

It's Episode 100! We've done this whole celebration thing once before, back when we were that other podcast on that other website that doesn't even exist anymore. But anyway ... we're having tacos to celebrate! You guys, there are so many new good shows this week! How did this happen? It's not even the summer yet. Holy moly! NEWS HIGHLIGHTS THIS WEEK: After the end of Season 9, Andrew Lincoln will officially be leaving "The Walking Dead." Lauren Cohan will also be leaving the series somewhere in the middle of Season 9, after contractually appearing in six episodes — she's going to star in the new ABC series "Whisky Cavalier." "Roseanne" is canceled but ABC is allegedly working to make a spinoff that would center on Sara Gilbert's character Darlene, instead. Let's discuss this "Lethal Weapon" drama, shall we? Clayne Crawford and Damon Wayans sound like just a nightmare.  "MST3K" has announced a 30th-anniversary live tour may be coming to a city near you. It will feature reboot host Jonah Ray, Crow, Tom Servo … and Joel Hodgson. Hodgson wrote in a statement, "We’ll be performing two completely different shows as part of the tour, featuring two incredibly strange and cheesy feature films: The Brain, a Canadian sci-fi suburban nightmare, and Deathstalker, a fun sword and sandal epic with some surprisingly muppety monsters! As with last year, these are two completely different shows they’ll be alternating throughout the tour. Beginning on October 9 in Portland, ME, the tour will last six weeks, span 29 cities, and comprise 42 shows. Tickets go on sale to the general public 10 pm ET on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. So, you know… be ready for that." Celebrity guests confirmed for the new season of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee": the late Jerry Lewis, Ellen DeGeneres, Dave Chappelle, Kate McKinnon, Hasan Minhaj, Dana Carvey, Neil Brennan, Tracy Morgan, Brian Regan, Zach Galifianakis, Alec Baldwin and John Mulaney.
